세라믹의 완전 소결체는 높은 경도와 취성을 가지기 때문에 연삭과 같은 입자가공이 행해지게 되어, 가공능률이 매우 낮고, 복잡한 형상 창성이 어렵다. 완전소결된 세라믹의 절삭가공에서는, 공구수명이 짧고, 가공속도가 매우 늦어 일반의 부품가공에 적용하기 어렵다. 또한 소결이 전혀 행해지지 않은 성형체의 절삭가공은 공작물의 강도가 약하기 때문에 가공속도, 가공능률, 부품의 척킹 및 치수 정밀도 등에 문제가 있다고 할 수 있다 이러한 문제 때문에 엔지니어링 세라믹의 고능률, 고품위 절삭에 관한 연구가 필요하다.(중략)

Engineering database for CIM of injection mold production has been developed to manage design information and parameters of injection mold. The database has direct connection with product data management system and management database. Design specifications are generated in initial stage of mold design with integration of management information. Design parameters and bill of materials for mold base parts are generated during the CAD process and transferred to the manufacturing database and procurement system. Standard modules for parts and mold base are constructed using national standard and legacy data of industries. The engineering database provides important information route for CIM of injection mold design and production.

The application range of injection molded parts is expanding by the development of engineering plastics with good mechanical properties. Plastic gears are specially used as automotive parts due to an excellent performance in the characteristics of a strength vs. weight, and the study of injection molding process of plastic gear using Nylon66 is performed in this study. Filling, packing and cooling analyses were done by using the simulation software like Moldflow, and a mold was designed by following the simulation results. Pin-point gates with three points were taken to satisfy the design guides like a full-shot, and lower clamping force and uniform shrinkage. Characteristics of shrinkage of molded gear and temperature difference between cavity and core sides of a mold were shown.

건국대학교는 창립40주년을 맞이하여 2,000년대를 조명하는 미래지향적이고 기능적인 도서관건립을 위해 지명현상공모를 실시하여 응모결과 총8점의 작품이 접수되어 지난 2월28일 심사후 그 결과를 발표하였다. 단일건물로서의 상징성과 웅장성을 강조한 이번 현상공모에는 아도무건축(장석웅) 안이 최우수작으로 결정되었으며 본지에서는 8점의 응모된 전작품을 게재하면서 지면의 부족으로 방대한 내용의 일부만을 게재함을 안타깝게 생각한다
