Development of a small 6-axis force/moment sensor for robot's finger (로봇 손가락용 소형 6축 힘/모멘트센서 개발)

  • This paper describes the development of a small 6-axis force/moment sensor for robot's finger, which measures forces Fx. Fy, Fz, and moments Mx, My, Mz simultaneously. In order to safely grasp an unknown object using the robot's gripper, and accurately perceive the position of it in the gripper, it should measure the force in the gripping direction, the force in the gravity direction and the moments each direction. and perform the control using the measured forces and moments. Thus, the robot's gripper should be composed of 6-axis force/moment sensor that can measure forces Fx, Fy, Fz, and moments Mx, My. Mz simultaneously. In this paper, the small 6-axis force/moment sensor for measuring forces Fx, Fy, Fz, and moments Mx, My, Mz simultaneously was newly modeled using several parallel-plate beams, designed, and fabricated. The characteristic test of made sensor was performed, and the result shows that interference errors or the developed sensor are less than 3%. Thus, the developed small 6-axis force/moment sensor may be used for robot's gripper.

  • Aerodynamic performance and starting characteristic of wind turbine blade are important factors that determine the whole system as rated power, operating method, etc. Therefore, starting characteristic according to aerodynamic performance, wind speed and blade pitch angle should be examined while wind turbine blade is designed. In this study, the aerodynamic analysis program of 750㎾ class horizontal axis wind turbine blade was developed and to certify this program, the aerodynamic performance of the commercialized blade was analyzed with it. The analysis result was corresponding to the value presented from manufacturer. And the starting analysis program was developed on the basis of the developed aerodynamic analysis program and starting analysis was performed. As a result, it was confirmed that variable speed operation and variable pitch control are profitable to wind turbine used in low wind speed as our country.

  • Performance test of a full-scale turbopump assembly for a 75 ton class liquid rocket engine was carried out at full speed. Model fluid was used as a working medium: liquid nitrogen for the oxidizer pump, water for the fuel pump, and hot air for the turbine. The turbopump was operated stably, satisfying the performance requirements. Head coefficient and flow coefficient of the pumps remained constant at the speed-increasing period. In terms of performance characteristics of pumps and turbine, the results from the turbopump assembly test showed a good agreement with those from the turbopump component tests.

  • This paper dealt with the performance evaluation and the diagnostic techniques of lightning arresters for DC electric traction vehicle. Field Measurements on the protective operation of lightning arresters against surge currents were carried out on running vehicles to acquire the data necessary for the diagnosis. The frequency and the magnitude of surge events were analyzed. Surge currents of $1\sim3$ times were recorded in one running service route and their magnitudes were ranges of $150A\sim2kA$. Also, an acceleration experiment on a lightning arrester by the standard lightning impulse current of 8/20 us and 5 kA was performed to know the aging characteristics. After the surge current application of 3,000 times, the reference voltage decreased by 4.5 %, and the leakage current was below 10 uA at the continuous operating voltage and about 50 uA at the rated voltage. From the experimental results, we propose a decision level of leakage current for the arrester used in this paper and designed an arrester tester which analyzes arrester condition by the magnitude of leakage current.

  • The experimental results and application potentials of a ZVS Forward DC-DC converter based coreless PCB transformer and coreless inductor are presented. The experimental converter, that has a maximum power of 12W, maximum switching frequency of 2.2MHz and nominal input voltage of 24V, has been successfully implemented. The coreless PCB transformer and inductor are found to have many favorable characteristics to high frequency operations due to the absence of a core loss. A power conversion efficiency of the experimental converter was measured at 70${\sim}$80%, and the output was regulated at 12V within 0.7% tolerance.

  • As this paper is related to the relay and its driving control method, it explains about the relay which connects or interrupts the DC high voltage battery's power to drive the electric car's inverter. The paper suggests a sub-relay which prevents strong sparks from relay's contact point when the relay connects to the DC high voltage battery and also compensates for the increasing internal resistance value that is caused by deterioration at contact point. The relay's rated power is approximately 10KW and the relay's electric property has been verified through electrical instantaneous power short test, etc.

  • 초전도 한류 소자의 퀜치 특성은 인가 전압의 크기와 시간에 의존한다. 본 연구에서는 사파이어 기판 위에 박막 형태로 증착된 Au/YBCO의 퀜치 거동을 조사하기 위하여 임의 시간의 고장전류를 인가하고 이 때 발생하는 온도를 검출하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 시험에 사용된 한류소자는 Au/YBCO/사파이어 기판으로 구성되었으며, 길이 19cm, 폭 2 cm의 stripe 형태를 갖는 초전도 박막이었다. 임계전류는 200A이며 6 주기 동안의 전압인가에 대하여 6 V/cm (상승온도 250 K 기준)의 정격전압을 보였다. 이러한 특성을 갖는 한류소자의 한류 시 온도증가를 조사하기 위하여 한류소자의 뒷면에는 은 박막을 적절한 패턴으로 증착하여 온도 센서로 사용하였으며, 이를 통하여 퀜치 거동을 파악하고자 하였다. 실험 결과, 한류 소자 양단에 250 V의 전압을 인가하고 2 ms 동안 사고 전류를 인가하였을 때, 초전도 박막의 온도는 154 K까지 증가하였으며 다시 초전도성을 회복하기까지의 시간은 약 420 ms가 소요됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The oil crises in 1973 and 1979 caused considerable effort to decrease the fuel consumption. As a result, the main engine had been changed through the shape(from loop scavenging air system to uniflow scavenging air system), higher compression ratio, low speed and long stroke. It is difficult to make a various engine satisfied with all owner's request. So manufacturer could find a way that can change the rating through large range from the engine already manufactured. These ways are tried through large range to change rpm to 72% and engine's output to 48% of MCR with keeping the normal engine's shape almost. The important element considered in the process of derated output of the main engine is to recover the beginning overcapitalization as soon as possible through low SFOC. In this paper, it is compared and considered between rating and derating engine with several data about modifying rating which have been done by engine manufacturer so far. And the selection process of derating engine is studied also.

  • 계통연계형 태양광 시스템을 구성하고 있는 전력변환장치인 PCS(power conditioning system)는 일반적으로 그 내부에 입력전력 평활용 Capacitor, DC-DC Converter, DC link Capacitor, DC-AC Inverter 및 L-C Filter 등으로 구성된다. 이러한 태양광 시스템의 구성은 주로 태양광 어레이와 PCS의 DC-DC Converter 및 DC-AC Inverter의 수와 연결 방법에 따라 여러 가지로 구성할 수가 있다. 본 논문에서 제안할 시스템의 구성은 하나의 태양광 어레이를 다수의 계통연계형 태양광 PCS가 공유하는 형태인데, 이러한 시스템의 주요 장점은 첫째, 일사량에 따라 각각의 PCS가 모두 정격에서 운전하도록 하여 변환효율을 개선할 수 있다는 점과 둘째, 태양광 어레이의 용량 확장에 따른 PCS 장치의 용이한 확장성 그리고 셋째, 연결되어 있는 다수의 PCS 중 하나의 태양광 PCS가 고장으로 인하여 유지 및 보수가 필요할 때에도 그 외의 다른 정상적인 태양광 PCS는 지속적인 발전이 가능한 장점 등을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 태양광 어레이의 출력을 공유하는 병렬운전용 태양광 PCS의 구성에 대하여 연구하고, 그 병렬운전기법을 제시하여 이에 대한 타당성을 시뮬레이션으로 검증하고자 한다.

  • In this investigation, the aerodynamic performance evaluation of a 1MW class blade has been performed with the purpose of the verification of target output and its clear understanding of flow field using CFD commercial code, ANSYS FLUENT. Before making progress of CFD analysis the HERACLES V2.0 software based on blade element momentum theory was applied for confirmation of quick and approximate performance in the preliminary stage. The blade was designed to produce the target output of a 1MW class at a rated wind speed of 12m/s, which consists of five different airfoils such as FFA W-301, DU91-W250, DU93-W-210, NACA 63418 and NACA 63415 from hub to tip. The mechanical power by CFD is approximately 1.195MW, which is converted into the electrical power of 1.075MW if the system loss is considered to be 0.877.
