Experimental Study on the Behavior of Building Hardware with Joint Details (접합 방법에 따른 하지철물 구조물의 거동에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In recent years, non-welded building hardware has been installed by bolt assembly is used. The non-welded building hardware method can reduce accidents caused by welding, and can be constructed by bolt assembly, which can reduce labor costs and shorten the construction period. However, there is a need for a method to compensate for the occurrence of buckling at the time of construction. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the behavior of joints between steel pipe and fastener and to evaluate the behavior of joints of non-welded and welded hardware frame. As a result, it was found that the foundation steel structure without welded joints was deformed to a rotation angle of member much larger than the allowable interlayer displacement angle 0.01 to 0.02 required according to the seismic load rating in the seismic load resistance system.

Vibration Fatigue Analysis of Spot Welded Component considering Change of Stiffness due to Fatigue Damage (피로손상의 누적에 따른 강성변화를 고려한 점용접부의 진동피로해석)

  • The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the fatigue life to apply the vibration fatigue analysis considering the stiffness change of the spot welding due to fatigue damage accumulation. For this, the mechanical and fatigue properties of base and spot welded standard specimens were obtained through the tensile and constant amplitude fatigue test. The transfer function of the spot-welded structure was obtained from the frequency response analysis and fatigue analyisis was performed under the condition of PSD=0.11. A vibration fatigue analysis that considered changes in the frequency response due to the fatigue damage that is, failure of some wleding point was conducted on spot-welded structure. The fatigue life of the spot-welded structure was determined by combining the transfer function, the S-N curve of the tensile-shear spot-welded joint and the input PSD.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 thyristor 정류기 구조의 대전력 150KVA급의 mash seam 용접기에 용접 센터링등 여러 가지 용접 효율 향상을 위한 부가 장치를 포함한 용접장치 개발을 통한 용접품질 분석결과를 보이고 있다. 일반적으로 제철소에 사용되는 수10KVA급의 용접기들은 그동안 전량 수입에 의존하던 것을 공동연구를 통해서 국산화에 성공하였다. 본 시스템은 기존의 타사제품의 기능을 포함하여 용접 센터링 장치, 용접 전후단 의 크램핑기능, 선후행 코일의 선단부를 절단하는 shear ing 기능, 용접 휠높이 자동조절기능을 포함하였으며, 자체 설계된 대전력용 변압기, 대전력 절환용 thyristor 제어들을 포함한 용접기로써 기존의 타사제품에 비하여 기능적, 성능적으로 향상된 형태로써 용접 성능 검사에서도 양호한 결과 얻었다. 본 논문에서는 mash seam 용접기의 기본적인 기능설명과 개된 용접기를 기능별로 설명하고, 실용접 결과를 소개하여 향후 계획을 제시한다

  • 최근 소형선박의 선체 재료로써 기존의 FRP선이 갖는 환경문제와 자원의 재활용 및 선체중량경감의 측면에서 소형선박을 중심으로 알루미늄선으로의 전환이 이루어져 왔지만, 알루미늄에 대한 용접 기능공 및 기술이 부족하여 건조 공정에 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되어 중소조선소에선 알루미늄선체 건조에 많은 애로 점을 가지고 있다. 이에, 본 연구를 통해 알루미늄선체의 구조부재 제작시 용접에 의한 공정을 압출성형 기법으로 대체하고 알루미늄선체의 용접에 소요되는 높은 인건비와 시간을 절약하여 원가 절감의 효과를 도모하며 또한 알루미늄선박 일체형 구조부재의 경량화 기법과 한국선급의 알루미늄선체 강도 기준을 적용하여 표준화된 구조부재의 압출성형 기법을 정립하고자 한다.

Solid State Joining of Iron and Steels (철강재료의 고상접합기술)

  • 저탄소강은 일반적으로 용접성이 우수하지만 완전한 접합 강도와 용접부에서의 결함을 방지하기 위해서는 많은 주위가 필요하다. 용접부의 기계적 성질은 그 미세구조에 따라 좌우되는데, 이 구조는 모재의 화학조성, 용접 조건 그리고 후열처리에 의하여 결정이 된다. 이와 같이 용융용 접에 의한 저탄소강의 접합부는 저탄소함량으로 응고 균열에 대한 저항이 높다. 그러나 탄소의 함량이 증가하므로서 용접성은 저하하여, 0.3% 이상에서 용접부는 과열, 과냉, 저온 균열과 porosity에 취약하게 된다. 구조용강애 있어서는 용접성에 대한 일반적인 기준이 없으므로 이 러한 재료는 모재와 용접부의 기계적 성질, 고온 및 저온 균열성, 열간 및 냉각가공성등을 고려 하게 된다. 그러나 가장 중요한 것은 용접부의 신뢰도이다. 탄소강과 저합금강에 있어서 용접은 높은 강도를 얻을 수 있어야 하며 접합부에서 모재의 원래의 특성을 유지하여야 하고 결함이 없어야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 결함은 모재의 융접 이하에서 접합을 실시하는 고상접합으로 충 분히 억제할 수가 있다. 고상접합에서는 근본적인 미세조직의 결정화도 피할 수 있으며 고온균 일과 같은 결함의 위험도 배제할 수 있다. 고상접합은 용융용접과는 달리 모재를 용융시키지 않고 고체상태에서 접합을 하는데, 신금속 및 신소재의 개발과 첨단산업의 발달로 고상접합 기 술이 크게 각광을 받고 발전하게 되었다. 이와 같은 접합기술의 발전으로 기존의 용접으로는 접합이 불가한 소재, 용접기술의 적용이 곤란한 복잡한 형상, 복합기능 소재, 고품질 및 고정밀 성이 요구되는 소재등이 접합이 가능하게 되었다. 이러한 접합기술로는 brazing, 확산접합, 마찰 용접 등이 주로 많이 이용되고 있다. Brazing은 융점이 낮은 filler metal이 모재의 사이에서 용 융상태로 유입되어 냉각되면서 접합되는 방식이고 확산접합은 모재의 접합계면에서 원자의 상호 확산으로 접합을 하게 된다. 한편 마찰용접은 계면에서 회전에 의한 마찰열고 접합하는 방식 이다. 본 기술해설에서는 이러한 고상접합 기술을 이용한 철강재료의 접합에 대하여 고찰하도록 하겠다.

  • Recently, many studies for developing the underwater welding techniques have been carried out in the advanced countries as a manufacturing process and a repairing method according as a great deal of interest in development for various marine industrial fields has been gradually increased. But no study on such underwater welding is available at present in our country. In this study, underwater welding was carried out for welding of domestic structural steel plates (SM41A) of 10 mm thickness, using six types of domestic coated arc welding electrodes on a self-made gravity type underwater welding device, resulting in investigation for the underwater weldability of the domestic structural steel plates as well as for the underwater welding properties and practicability of the domestic welding electrodes.

  • Recently, Seismic performance of the building built in the past is required to review, because the code for seismic design have been reinforced. In 2009, if the revised latest criteria of seismic design is applied, the majority the steel structure of the low-rise concentrically braced system is short of the seismic performance. Also, when the steel braces are subject to compressive load, which causes unstable behavior of the structure. In order to verify the compressive behavior of the reinforced braces, structural performance test was conducted with variables of slenderness ratio and the amount of reinforcement. Therefore, this study suggests restraining the bending buckling of slender H-shaped braces to resist compressive force. Tensile Test for Lap Welded Joints of Rebars(SD400) (일반철근(SD400) 용접 겹침이음 인장실험)

  • In reinforced concrete structures, the joints of ordinary rebars are usually lap joints, which are bound by binding wires with rebars, and mechanical joints by couplers. In domestic design standards (concrete design code), welded lap joints are restricted for ordinary rebars, but overseas standards allow welded lap joints of ordinary rebars through pre-heating. This study investigated the domestic and international standards/criteria and evaluated the fracture strength by performing the tensile test on the lap welded joint of SD400 grade rebars, which is used the most in the construction sites. The weld length of the specimen for weld lap joints is based on the minimum weld length (8d) given in the KS standard (KS B ISO 17660-1). According to AWS D1.4, the preheating temperature was set to $150^{\circ}C$ for D19 and below, and $260^{\circ}C$ for D22 and above. In the test results, the tensile strength of rebars with welded lap joints exceeded the required strength (125% of the yield strength) according to the concrete design code. To analyze the effect of preheating, the tensile strength of the welded rebars after preheating was not significantly different from that of the welded rebars without preheating. The carbon equivalent content (Ceq) of the rebars used in the test was 0.45% or less. Under AWS D1.4, no preheating is required if the carbon equivalent is less than 0.45%. All specimens with a welded lap length of 8d failed by a bar fracture. The effect of preheating was confirmed to be insignificant due to the low carbon equivalent of the rebar.

Test on the Structural Performance of the TOX Deck plate - Evaluation of Structural Safety during Construction Stage - (무용접 압접 데크플레이트의 구조성능에 관한 실험 - 시공단계에서의 구조안전성 평가 -)

  • Owing to the decreased work term and the convenience of construction work in Korea, the steel deck plate system has been widely used in the construction field. Most of all, due to its good stiffness and economic consideration, the steel-wire-integrated deck plate system (or truss deck plate system) has become very popular in recent years. But although it has many advantages, the truss deck plate system has a critical defect: it gets rusty in the welding joints between the lattice steel wire and the deck plate, resulting in the cracking of such welding joints and water leakage. To address these problems, a new type of truss deck plate system, which need not be welded and does not rust, was proposed herein: the TOX deck plate system. In this study, tests were conducted on 15 specimens to evaluate the structural safety of the proposed deck plate system during the construction stage. The test parameters were as follows: the depth of the slab the length of the span the diameters of the top, bottom, and lattice steel wire and the material properties of the zinc-coated steel sheets. The test results show that the TOX deck plate system can guarantee structural safety owing to its deflection and strength.

Welding Bead Detection Inspection Using the Brightness Value of Vertical and Horizontal Direction (수직 및 수평 방향의 밝깃값을 이용한 용접 비드 검출 검사)

  • Shear Reinforcement of Dual Anchorage(SRD) is used to reinforce the safety of reinforced concrete structures at construction sites. Welding is used to make shear reinforcement, and welding plays an important role in determining productivity and competitiveness of products. Therefore, a weld bead detection inspection is required. In this paper, we suggest an algorithm for inspecting welding beads using image data of welding beads. First, the proposed algorithm calculates a brightness value in a vertical direction in an image, and then divides a welding bead in a vertical direction by finding a position corresponding to a 50% height point of the brightness value distribution in the image. The welding bead area is also divided in the same way for the horizontal direction, and then the segmentation image is analyzed if there is a welding bead. The proposed algorithm reduced the amount of computation by performing analysis after specifying the region of interest. In addition, accuracy could be improved by using all brightness values in the vertical and horizontal directions using the difference of brightness between the base metal and the welding bead region in the SRD image. The experiment compared the analysis results using five algorithms, such as K-mean and K-neighborhood, as a method to detect if there is a welding bead, and the experimental result proved that the proposed algorithm was the most accurate.
