In general, routing algorithms that were applied to ad-hoc networks are not suitable for the environment with many nodes over several thousands. To solve this problem, hierarchical management to these nodes and clustering-based protocols for the stable maintenance of topology are used. In this paper, we propose the clustering-based modified LEACH protocol that can applied to an environment which moves around metal containers within communication nodes. In proposed protocol, we implemented a module for detecting the movement of nodes on the clustering-based LEACH protocol and improved the defect of LEACH in an environment with movable nodes. And we showed the possibility of the effective communication by adjusting the configuration method of multi-hop. We also compared the proposed protocol with LEACH in four points of view, which are a gradual network composition time, a reconfiguration time of a topology, a success ratio of communication on an containers environment, and routing overheads. And to conclude, we verified that the proposed protocol is better than original LEACH protocol in the metal containers environment within communication of nodes.

Since the Network based attack Is extensive in the real state of damage, It is very important to detect intrusion quickly at the beginning. But the intrusion detection using supervised learning needs either the preprocessing enormous data or the manager's analysis. Also it has two difficulties to detect abnormal traffic that the manager's analysis might be incorrect and would miss the real time detection. In this paper, we propose a traffic attributes correlation analysis mechanism based on self-organizing maps(SOM) for the real-time intrusion detection. The proposed mechanism has three steps. First, with unsupervised learning build a map cluster composed of similar traffic. Second, label each map cluster to divide the map into normal traffic and abnormal traffic. In this step there is a rule which is created through the correlation analysis with SOM. At last, the mechanism would the process real-time detecting and updating gradually. During a lot of experiments the proposed mechanism has good performance in real-time intrusion to combine of unsupervised learning and supervised learning than that of supervised learning.

In this study, we introduce a design of Fuzzy RBFNNs-based digit recognition system using the incremental-PCA in order to recognize the handwritten digits. The Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a widely-adopted dimensional reduction algorithm, but it needs high computing overhead for feature extraction in case of using high dimensional images or a large amount of training data. To alleviate such problem, the incremental-PCA is proposed for the computationally efficient processing as well as the incremental learning of high dimensional data in the feature extraction stage. The architecture of Fuzzy Radial Basis Function Neural Networks (RBFNN) consists of three functional modules such as condition, conclusion, and inference part. In the condition part, the input space is partitioned with the use of fuzzy clustering realized by means of the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) algorithm. Also, it is used instead of gaussian function to consider the characteristic of input data. In the conclusion part, connection weights are used as the extended diverse types in polynomial expression such as constant, linear, quadratic and modified quadratic. Experimental results conducted on the benchmarking MNIST handwritten digit database demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed digit recognition system when compared with other studies.
This paper presents a method to implicitly resolve ambiguities using dynamic incremental clustering in Korean-to-English and Japanese-to-English cross-language information retrieval (CLIR). The main objective of this paper shows that document clusters can effectively resolve the ambiguities tremendously increased in translated queries as well as take into account the context of all the terms in a document. In the framework we propose, a query in Korean/Japanese is first translated into English by looking up bilingual dictionaries, then documents are retrieved for the translated query terms based on the vector space retrieval model or the probabilistic retrieval model. For the top-ranked retrieved documents, query-oriented document clusters are incrementally created and the weight of each retrieved document is re-calculated by using the clusters. In the experiment based on TREC test collection, our method achieved 39.41% and 36.79% improvement for translated queries without ambiguity resolution in Korean-to-English CLIR, and 17.89% and 30.46% improvements in Japanese-to-English CLIR, on the vector space retrieval and on the probabilistic retrieval, respectively. Our method achieved 12.30% improvements for all translation queries, compared with blind feedback in Korean-to-English CLIR. These results indicate that cluster analysis help to resolve ambiguity.

A number of research issues such as knowledge acquisition, inferencing techniques, and knowledge refinement methodologies have been involved in the development of expert systems. Since each issue is considered very com- plicated, there has been little effort to take all the issues into account collectively at once. However, knowledge acquisition and inferencing are closely reated because the knowledge is extracted by human experts from the inferencing process for solving a specific task or problem. Knowledge refinement is also accomplished by hand-ling problems caused during the inferencing process of the system due to incompleteness and inconsistency of the knowledge base. From this perspecitive, we present a method by which software platform is established in which those issues are integrated in the development of expert systems, especially in the domain where the domain models and concepts are hard to be constructed because of inherent fuzziness of the domain. We apply a machine learning technique, technique, conceptual clustering,to build a knowledge base and rual models by which an efficient inferencing, incermental knp\owledge acquisition and refinment are possible.

In this paper, we propose an efficient global placement algorithm which is an enhanced version of Hybrid Placer$^{[25]}$, a standard cell placement tool, which uses a middle-down approach. Combining techniques used in the well-known partitioner hMETIS and the RBLS(Relaxation Based Local Search) in Hybrid Placer improves the quality of global placements. Partitioning techniques of hMETIS is applied in a top-down manner and RBLS is used in each level of the top-down hierarchy to improve the global placement. The proposed new approach resolves the problem that Hybrid Placer seriously depends on initial placements and it speeds up without deteriorating the placement quality. Experimental results prove that solutions generated by the proposed method on the MCNC benchmarks are comparable to those by FengShui which is a well known placement tool. Compared to the results of the original Hybrid Placer, new method is 5 times faster on average and shows improvement on bigger circuits.
In this paper, the processing speed of Grabcut algorithm in order to efficiently improve the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) for processing the data from the method. Grabcut algorithm has excellent performance object detection algorithm. Grabcut existing algorithms to split the foreground area and the background area, and then background and foreground K-cluster is assigned a cluster. And assigned to gradually improve the results, until the process is repeated. But Drawback of Grabcut algorithm is the time consumption caused by the repetition of clustering. Thus GPGPU (General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Unit) using the repeated operations in parallel by processing Grabcut algorithm to effectively improve the processing speed of the method. We proposed method of execution time of the algorithm reduced the average of about 95.58%.
Video data comes in the form of the unstructured and the complex structure. As the importance of efficient management and retrieval for video data increases, studies on the video parsing based on the visual features contained in the video contents are researched to reconstruct video data as the meaningful structure. The early studies on video parsing are focused on splitting video data into shots, but detecting the shot boundary defined with the physical boundary does not cosider the semantic association of video data. Recently, studies on structuralizing video shots having the semantic association to the video scene defined with the semantic boundary by utilizing clustering methods are actively progressed. Previous studies on detecting the video scene try to detect video scenes by utilizing clustering algorithms based on the similarity measure between video shots mainly depended on color features. However, the correct identification of a video shot or scene and the detection of the gradual transitions such as dissolve, fade and wipe are difficult because color features of video data contain a noise and are abruptly changed due to the intervention of an unexpected object. In this paper, to solve these problems, we propose the Scene Detector by using Color histogram, corner Edge and Object color histogram (SDCEO) that clusters similar shots organizing same event based on visual features including the color histogram, the corner edge and the object color histogram to detect video scenes. The SDCEO is worthy of notice in a sense that it uses the edge feature with the color feature, and as a result, it effectively detects the gradual transitions as well as the abrupt transitions. The SDCEO consists of the Shot Bound Identifier and the Video Scene Detector. The Shot Bound Identifier is comprised of the Color Histogram Analysis step and the Corner Edge Analysis step. In the Color Histogram Analysis step, SDCEO uses the color histogram feature to organizing shot boundaries. The color histogram, recording the percentage of each quantized color among all pixels in a frame, are chosen for their good performance, as also reported in other work of content-based image and video analysis. To organize shot boundaries, SDCEO joins associated sequential frames into shot boundaries by measuring the similarity of the color histogram between frames. In the Corner Edge Analysis step, SDCEO identifies the final shot boundaries by using the corner edge feature. SDCEO detect associated shot boundaries comparing the corner edge feature between the last frame of previous shot boundary and the first frame of next shot boundary. In the Key-frame Extraction step, SDCEO compares each frame with all frames and measures the similarity by using histogram euclidean distance, and then select the frame the most similar with all frames contained in same shot boundary as the key-frame. Video Scene Detector clusters associated shots organizing same event by utilizing the hierarchical agglomerative clustering method based on the visual features including the color histogram and the object color histogram. After detecting video scenes, SDCEO organizes final video scene by repetitive clustering until the simiarity distance between shot boundaries less than the threshold h. In this paper, we construct the prototype of SDCEO and experiments are carried out with the baseline data that are manually constructed, and the experimental results that the precision of shot boundary detection is 93.3% and the precision of video scene detection is 83.3% are satisfactory.
In this paper, we carried out the study on speech recognition using the KM-Net topology design algorithm based on decision tree state-clustering to improve the performance of acoustic models in speech recognition. The Korean has many allophonic and grammatical rules compared to other languages, so we investigate the allophonic variations, which defined the Korean phonetics, and construct the phoneme question set for phonetic decision tree. The basic idea of the HM-Net topology design algorithm is that it has the basic structure of SSS (Successive State Splitting) algorithm and split again the states of the context-dependent acoustic models pre-constructed. That is, it have generated. the phonetic decision tree using the phoneme question sets each the state of models, and have iteratively trained the state sequence of the context-dependent acoustic models using the PDT-SSS (Phonetic Decision Tree-based SSS) algorithm. To verify the effectiveness of the above algorithm we carried out the speech recognition experiments for 452 words of center for Korean language Engineering (KLE452) and 200 sentences of air flight reservation task (YNU200). Experimental results show that the recognition accuracy has progressively improved according to the number of states variations after perform the splitting of states in the phoneme, word and continuous speech recognition experiments respectively. Through the experiments, we have got the average 71.5%, 99.2% of the phoneme, word recognition accuracy when the state number is 2,000, respectively and the average 91.6% of the continuous speech recognition accuracy when the state number is 800. Also we haute carried out the word recognition experiments using the HTK (HMM Too1kit) which is performed the state tying, compared to share the parameters of the HM-Net topology design algorithm. In word recognition experiments, the HM-Net topology design algorithm has an average of 4.0% higher recognition accuracy than the context-dependent acoustic models generated by the HTK implying the effectiveness of it.
