티타늄합금 황삭가공에서 냉각방법에 따른 절삭공구 마모특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Cutting Tool Wear by Cooling Method in Rough Machining of Titanium Alloy)

  • Titanium used in industry has been widely applied for aerospace important parts and automobile important parts, etc. because the titanium is higher in strength compared to the steel and light in weight compared to the steel. This study is to investigate the effect of cutting tool cooling method and cutting time on the spindle speed and feed rate of vertical machining center as a parameter to find the rough cutting time in the medium speed cutting machining of the titanium alloy. It is found that the cutting machining heat are increased as the feed rate, cutting time and spindle speed are raised.

  • This paper presents the cutting simulation system for prediction and regulation of cutting force in CNC machining. The cutting simulation system includes geometric model, cutting force model, and off-line fred rate scheduling model. ME Z-map(Moving Edge node Z-map) is constructed for cutting configuration calculation. The cutting force models using cutting-condition-independent coefficients are developed for flat-end milling and ball-end milling. The off-line feed rate scheduling model is derived from the developed cutting force model. The scheduled feed rates are automatically added to a given set of NC code, which regulates the maximum resultant cutting force to the reference force preset by an operator. The cutting simulation system can be used as an effective tool for improvement of productivity in CNC machining.

  • The main applications of CFRP are sports, aerospace and general industrial uses including automobiles. As this application fields expands the opportunity of machining, but CFRP is difficult to cut because of delamination of the composites and the short tool life. In this paper, the machinability of multidirectional CFRP by means of ultrasonic vibration cutting, which has been verified experimentally investigated.The experimentally to be highly effective in view of cutting force and surface quality.

유한유쇼법을 이용한 미소절삭기구의 절삭인자 규명에 관한 연구 (A study on the effect of cutting parameters of micro metal cutting mechanism using finite element method)

  • The finite element method is applied to analyze the mechanism of metal cutting, especially micro metal cutting. This paper introduces some effects, such as constitutive deformation laws of workpiece material, friction of tool-chip contact interfaces, tool rake angle and also simulate the cutting process, chip formation and geometry, tool-chip contact, reaction force of tool. Under the usual plane strain assumption, quasi-static analysis were performed with variation of tool-chip interface friction coefficients and tool rake angles. In this analysis, cutting speed, cutting depth set to 8m/sec, 0.02mm, respectively. Some cutting parameters are affected to cutting force, plastic deformation of chip, shear plane angle, chip thickness and tool-chip contact length and reaction forces on tool. Several aspects of the metal cutting process predicted by the finite element analysis provide information about tool shape design and optimal cutting conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 단순절삭의 특성과 관련된 신호처리 방법을 검토하고, 선삭의 경우와 달리 제기되는 문제점중의 하나인 센서의 부착위치를 예비실험을 통하여 결정 하며, 공구마멸의 진전에 따른 AE신호의 특성변화를 조사하여 공구마멸 자동감지의 기 초가 되는 공구마멸의 점진적 증가에 따른 AE신호의 특성변화를 관찰하고자 한다. 특히 절삭조건 즉 이송량, 절석깊이, 절삭속도, 그리고 정착된 인서트의 수가 AE신호 의 특성에 미치는 영향을 각각 조사하여 절삭조건의 변화에 따른 AE신호의 변화경향을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • FMS(Flesible Manufacturing System), FMX(Flexible Manufacturing Cell)와 같은 유연 생산시스템 뿐만 아니고 공장자동화(FA)의 최하위 단위인 절삭가공 공작기계에 대한 무인화의 실현은 머지않은 장래에 완성될 IMS(Intelligent Manufacturing System)시스템이 구축에 있어서 최대의 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 전통적인 생산시스템에서는 경험을 가진 작업자에 의해 절삭공정이 감시되어지며, 만약 이상이 발생했을 때에는 그 상태에 따른 적절한 조치를 즉시 취할 수 있었다. 그러나 급속도로 연구가 진행되는 무인생산 시스템에서는 이러한 작업자의 역할이 컴퓨터에 의한 자동적인 감시 및 제어 시스템으로 대체되어야 한다. 이러한감시활동 중에서도 공구마모 및 파단의 검출은 효율적인 공구교환정책, 가공물의 품위유지 및 공구와 공작기계의 보호를 위해서 가장 중요한 부분으로 취급되고 있다.

  • 한외여과분리의 중요한 응용분야의 하나인 oil/water 에멀젼의 분리에 대하여 연구하였다. Oil/water 에멀젼의 한외여과분리 원리를 제안하고, 상용되고 있는 하나의 절삭유를 대상으로 분리가능성을 조사하였다. 사용된 한외여과분리 모듈은 상업적으로 이용되고 있는 IRIS 3042 분리막이 장착된 평판형이었다. 한외여과 실험에서 공급압력, 공급유량, 공급에멀젼의 oil농도등을 변화시키면서 투과액의 oil농도, 투과속도등을 측정하여 분리성능을 조사하였다.

고능률 가공을 위한 절삭 동력 기반의 이송 속도 최적화 (Cutting Power Based Feedrate Optimization for High-Efficient Machining)

  • Feedrate is one of the factors that have the significant effects on the productivity, qualify and tool life in the cutting mechanism as well as cutting velocity, depth of cut and width of cut. In this study, in order to realize the high-efficient machining, a new feedrate optimization method is proposed based on the concept that the optimum feedrate can be derived from the allowable cutting power since the cutting power can be predicted from the cutting parameters as feedrate, depth of cut, width of cut, chip thickness, engagement angle, rake angle, specific cutting force and so on. Tool paths are extracted from the original NC program via the reverse post-processing process and converted into the infinitesimal tool paths via the interpolation process. And the novel NC program is reconstructed by optimizing the feedrate of infinitesimal tool paths. Especially, the fast feedrate optimization is realized by using the Boolean operation based on the Goldfeather CSG rendering algorithm, and the simulation results reveal the availability of the proposed optimization method dramatically reducing the cutting time and/or the optimization time. As a result, the proposed optimization method will go far toward improving the productivity and qualify.

엔드밀 가공시 가공속도에 따른 가공변질층 특성 연구 (A Study on Damaged Layer Characteristics according to Cutting Speed in End-milling)

  • As the technique of high-speed end-milling is widely adopted to in machining field. The investigation for microscopic precision of workpiece is necessary for machinability evolution. In this study, cutting force, cutting temperature and microhardness were investigated to evaluate damaged layer in conventional machining and high-speed machining. Damaged layer was measured using optical microscope. The thickness of damaged layer depends on cutting process parameters, specially feed per tooth and radial depth. It is obtained that the characteristics of damaged layer is high-speed machining better than conventional machining.

  • CNC lathe machining has been widely used for parts machining of vehicles, aircraft, ships, electronics, etc. because cost savings for shortening processing time and increasing productivity are great. In this study, the purpose is to investigate the effect of cooling methods such as oil mist, water-soluble cutting oils on the workpiece surface roughness with the cutting speed, cutting depth, tool nose radius and feed rate of CNC lathe machine as a parameter in the cutting process of the aluminum alloy 2024 which is used a lot recently on aircraft parts. It is found that oil mist is coolant and water-soluble cooled by cutting the experimental conditions, cutting speed and cutting depth without effecting the surface roughness value was constant.
