엔드밀 형상에 따른 절삭가공 분석과 DB 구축 및 형상설계 S/W 개발에 관한 연구

  • 엔드밀은 산업현장에서 정밀 금형과 다이 제조 시 넓게 사용되는 절삭 공구이며 공작기계의 향상에 따라 많은 발전을 거듭해 왔다 공작기계의 고속화에 따라 공작기계의 측면에서는 강성 증가, 열변형의 억제와 동적 안정성의 개선 및 응답성 개선을 통하여 정밀도를 향상시키고 이송속도와 절삭속도의 증가를 통해 생산성을 증대시키고 있으며 공구의 측면에서는 새로운 재종 및 코팅기법의 개발을 통해 공구수명의 향상을 달성하고 있다. 또한 공구형상의 최적화를 통해 동적 안정성을 확보하고 가공 정밀도를 개선하고자 하는 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다.(중략)

Study on a Wire Saw Rock Cutting Model for Tunnel Excavation and Cutting Performance Improvement (터널굴착용 와이어쏘 암반절삭 모델 구축 및 절삭성능 향상 연구)

  • In tunnel excavation using blast, the wire saw rock cutting method generates a discontinuity perimeter around the center cut, and thus prevents blast vibration propagation to reduce vibration and noise. Therefore, the method is expected to be easy to use and economical compared with other methods. In this paper, the cutting mechanism of wire saw in tunnel excavation is investigated. A model describing the changes in cutting depth and wire saw shape inside a rock during cutting is established and validated for this purpose. Through a simulation using the model, the important characteristics of wire saw cut are investigated, and the influences of cutting conditions, such as wire saw tension, wire saw speed, feed speed, depth, and diameter of boring, on cutting performance are also examined. A method to improve the cutting performance is proposed based on the results.

The Machinability of 2011 P/M Al Alloys Extruded Rapidly solidified by Rotating Disc Atomization (원심 분부법으로 제조된 P/M 2011 Al 합금 압출재의 절삭성)

  • The machinability properties of P/M 2011 AI alloys extruded rapidly solidified by rotating disc atomization were investigated in this study. The Pb-Bi particles were very uniformly and finely dispersed in the P/M 2011 AI alloys extruded rapidly solidified. According to the increase of cutting speed, the short discontinuous chips were produceed and continuous chips were formed from the lower feed values of O.lmm/rev. The surface roughness is depend on the feed values, not cutting depth and cutting speed. The short discontinuous chips were formed due to dispersed $AI_20_3$ particles and Pb- Bi inclusion.

  • This paper presents an accurate cutting simulation and feedrate scheduling system for CNC machining. This system is composed of a cutting simulation part and a feedrate scheduling part. The cutting simulation part computes the geometric informations and calculates the cutting forces in CNC machining. The cutting force model using cutting-condition-independent coefficients was introduced for flat end milling and ball end milling. The feedrate scheduling part divides original blocks of NC code into smaller ones with optimized feedrates to adjust the peak value of cutting forces to reference forces. Some machining examples show that the developed system can control the cutting force at desired levels.

  • Recently, in order to achieve high flexibilty, monitoring and control strategies of a new type have been developed. This paper investigates the fesability of using scoustic emission signal analysis for the detection of built-up edge during machining. Results for maching SM45C steel show that the presence of a built-up edge can significantil affect the generation of acoustic emission in metal cutting. When the cutting speed comes to the conditions conducive to development of built-up edge, it is shown that the slope of curve-fitted AErms signal undergoes a change. The fesability of utilizing AErms in built-up edge sensing is sugested.

  • This paper presents an optimization cutting speed(OCS) program developed to improve the machining precision and tool life in high speed machining using ball end milling. This program optimized the cutting speed that is changing at any time in free surface machining of an automobile part like a connecting load die. The technique of optimization cutting speed makes the CAD/CAM-generated NC code go through a reverse post process, conducts cutting simulation, and obtain the effective tool diameter of the ball end milling. Then it changes the spindle revolution to within the range of critical cutting speed fit for the material of the workpieces depending upon the effective tool diameter. In this study, the machining precision and tool life were compared for the two connecting load dies processed using the general cutting method and the proposed optimization cutting speed technique, respectively.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 유연 볼 엔드밀의 절삭력 모델을 바탕으로 자유 곡면의 정삭 가공에서 발생할 수 있는 과대 또는 과소 절삭을 방지하면서 그 가공의 효율성을 높이기 위한 볼 엔드밀의 이송 속도 결정법을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저, 자유 곡면의 가공에서 발생될 수 있는 공구의 처짐에 따른 가공오차에 대하여 볼 엔드밀 공구의 처 짐벡터와 공작물의 공구 접촉점에서의 법선벡터로 표현되는 가공오차(machining error ) 예측 모델식을 유도하였다. 본 가공오차 예측 모델식은 다시 절삭날당 가지는 이 송량의 함수로 전개되어 그 곡면의 주어진 가공 공차(machining tolerance)를 만족시 키는 이송속도를 결정하게 된다.

  • Recently, in order to achieve high flexibility of manufacture, monitoring and control strategies of a new type have been developed. Since the generation of built-up edge on the cutting tool damages the surface finish of the workpiece, the monitoring system of built-up edge is an important process monitoring. In this study, the analyzing methods of cutting force signal to detect the built-up edge during cutting process are described. The cutting force signals are analyzed using the mean, standard deviation and mean to standard deviation of this cutting signals. We can obtain the guide to detect the built-up edge during turning process.

  • Adaptive control constraint (ACC) is applied to a turning process to keep the cutting force constant while the cutting conditions vary. In this system, a given reference force is compared with the measured cutting force and difference is input to the controller to adjust the feed. Since it is found that the effective ACC loop gain depends on both depth-of-cut and spindle speed and thereby influence the system stability, a simple computer algorithm is built in the controller to maintain the stability of the whole system by on-line estimation of the process parameters during cutting.

  • 미니컴퓨터와 디짓틸 상관법을 이용하녀 이상적인 아나로그 씨스템의 주파수 응답을 구하고 그 결과를 이론치와 비교하여 디짓탈 데이타 처리방법의 타당성을 검증하였다. 또한 이 방법을 실제로 복잡한 절삭중의 공작기계의 주파수응답 ㅕㄹ정에 적용하여 이때 야기되는 문제점을 검토하고 그 해결방안을 제시하였다. 또한 제 절삭 조건하에서 얻어진 주파수응답 함수로부터 공작기계의 아버 및 시편의 길이, 절삭 속도, 절삭깊이, 피이드율에 따른 공작기계 구조동력학의 변화를 규명하였다.
