Electrical Properties of YSZ Electrolyte Film Prepared by Electron Beam PVD (EB-PVD법에 의해 제조된 YSZ 전해질의 전기적 특성)

  • Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition (EB-PVD) is a typical technology for thermal barrier coating with Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) on aero gas turbine engine. In this study EB-PVD method was used to fabricate dense YSZ film on NiO-YSZ as a electrolyte of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC). Dense YSZ films of -10 $\mu$m thickness showed nano surface structure depending on deposition temperature. Electrical conductivities of YSZ film and electric power density of the single cell were evaluated after screen- printing $LaSrCoO_3$ as a cathode.

  • 최근 산업의 발달과 함께 제품의 고정도화,다양화,생산성 향상등의 요구에 의해 연삭가공에 있어서도 고능률.고정도가공이 주목되고 있다. 특히 반도체산업,광산업 등에 넓게 응용되고 있는 광학소자 가공에서는 가공정도와 가공능률이 동시에 달성되는 것에 대한 요구가 많지만, 이러한 광학소자의 가공에 있어서 기존의 연마방법은 가공정도와 가공능률에 한계가 있었다. 그런데 연삭가공에서 고능률,고정도가공의 한가지 방법으로 "전해 인프로세스드레싱(Electrolytic In-Process Dressing;ELID)연삭법"이 개발되어 고강도 메탈본드숫돌에 의한 초경합금,세라믹재료등의 경취성재료를 고품위 가공하고 있다. ELID연석법이란 숫돌의 다이아몬드나 cBN등의 연삭입자를 결합하고 있는 금속결합재를 전기분해에 의해 적당량 제거하여 일반적인 연삭과 같이 연삭입자를 연속적으로 돌출시켜 가공이 유지되도록 하는 연삭방법이다. 본 연구는 ELID연삭기술을 이용하여 원통연삭에서 철갈재료 및 세라믹재료의 고능률.고정도 가공특성을 살펴보았다. 원통연삭에서의 주철파이바본드숫돌 및 코발트본드숫돌에 의한 ELID연삭과 비트리파이드본드숫돌에 의한 일반연삭과의 고능률 가공특성을 비교하였다.

  • Aluminium solid electrolytic capacitor in which electroconducting polypyrrole(PPy) is used as an electrolyte is studied. Pyrrole(Py) is electrochemically synthesized using the etched and anodized aluminium foil electrode($Al_2O_3$) as an anode on which the thin layer of chemicalpolymerized PPy as a pre-coating layer is formed previously by chemical oxidative polymerization(CP). Investigating the effects of the polymerization conditions on the electrical characteristics of resulting capacitors, the capacitors which were obtained from the galvanostatic electrolysis of pyrrole containing sodium p-toluenesulfonate(TsONa) under the currents of $2.0{\sim}4.0mA/unit(6.5{\times}10mm)$, showed the most superior properties.

  • Decontamination means every method that can drop the level of the radioactivities from the materials contaminated with them to the allowable one. In this paper, one of the decontamination methods, the electro-decontamination was described with lots of experiments. Two test specimens contaminated with alpha ray and beta ray respectively were used to compare the decontamination factors between two rays and many experiments were performed in every electrolyte with SUS and Carbon steel test specimens. Sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, citric acid and oxalic acid were used as the electrolyte. Decontamination Factors (DF) could be compared and analyzed with different electrolyte, current intensities and time.

  • A study on the removal of silver(Ag) in copper electrolyte was carried out to produce high purity copper by using various method such as ion exchange resin, activated carbon adsorption, copper cementation with powder and wire, CuS precipitation. Parameters, such as reaction time, reaction temperature, addition amount etc. were investigated to determine the effective condition of silver removal. CuS precipitation and ion exchange using Lewatit TP214 was found to be effective. Especially, silver content in copper electrolyte was reduced from 10 ppm to less than 0.1 ppm by ion exchange with Lewatit TP214.

  • In order to recover Au and Pd from the leaching solution of various electronic wastes by electrowinning, the electrochemical behavior of Au and Pd in hydorchloric acidic solution was investigated by means of voltammetry. The reduction potential of Au ion was 800mV and the limiting current appeared at 470mV in electrolytic solution of gold. The reduction potential of Pd ion was 500mv and the limiting current appeared at 150mV in electrolytic solution of Palladium. However, in Au-Pd electrolytic solution, the Potentials for reduction and the limiting current of Au decreased as the content of Pd in electrolyte increased, and the potentials for the limiting current of Au and Pd closed nearest together when percentage of Pd electrolytic solution was 37v71% in Au-Pd electrolyte.

  • 마그네슘 합금은 낮은 비중, 높은 비강도, 주조성 및 절삭가공성, 치수안정성, 내흠집성이 우수한 특성을 지니고 있는 경량금속으로써 우수한 주조성과 상온강도, 연신율을 나타낸다. 최근에는 마그네슘 합금을 사용한 IT 기기의 케이스 및 자동차 내, 외장 부품 등의 제품이 다양하게 출시되어지며 금속 질감의 감성 기능까지 적용시킨 전자 기기 제품에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 마그네슘 합금의 낮은 부식 저항성은 마그네슘 합금을 적용시킨 제품에 큰 단점으로 작용되고 있으며 이를 해결하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 본 연구에서는 플라즈마 전해산화법과 실리카 졸-겔 코팅법을 이용하여 마그네슘 합금의 내부식성을 향상시킴과 동시에 금속질감의 감성 기능을 구현하고자 하였다. 플라즈마 전해산화 공정으로 형성된 산화피막층과 $SiO_2$ 코팅으로 형성된 코팅층의 표면과 단면에 대해서는 FE-SEM(Field emission Scanning Electron Microscope)과 FE-TEM(Field emission Transmission Electron Microscope)으로써 확인하였고 전기화학적 특성 분석을 통한 동전위(Potentiodynamic polarization)와 EIS(Eletrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) 그리고 Salt spray등을 분석하였다.
