The study proposed an electronic journal retrieval model to be used to improve the retrieval efficiency of e-journals. To do this, firstly, we reviewed the literature on users' information behavior and on ERM (Electronic Resource Management) systems. Secondly, we conducted an e-mail survey of 96 participants (professors and graduate students) to find out about their information behavior on how to access, use and evaluate electronic resources as well as scientific information. Thirdly, we administered case studies on two ERMSs, Ex Libris' Verde and Innovative's Millennium. The proposed model will be operated within ERM systems and it enables to the supply of both system- and user-based services by combining taxonomy-based ERM systems with tag folksonomy. The model is unique in that it includes not only the automatic tagging functions that can be performed using log files but also the tag management functions including grouping similar or related tags.

전자책이라는 새로운 정보자원이 휴대 전자기기를 통해 보급되면서 다양한 분야에서 전자책 이용이 높아지고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 국내에서는 의학분야 연구영역에 있어 전자책 이용에 대한 인식 및 이용행태는 물론 선호도에 대한 연구는 미흡한 상태이어서, 본 연구의 목적은 의과대학 학생을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 실시하여 전자책 이용에 관한 선호 비선호 요인을 찾아내는 것이다. 열구결과, 전자책 사용의 필요성 인지, 전자책 기기의 높은 휴대성, 보관의 편리성, 다양한 어플리케이션, 멀티미디어 사용가능성, 키워드 검색기능, 전자책 기능의 흥미 유발 등의 의과대학생의 전자책 선호도 요인을 찾아냈다. 본 연구의 결과 전자책이라는 정보자원을 활용하는데 있어 밝혀진 요인들의 개선방향을 제시하여 의과대학생의 학업활동에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라고 보고 있다.

Recently electronic journal articles prevail throughout researchers because of the development of internet and electronic publishing technology. It is caused by limited collection development budget, lack of physical storage space for printed journals in libraries, and the user convenience of web services. But from the view of ownership, electronic journals can be unfavorable to information users or libraries who cannot have the permanent right to access all the subscribed journals. Actually the libraries only have right to access journals for subscription periods in using electronic journals. So the users and libraries are willing to purchase printed journals in spite of high cost. As an basis for collaborative collection development and sharing preservation of Korean libraries for the foreign journals, the data analysis is carried out for the journals collection in terms of regional distribution, overlapping status, and journal subject. And the considerables are discussed for collaborative strategic collection development, which means the reduction of overlapped subscription and maximization of utilization in a national standpoint.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of information resources of the humanities scholars in Korea and suggest the strategic planning of academic library and information services to serve their needs. To collect data, a mail survey was conducted during the period of November 2007 through January 2008. Out of 799 humanities scholars sampled from 25 universities, 132 responded with the completion rate of 16%. Major findings in this study are as follows: First, the majority of the humanities scholars distribute their time equally to research and education, and conduct independent research. Second, they still largely depend on print resources, including scholarly journals, books, and manuscripts for getting information, while using some online information resource mostly in text such as electronic documents and journals. They expect that the frequency of using such print resources would not decline much, but the use of online resources could definitely increase in the next five years. Some variances in the behavior were observed among the groups of scholars according to their research experiences. It is suggested that academic libraries (1) conduct more active outreach, (2) prioritize between traditional and electronic resources, (3) plan information literacy education for traditional resources.

급격히 신장하고 있는 전파응용 서비스의 질적, 양적인 수요를 충족시키기 위하여 세계 각 국은 나름대로의 전파 관리 체계를 운영함으로써 전파자원 이용 효율의 극대화를 추구하고 있다. 이와 때를 같이하여 국내에서도 전파응용 산업의 활성화를 위하여 각종 규제의 완화 및 적극적인 연구개발 투자가 이루어지고 있다. 특히 전파자원의 국제적 이용이 확산되고 있는 시점에서 전파자원 이용의 올바른 정책방향 수립이 요구된다 하겠다. 이 글에서는 국내의 전파관리제도 현황과 미국, 일본, 영국, 독일의 주파수 관리제도, 관련조직 구성, 업무분장 등을 살펴보고 향후 우리나라의 전파관리제도의 발전방향에 대한 의견을 제시하였다.

차세대 네트워크인 MPLS 망에서 기존의 하드웨어 기반의 스위칭 방식인 ATM 스위치를 이용하여 MPLS 라우터, 즉 ATM LSR(Label Switching Router)를 구현 할 경우 ATM 스위치 상에서 MPLS 서비스와 ATM 서비스를 동시에 지원하기 위해서는 두 자원을 공유해야 하는 문제점이 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 두 가지의 자원을 동적으로 할당하기 위하여 ATM 스위치를 제어하는 GSMP를 이용하여 망 초기에는 Static 방식으로 라우팅을 되게 하고, 특정 링크상에 폭주가 발생할 때 Dynamic 요청신호를 GSMP에 전달해 링크 이용률이 가장 적은 포트를 이용함으로서 서비스의 효율을 향상 시켰다.

본 고에서는 향후 NGN 환경에서 실시간 음성 서비스 등과 같이 일정 레벨의 품질을 반드시 보장해 주어야 하는 서비스 제공을 위해서 제공중인 서비스의 QoS에 영향을주지 않는 조건으로 새로운 연결이 원하는 QoS를 만족시키면서 그 연결을 수용할 수있는지의 여부를 결정하는 자원 승인 제어에 대한 표준화 동향과 당 연구팀에서 개발중인 NCP 기반으로 실제 네트워크에서 적용하고자 하는 자원 승인 제어 시나리오에 대하여 기술하였다.

본 논문은 서비스 제어 시스템(Service Control Point : SCP), 서비스 교환 시스템(Service Switching System : SSP), 그리고 지능형 정보제공 시스템(Intelligent Peripheral : IP)을 물리적 구성 요소로 하는 차세대지능망 (Advanced Intelligent Network : AIN) 서비스중 주요 서비스인 자동콜렉트콜(Automatic Collect Call : ACC) 서비스에 대한 지능형 정보제공 시스템에서의 자원 제공시간 (점유 시간)을 분석한 것이다. 차세대 지능망 구성요소들이 연동되어 서비스되는 상황에서 지능형정보 제공시스템에서의 서비스 시나리오를 제시하였으며, 특수 자원에 대한 자원 제공 점유 시간을 분석하였다.
