Housing environment for human beings has been diversified and more convenient due to the development of high technology and civilization brought by industrialization in the 20th century. In the 21st century, how to overcome the ecological limit of biased development-centered advancement, that is, how to preserve and hand over a clean and healthy 'sustainable environment' to our next generations has been one of the most-talked about issues. Environmental symbiosis means a wider range of environmental harmony from micro-dimensional perspective to macro one. The three goals of a environmentally friendly house are to preserve global environment, to harmonize with the environment around, and to offer a healthy and comfortable living environment. From the point of view of environmental symbiosis, houses should be designed to save energy and natural resources for preservation of global environment, to collect such natural energy resources as solar heat and wind force, to recycle waste water, and recycle and reduce the amount of the waste matter. Now, the environmentally-friendly house became a new social mission that is difficult to not only challenge but also realize without conversion to a new paradigm, ecologism.

In the age of digital culture, TV broadcasting is exercising more influence as a information and communication medium compared to past. With the appearance of satellite broadcasting service in 2002, the broadcasting environment became a diversified field of local TV, cable TV, satellite, internet, etc. and created the time of multi-media and multi-channel. This ongoing change of broadcasting environment made the passive audience of the past, active image makers and new accepters, participants and users of communications, who know how to choose and use media as the active centerpiece, The active acceptor as the centerpiece of channel selections has become the center of the broadcasting, whereby they pick up and enjoy their favorite TV programs and came to remember the list of their favorite channels and zap them finally. In this point of spotting their favorite channels and improving the degree of recognition for the channels, the development of the noticeable brand for a particular program has made a great contribution. The aim of this study, therefore, is to recognize the factors, which are important in the habits of watching TV and to develop professional brands for TV broadcasting programs. The range of the survey for this study was home news programs and broadcasting stations abroad, which were on air from March to May in 2004. The focus of the survey was universal and professional news programs. Through this study, it was ascertained that, in the case of news, developing a brand for an anchor as well as for a professional brand of TV program could be an important element.

This study was conducted to examine the effects of dietary Mogchotan(the mixture of charcoal and pyroligneous acid, 80:20, w/w) supplementation on fattening performance, fatty acid composition and the physico-chemical characteristics of meat in pigs. The present study was also stressed to investigate the possibility of industrial utilization of charcoal and pyroligneous acid as a livestock feed additive. Weight gain and feed conversion in pigs fed the Mogchotan supplemented diet were higher than those of the control group. In fatty acids composition, palmitic acid(C16:0) contents of Mogchotan treatment groups were lower than that of control group. However, Mogchotan supplementation increased C16:1, C18:0, C18:1, C18:2 and C18:3 contents when compared with control group pigs. Also, Mogchotan supplementation groups decreased saturated fatty acids level than control group. On the other hand, Mogchotan supplementation showed higher unsaturated fatty acids value, especially polyunsaturated fatty acids value compared to control group. The carcass pH of pigs fed the Mogchotan tended to be higher than control, but was not significantly different. The water holding capacity was significantly higher in pigs fed the 3.0% Mogchotan-supplemented diet than those of other treatment groups(p<0.05). Altogether, it has been suggested that dietary $1{\sim}3%$ of Mogchotan supplementation improved the fattening performance and meat quality in pigs.

Most of product designers use 3D CAD system as a inevitable design tool nowadays and many new products are developed through a concurrent engineering process. However, it is very difficult for novice designers to get the sense of reality from modeling objects shown in the computer screens. Such a intangibility problem comes from the lack of haptic interactions and contextual information about the real space because designers tend to do 3D modeling works only in a virtual space of 3D CAD system. To address this problem, this research investigate the possibility of a interactive quantified structure simulation for product design using AR(augmented reality) which can register a 3D CAD modeling object on the real space. We built a quantified structure simulation system based on AR and conducted a series of experiments to measure how accurately human perceive and adjust the size of virtual objects under varied experimental conditions in the AR environment. The experiment participants adjusted a virtual cube to a reference real cube within 1.3% relative error(5.3% relative StDev). The results gave the strong evidence that the participants can perceive the size of a virtual object very accurately. Furthermore, we found that it is easier to perceive the size of a virtual object in the condition of presenting plenty of real reference objects than few reference objects, and using LCD panel than HMD. We tried to apply the simulation system to identify preference characteristics for the appearance design of a home-service robot as a case study which explores the potential application of the system. There were significant variances in participants' preferred characteristics about robot appearance and that was supposed to come from the lack of typicality of robot image. Then, several characteristic groups were segmented by duster analysis. On the other hand, it was interesting finding that participants have significantly different preference characteristics between robot with arm and armless robot and there was a very strong correlation between the height of robot and arm length as a human body.

The assistive devices for disabled people are being highlighted even in industrial aspects through the policy and support for disabled people, enactment of regulation for the improvement of accessibility of disabled, technological innovation and product development. Recently, internet access with the sense of touch and hearing and utilizing electronic publishing contents and e-mailing are being convenient through the product of ICT development such as screen reader for visually impaired people, braille display, screen enlarger, text converter and others. Even so, in rapidly changing digital media smart era, the accessibility of visually impaired people is still poor and assistive devices and alternative formats are in need of improvement. Therefore, in aspect of the research and development innovation, this study proposes the implementation directions for improvement of accessibility by analyzing the current situation and structure of alternative formats and assistive devices for visually impaired people. As a result, in the future, various types of digital information are expected to be converted into a customized and realistic forms and distributed through a dedicated disability products or smart devices.

The trend of the web is moving from portal-centered to user-centered, and RIA(rich internet application) is considered best solution for usability and functionality of the next generation web. But the lack of reference document or technical guide for RIA implementation is a big obstacle for extension of RIA environment to practical business engineer or user. In this paper, I will suggest the implementation conceptand reference site for user-centered environment based on RIA concept. The suggested concept support wire/wireless environment, and use the e-mail that is already used by many company or portal. The contents of this paper will be very helpful to the practical engineer or portal/company that want to use or implement about RIA environment.

As computers and networks become popular, distributing information on the Internet is common in our daily life. In the past, e-mail has been the primary choice of exchanging information but messengers are gaining popularity abroad and domestically because of their nature of getting immediate responses. Information leakage by invasion that is enemy of evil in communication of communications division Server and Agent between each agents that become burden of communication for effective administration of data for most of existing messenger is becoming an issue. In this paper, we design a secure messenger system that could be obtained maximum security. It use ECC based on ElGamal methodology using PKI for secure communication. For the message encryption and decryption between the same group non, each group is kept distinct by drawing an elliptic curve and an arbitrary point is chosen on the curve.

This paper describes the development of a window manager based on the real time operating system, Qplus-p, for small internet appliance. Current window managers for small internet appliance are originally developed for desktop environment and then modified for embedded systems. So they have inadequate functions for small internet appliances and do not perfectly support Hangul. The Qplus-P window manager adds the Hangul processing function to Matchbox window manager, a royalty-free window manager for small Internet appliance and provides a new Hangul input method called Amikey. Input mode can be changed automatically from Hangul mode to English mode and vice versa by Amikey. In addition, Qplus-P window manager provides Hangul supported basic applications such as web browser, e-mail client, MP3 player. We developed the window manager by porting open sources to target system after adding Hangul supported functions to them.

This study suggests a model for building governance system to develop and utilize human resources in Chungnam province. In particular, In the regional level of balanced development of human resources, the study tries to investigate alternatives to utilize regional human resources development by building and using a network between related organizations through their partnership and cooperative relations. This survey was conducted to 250 of personnel and experts who were in charge of human resources in diverse chungnam institutions through mail or e-mail from December in 2008 to February in 2009. As a result of the survey, the study shows that basic groundwork for the regional human resources development is poor in terms of forming the system and its plans, and the ties and cooperation between related organization, Therefore this study shows that in order to overcome the current situation and build the governance appropriate to Chungnam area, we need to consider different approaches for each regional organization stage by stage regarding the maturity in the governance.

There exists a many-to-many mapping relationship between persons and their names. A person may have multiple names, and different persons may share the same name. These synonymous and homonymous names may severely deteriorate the recall and precision of the person search, respectively. This study addresses the characteristics of features for resolving homonymous author names appearing in citation data. As disambiguation features, previous works have employed citation-internal features such as co-authorship, titles of articles, titles of publications as well as citation-external features such as emails, affiliations, Web evidences. To the best of our knowledge, however, there has been no literature to deal with the influences of features on author disambiguation. This study analyzes the effect of individual features on author resolution using a large-scale test set for Korean.
