Digital library in knowledge-information-based society of the 21st century should develop legally various digital information resources in order to provide information services to users. This study analyzes and examines in detail the related provisions of copyright law relating to the development of digital information resources(digitalized works, electronic books, electronic journals, electronic reserve materials etc.). This study also points out the problems of the current Copyright Act and proposed Copyright Act of Korea. And it suggests necessary measures and improved plans to promote the development of digital information resources.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the basic data for providing library information services of high quality with clients, by designing the model of MyCyberLibrary and evaluating it. The model of MyCyberLibrary was constructed based on the survey results on the information-seeking behavior of users and on the review of the existing mylibraries'functions. The model is implemented into the prototype system which consists of nine modules. Finally, we evaluated the proposed system via mail questionnaires, and proposed three suggestions to make this system a much more comprehensive and effective one.

본 논문은 IIS 4.0 웹서버상에서는 ASP와 SQL을 연동한 웹프로그래밍을 통하여 효율적인 자료처리와 환자와 의사간의 on-line 상담, 그리고 off-line 상에서의 진료와 환자가 지정한 약사로의 처방전 전송 및 조제, 그리고 진료데이터의 저장 및 검색으로 인한 반영구적인 진료데이터저장 등 3자(환자, 의사, 약사)간의 상호대화형 원격진료 시스템구현에 대한 내용이다. 또한 본 시스템은 인터넷 기반에서의 3차(환자, 의사, 약사)간의 효율적인 진료와 빠른 처리를 위한 전자진료 차트 및 자료처리에 관한 내용을 제시하고 있다.

Unlike the United States, course reserve and e-Reserve services of university libraries are very poorly operated in Korea. This paper studied cases of e-Reserve service operation of 131 university libraries in the United States to provide basic materials for revitalizing the e-Reserve service of domestic university libraries. To confirm the operation case, 131 university library websites were surveyed, and among them, the e-Reserve service operation methods of 7 university libraries were compared and analyzed, and the functions of 4 e-Reserve supporting software were checked. The research results can be used as reference materials in operating the e-Reserve service in domestic university libraries, and the function of the analyzed support software is considered to be a functional requirement to be considered when introducing the system.

In order to make a decision about the acquisition of command control communication weapon systems considering the client's technology level requirements, the improvement of the domestic technology level and security of core technology, the person in charge can perform technology evaluation/analysis based on command control communication weapon system patent data. As a method of collecting such patent data, we can collect the patent data of government-designated (Defense Acquisition Program Act Article 35) companies (11 Major defense companies/9 General defense companies) through the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information System (KIPRIS) of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) In this way, we collected 1,526 patents and 134 International Patent Classification (IPC) types through the KIPRIS of the KIPO. Based on these data, we performed three types of analysis, General information analysis, Principal Components Analysis (PCA) and Network analysis, and extracted 27, 19 and 13 IPC types from them, respectively. Based on the above three analysis results, we confirmed 8 IPC types (F41A, F41G, G06F, G01S, H04B, H04L, H04M and H04W) as the key technologies and representative technology fields of domestic communication-electronics defense companies.

We have developed the Mobile Multi Sensor System(MMSS) for the data construction of 4S application and for basic technology acquisition of mobile mapping system in Korea. Using this MMSS, we will collect the information of road and road facilities for DB creation and also construct the Digital Elevation Model(DEM) as ancillary data in urban area. The MMSS consist of the integrated navigation sensor, DGPS & IMU, and digital CCD camera set. In the S/W aspect, we developed the post-processing components for extracting the 3D coordinate information (Spatial Information) and the client program for the MMSS user group. In this paper, we will overview the MMSS constitution and post-processing program, and introduce the utilization plan of MMSS.

Requirements concerning production of electronic documents and storage are stipulated in the act on document management of public institutions revised in 2003. However, provisions or standards for long term preservation of electronic documents are insufficient and in need of strengthening. This study aims to provide standard factors for long term preservation of electronic documents and thus lay foundation for long term preservation related matters for the establishment of management strategy, ISO 15489 management factor is analyzed as a necessary framework for long term preservation of electronic record at a production stage. Preservation description information is derived from ISO 14721 which is suggesting document management systems to archival institutions. Through this case study, standard registry factors reflecting ISO 15489 and 14721's are suggested in an attempt to improve the act and system environment for long term preservation and archiving.

The recent publications of two major works from Ministry of Environment and Korea National Arboretum (Type specimens collected from Korea at the herbarium of the University of Tokyo, five volumes) and National Institute of Biological Resources (Korean type specimens deposited in foreign herbaria and museums, two volumes excluding other animal groups) on Korean vascular plants have resulted in discrepancies needing either correction or clarification. The former published the results of a portion of T. Nakai's collections deposited at TI, while the latter produced the results about collections of G. Koidzumi's, J. Ohwi's, and S. Kitamura's at Kyoto University and of E. H. Wilson's and H. Leveille's at Harvard University. Consequently some omissions, discrepancies, and conflicts resulted, such as the inclusion of conflicting designations of lectotype, isotype, syntype or holotype, erroneous citations of publications, and misinformation. Suh et al.'s publications about type specimens of Korean plants deposited at TI showed 47 conflicting typifications and 20 typographical and other errors. Type information offered by Yim et al. were discussed, and 75 conflicting typification and 30 typographical and other errors from these two volumes were also brought to notice. It is clear that Suh et al. and Yim et al. merely provided type information without consulting original description of each plant species. It is apparent that all these conflicting designation of types, erroneous citations of publications, and other types of misinformation were as a result of the disregard of original citation and the ignorance of basic type concept.

This paper presents the content regarding electronic medical examination chart and data treatment for efficient medical examination and prompt treatment by realizing mutual conversation type remote medical examination system among 3 parties(patient, doctor, pharmacist) on internet base. This is an intelligence type remote medical examination system for both on-line and off-line mode to transcend time and space on the web being participated by anybody, which is cheap type to solve problems in existing remote medical examination system such as high price based on hardware, incompatibility, and so on. By interconnecting ASP and SQL on IIS 4.0 web server, database enables system integration for efficient data processing, on-line consultation between patient and doctor, medical examination on off-line, transmission of medical prescription to pharmacist designated by patient and preparation of medicine, semi-eternal storage of medical examination data owing to storage and search of medical examination data, exact medical examination and prescription using this medical examination data by patient and doctor, and so on.

This study aimed to propose considerations for attributes and their standardization strategies during the data collection process for electronic publications by domestic distributors for the National Library of Korea. The research identified a total of 21 essential and optional attributes based on a survey and a Focused Group Interview (FGI) with the staff responsible for legal deposit and acquisition tasks at the National Library of Korea. Additional attributes were found necessary during the data quality verification process, leading to the specification of essential and optional attributes for various types of materials, including eBooks, audiobooks, webtoons, and web novels. The standardization of attribute values, essential for enhancing the identifiability and management efficiency of electronic publications, included adherence to ISO 8601 rules for dates and times, clear designation of limited-range attribute values such as file format and adult content, and detailed description of information related to titles. Furthermore, the study highlighted the need for establishing standardized metadata requirements and continuous data quality management and monitoring systems.
