  • Help-Desk 서비스는 도서관 현장에서 사서가 이용자와 직접 대면하는 서비스로 이용자가 도서관을 이용할 때 일어나는 커뮤니케이션이다. 이는 최초의 지식관리활동이다. 이용자의 요구에 따라다양하게 제공되고 발생되는 Help-Desk 서비스는 이용자 질문-해답서비스, 이용자 교육서비스, 참고정보서비스, 전자우편서비스, 전자게시판, 개인정보관리, SDI, 공개자료, 교수연구지원서비스 등이다. 이 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 Help-Desk 서비스 실태를 조사·분석하여 사서와 이용자 사의의 바람직한 지식관리유형으로서 Help-Desk 지식관리를 제시하고자한다.

  • As commercialization of the Internet has brought flood of information and the proportion of electronic source in the library collection has been gradually increasing, it is highly important for the library to quickly obtain and utilize the latest information. SDI service is expected to fulfill the needs providing the latest information swiftly and accurately to the digital library users. This study seeks to analyze the current standing of practical application of the SDI service in the universities of South Korea based on surveys and make a proposal on the advancement and extension of the SDI service.

  • Due to the development of IT technology and the spread of infectious diseases, online non-face-to-face services are rapidly expanding. In particular, the information delivery process is also changing from the past postal branch-based to an information delivery system using mobile devices. This change is due to the change from the information delivery using the telephone line to the information delivery system using the Internet. Mobile notification service is a service that sends electronic notices to mobile devices held by users to deliver information and is validated for delivery, which has the advantage of reducing the benefits of unnecessary mail production, exposure to personal information, and misdelivery. However, user identification information must be provided to operators that provide mobile electronic notification services. In this paper, the current state of use of the mobile electronic notice service, which has been in effect since 2019, is investigated and analyzed, and the current mobile electronic notice service is to be safely provided and to take appropriate protection measures for personal information. In providing the mobile electronic notification service to users, it is possible to identify the service standards required by the sending agency, and based on this, prepare the technical standards for the mobile electronic notification service that the sending agency must comply with in advance and use it for the mobile electronic notification service.

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate the perception and use of e-books by librarians and children and to suggest important elements to improve e-book services at the children's libraries. User survey questionaries and interviews from fifty five librarians and thirty children were carried for the perceptions and the use of e-books at five children's libraries. Based upon the data analysis from two groups, three important elements for improving e-book services of the libraries were suggested as follows: providing enough e-book contents, facilities and spaces, developing e-book user education programs with proactive pubic relations, and providing professional continuing education programs regarding e-books to librarians.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide suggestions for the effective management and user services of electronic journals in university libraries. In order to do that literature reviews, case studies, and survey questionnaires were conducted. The case studies involved six university libraries, which were analyzed based on accessing, cataloging and user services. Questionnaires consisting of forty-seven items in eight parts, including selection and subscription of electronic journals were distributed to the libratians who were in charge of managing electronic journals. Following an analysis on the survey, guidelines for effective management and user services of electronic journals were suggested.

  • 본 논문에서는 다양한 분야에서 도입 운용되어 증가하는 영상감시정보의 수요에 대응하기 위해 지능형 영상감시 기술개발 동향과 적용기술에 대한 정보를 조사 및 분석하였다. 이를 통해 영상감시정보의 수요에 대응하기 위하여 서비스별 시나리오에 따라 다양한 서비스 제공과 효율적인 영상감시를 위한 서비스 맞춤형 영상감시 시스템을 설계하였다.

Service Patterns and Suggestions on Electronic Scholarly Journals at Academic Societies in Korea (국내 학회의 전자학술지 서비스 유형 및 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the current service pattern of electronic scholarly journals at homepages of Korean academic societies and to provide some suggestions for the better service of electronic scholarly journals. Data were collected from December 26, 2003 to January 6, 2004. The object of the examination was from the number of 257 academic societies which are publishing Registered Journals designated by Korea Research Foundation. Among the number of 257 academic societies, 116(45.1%) of them are providing electronic scholarly journals at their homepages, and among the number of 116 academic societies, 62(53.4%) of which are providing electronic scholarly journals with their own efforts without other organizations' help. The number of 257, 116, and 62 academic societies are compared with national information circulation institutions in terms of the service of electronic scholarly journals. Suggestions for the better service of electronic scholarly journals at academic societies in Korea are also provided.

  • 정부 및 공공기관에서는 전자정부서비스의 만족도를 평가하기 위하여 홈페이지 설문조사를 이용하고 있으나 설문조사 기관별 예산의 투입, 설문조사 대상, 최근의 추세치 등 여러 변수로 인하여 객관적으로 만족도를 향상시키기 위한 노력을 측정하기가 매우 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 홈페이지를 통하여 제공되는 전자정부서비스의 예산, 설문대상, 추세치 등을 객관적으로 반영한 합리적인 목표수준을 설정하여 평가 할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 합리적인 목표수준 설정의 방법으로 공정능력지수(Process Capability Index, CP)를 활용한 초기 목표치 도출, 예산 및 환경여건 반영, 개선노력, 최종 목표치 설정의 단계를 제안하였다. 이러한 방법을 통하여 환경여건이 다른 정부 및 공공기관의 전자정부서비스 만족도를 평가하여 개선의 노력을 비교할 수 있는 객관적인 방안으로 활용할 수 있다.

The Effect Relationship between SNS Tourism Information Service Quality and Information Sharing Intention (SNS 관광정보 서비스품질과 정보공유의도 간 영향관계)

  • The objectives of this study are to suggest useful directions for promotion of SNS tourism information service to the service providers through investigating the effect relationship between SNS tourism information service quality and the information sharing intention. To achieve the objectives, as a conceptual framework of the study, the literature on SNS tourism information service quality and information sharing intention were reviewed, and the empirical studies on the perception of the service users about the services was conducted. The findings showed that the 'easy acquisition' and 'interactivity' factors of SNS tourism information service quality have an effect on the information sharing intention. Accordingly, the service providers are required to enhance the service quality related to the information acquisition and interaction between users.

Trends in Integrated Electronic Resource Management in Academic Libraries (대학도서관의 전자자원 통합관리 유형 연구)

  • The explosion in the number of electronic resources has necessitated that academic libraries rethink the way they manage the life cycle of their electronic resources within the structure and processes of their library. With this momentum, led by the Digital Library Federation's Electronic Resources Management Initiative, specifications and tools for electronic resources has been devised. This study surveys the terrain of electronic resource management as viewed through the current development of ERM Systems and their adaptations into major academic libraries in the United States. For this, we tried to report how such tools are implemented with various additional modules. The potential of the module to integrate the management of its electronic resources into the new process has been suggested, as well.
