This study investigated a special class or Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) system. While it has been predicted that the use of EDI will have a significant impact on the competitive advantage of organization. very little is known about the successful construction of such system. A few studies done in this area have relied on anecdotal data on data based on a small number of case studies. The major objectives of the research are to identify the factors that facilitate the adoption and successful construction of an EDI system, and to evaluate the impact of the EDI system on competitive advantage of the organization. Based on the EDI literature. organizational performance is modeled to be affected by three independent variables: EDI system. communication. trust. The level of EDI system was used as control variable. The data used to test the model were collected in a mail survey from department store in Korea. The results indicate that organizational performance is affected by EDI system, communication. The paper concludes with a discussion of future directions for research in the area of test EDI models.

정보통신기술의 발전으로 전자적인 자료.기록의 교환이 중요한 업무 수단으로 등장하고 있다. 컴퓨터와 통신기술의 결합을 통해 다양한 형태의 자료와 정보를 일방적 또는 쌍방적으로 신속하게 교환할 수 있게됨에 따라 전자적인 자료.기록의 교환은 종이문서를 대신하여 정보사회의 주요한 업무수단이 되고 있다. 전자문서교환(EDI), 전자우편(E mail), 파일전송(File Transfer), 데이터베이스 서비스 등이 정보통신기술을 이용한 대표적인 방식이다. 이 글에서는 이와 같이 정보통신 기술을 이용한 여러가지 업무처리 방법중에서 전자문서를 대상으로 하여 그 법적 효력의 인정과 관련한 문제들을 살펴보고자 한다.

본 연구는 기업의 경쟁전략으로서 크게 공헌하고 있는 전자교환기술, 특히 EDI(전자 자료교환)의 다양한 이점에 대하여 기술하고 있다. 선행 연구된 문헌을 통해서 중소기업이 전자적 기술을 채택하지 않으면 안 되는지에 대하여 살펴보았다. 이 연구에서 중소기업에서 전자상거래 기술을 완만히 수용하는 주요 요인을 밝혔는데, 이러한 요인으로 인하여 중소기업에서는 전자상거래의 장점을 살리고자 전자교환기술을 광범위하게 채택하고 있다. 향후 이 연구는 이러한 주제에 대하여 심도 깊은 연구를 하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 3차원 채팅과 전자 상거래의 개념을 동시에 만족하는 사이버 몰의 가상 공간을 설계하고 관련된 서버-클라이언트 프로그램을 개발하는 것이 목적이다. 서버에서는 사용자의 3차원 아바타 에이전트 정보 관리 및 인터넷 상에서 사용자의 클라이언트 프로그램에 필요한 자료를 공급하며, 클라이언트에서는 3차원 가상 공간의 텍스쳐 매핑을 통한 GUI를 보여주고 서버와 자료를 교환하여 사용자간의 정보 교환 및 전자 상거래에 필요한 가상 공간을 설계하여 보여준다. 그런데, 3차원 자료는 인터넷의 속도 문제로 인해 실제 대용량의 자료를 처리하는 데 어려운 점이 있다. 따라서, 대용량 자료를 압축하여 VRML로 변환하고 이를 아바타로 사용할 수 있는 변환기를 개발하였다.

This study describes the XML-based digitalization of structural design sheets for RC buildings to exchange on the web. For this purpose, first, the data structure of XML document that represents the structural design skeets, including mathematical expressions and graphics that cannot be easily exchanged on the web, is defined. Then, the presentation of the XML documents on the web is discussed. The prototype that facilitates the web-based exchange of the XML documents we developed and the feasibility of the results of this study is discussed.

The purpose of this study was to explore the nature of the relationship between several factors representing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) service quality enumerated in the service marketing literature and the adaptability to the marketing strategy of EDI service firm in Korea. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the determinants of shipping service quality and satisfaction level but also its implications to the service marketing strategy. The data investigating the determinants of EDI service quality were collected from Korean EDI end-users. Exploratory Factor analysis was carried out to analyze the data.
