Massive and various types of data recorded everywhere are called big data. Therefore, it is important to analyze big data and to nd valuable information. Besides, to standardize unstructured big data is important for the application of statistical methods. In this paper, we will show how to standardize unstructured big data using MapReduce which is a distribution processing system. We also apply simple correspondence analysis and multiple correspondence analysis to nd the relationship and characteristic of direct relationship words for Samsung Electronics and The Korea Economic Daily newspaper as well as Apple Inc.

So far, most of Korea's newspapers indexing have been done manually using tesaurus. In recent years, however, the need for automatic indexing system has grown stronger so as for indexers to save time, efforts and money. And some newspapers have started establishing their databases along with introducing electronic newspapers and CTS. This thesis is on establishing and automatic indexing system for the full-text of the Korea Economic Daily's articles, which have been accumulated in its database, KETEL. In my thesis, I suggest methods to create a keyword file, a stopword list, an auxiliary word list and an infected word list by applying linguistic analysis methods to Hangul, taking advantage of the language's morphological peculiarity. Through these studies, I was able to reach four conclusions as follows. First, we can obtain satisfactory keywords by automatic indexing methods that were made through morphological analysis. Second, an indexer can improve the efficiency of indexing work by controlling extracted vocabulary, as syntax analysis and semantic analysis is not complete in Hangul. Third, The keyword file in this system which is made of about 20,000 most-frequently-used newspaper terms can be used in the future in compiling a thesaurus. Finally, the suggested methods to prepare an auxiliary word list and an infected word list can be applicable to designing other automatic systems.

This study focuses those periods of Kim Young-Sam and Kim Dae-Jung administration. This study tries to analyze any change in terms of ideological tendency and report attitude on the assessment of the government policy in the Korean newspapers from Kim Young-Sam to Kim Dae-Jung administration. Although these two civilian regimes were born after long periods of military dictatorship, there are many distinguished differences dividing these two. Kim Young-Sam could succeed through joining with the establishment of the power, while Kim Dae-Jung was elected as President through the horizontal shift of the power, opposition party becoming ruling party. Their power base was different. Another big difference is their North Korea policy. Kim Young-Sam administration's policy was conservative, while Kim Dae-Jung administration's policy was liberal. This study selected four Korean newspapers that represent each aspect of ideological spectrum in Korean media, and focused on the editorials of each paper as major analysis base. The four papers are Dong-a Ilbo, Chosun Ilbo, JoongAng Ilbo, and Hankyoreh. The study concludes that in terms of the report attitude on the assessment of the government policy, Dong-a, Chosun, JoongAng were more critical under Kim Dae-Jung administration than Kim Young-Sam administration. And Hankyoreh became more supportive of Kim Dae-Jung policy. In terms of the ideological tendency, four newspapers altogether did not change their ideological color regardless of the change in the administration. However conservative color became thinner( Dong-a, Chosun, JoongAng) and liberal color became thicker(Hankyoreh) a little under Kim Dae-Jung administration than Kim Young-Sam administration. Each newspaper tried to show their ideological tendency clearly in order to influence on government policy.

In the information oriented society, a good lesson helps learners to develop self-learning ability. To give a good lesson, teachers should teach with details in learning contents that learners can understand easily, not with abstract and generalized concepts in the textbook. And they also should find the effective instructional media to give students the learning contents. Since the newspaper carries the most current and up-to-date source of information about various fields, if it is used as the teaching material in the classroom, it can help students to learn useful and practical knowledge. Therefore, newspapers are so-called 'living textbook'. NIE which enables students to enhance their ability to utilize the information and to learn wisdom about life, is already actively applied to the educational activities. And e-learning system and the electronic newspaper that make learning happen to anyone anytime anywhere, appears with the advancements in information technology and changing educational paradigm. This changed circumstance make the field and the way of NIE enlarge to e-NIE. e-NIE is the educational media that helps the learners to learn the way of learning. But the study about e-NIE through designing a teaching plan systematically has not been made completely. Therefore, this research aims to find out the characteristics of e-NIE and the effective way of designing a teaching plan that fits the characteristics of e-NIE.

뉴스기사를 구성하는 NOD데이터는 VOD(Video on Demand) 데이터와는 달리 미디어의 종류 및 크기, 시간적인 접근 지역성, 사용자와 상호 작용성 등의 차이점을 가질 뿐만 아니라 새로운 뉴스기사가 수시로 생성되고 사용자가 인기도가 높은 기사와 최신의 뉴스기사에 더 많이 접근하는 특성을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 현재 서비스중인 전자신문의 로그파일을 분석하여 NOD 뉴스기사의 인기도가 Zipf분포와 다름을 보이고, 뉴스기사의 생명주기Lifr Cycle)에 따른 접근 확률분포 제시한다. NOD 데이터의 접근 편기성으로 인하여 데이터 캐싱을 통한 NOD 서버의 성능 향상을 기대할 수 있으나 뉴스기사의 생명주기가 짧고 접근시간대별로 사용자 접근형태가 변하는 등의 이유로 단순히 인기도만 고려한 캐싱은 빈번한 데이터 재배치 문제로 인해 높은 캐시 관리비용을 야기한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 뉴스 기사의 접근 편기성에 나타나는 인기도(popularity)와 생명주기를 조합한 척도를 제안하고 이를 이용한 재배치를 제안한다.

이 글에서는 요즘 신문이나 텔레비전을 통해서 인체 내부를 돌며 검사 및 치료를 하는 마이크로 로보트 등의 차세대 첨단기술로서 일반 국민들에게 소개되기도 하며, MEMS, 마이크로머신, 마이크로시스템, 혹은 초소형 정밀기계 등으로 불리는 기술과 이 기술에 대한 각국 (미국, 일본, 유럽, 한국)의 기술 동향을 소개한다. 이에 이어서, 현재 과기처의 선도기술개발사업 (소위 G7사업) 으로서 진행되고 있는 초소형 정밀기계 기술개발 사업에 대한 소개를 한다. 이 분야에 종사하지 않는 보통 사람들을 위해 가급적 쉬운 말로 풀어 쓰도록 노력하였다. 이 글에서 다루고 있는 크기의 기본 단위는 마이크로미터 (천분의 일 밀리미터) 이며, 사람의 머리카락의 직경이 약 100 마이크로미터 (0.1mm) 내외이다. 초소형 기계나 초소형 부품들은 대개 이 머리카락의 직경정도이며, 머리카락속에 모터나 기어 등이 들어있다고 생각해도 크게 틀리지 않을 것이다.

뉴스와 신문, 라디오, 인터넷에 이르기까지 기상정보를 제공하지 않는 매체가 없는 시대가 되었다. 그만큼 기상정보는 세계적이며 동시에 개인적인, 무엇보다 생활에 밀접한 정보이다. 국민은 보다 정확하며 신속한 정보를 요구하며, 이에 답하기 위해 국가기상위성센터에서는 유관기관들과 천리안의 뒤를 이을 후속 기상위성 개발에 착수하였다. 자연재해 대비에서부터 수많은 산업과 서비스업에 이르기까지, 기상정보는 관련 분야에 엄청난 영향을 끼친다고 볼 수 있다. 본고에서는 대한민국 최초의 기상위성 천리안과, 일본 Himawari-8호의 위성자료 서비스 현황을 소개한다.

최근 디지털 TV 방송의 활성화에 힘입어 수많은 채널을 통한 TV 프로그램 방송이 가능하게 되었다. 이로 인해 디지털 TV 시청자들은 신문 또는 TV 가이드와 같은 기존 인쇄매체를 통해 자신이 원하는 TV 프로그램 스케줄을 얻기가 사실상 매우 어렵게 되었다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 디지털 TV 환경에서는 전자 프로그램 가이드(EPG: Electronic Program Guide)를 제공한다. 현재 제공되고 있는 EPG 서비스들은 대개 디지털 TV 화면 또는 각 방송사 웹 사이트 그리고 이동 단말기 등을 통해서 서비스 되고 있다. 대부분의 기존 연구들은 EPG 정보를 화면상에 시각적으로 제공하는 측면에만 초점을 두고 있다. 하지만 실질적으로 사용자 입장에서는 원하는 방송 프로그램의 스케줄 정보를 찾기 위해서 수백 채널에 달하는 방송 프로그램에 대한 정보를 일일이 검색하는 것은 매우 힘든 일이다. 게다가 사용자가 원하는 키워드를 직접 입력하는 방식 또한 사용자를 매우 번거롭게 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 EPG 서비스 방식에 VoiceXML 관련 기술을 접목하여 이동 단말기상에서 간단한 음성입력을 통해 EPG 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 음성 인터페이스를 제안한다.

워크플로우 및 비피엠 기술 관련 국제표준화기구인 WfMC은 지난 2005년 10월에 정보통신부 주관하에 비피엠코리아포럼, 한국정보통신기술협회, 전자신문이 공동 주최로 우리나라 서울에서 개최된 WfMC 2005 가을 멤버미팅 및 비피엠 표준 세미나에서 XPDL 2.0, 즉 XML기반프로세스 정의 언어 국제표준에 대한 개정판을 공식적으로 발표한 바 있다. 그 후에 2006년 1월에 멤버들의 투표를 통해 최종적으로 공식화 되었다. 따라서, 본 고에서는 개정된 XPDL2.0 표준규격의 BPMN 통합 내용과 이에 따른 기대효과를 소개하고자 한다. 즉, XPDL2.0의 주요 목적은 비즈니스 프로세스의 표준 그래픽적 표기법인 BPMN과의 통합을 위해 기존의 XPDL1.0을 확장ㆍ정의함으로서, 결과적으로 워크플로우 모델에 대한 표준 그래픽 표기법의 제정과 함께 여러 가지 비즈니스 프로세스 관련 도구들간의 프로세스 상호교환을 가능하게 하는 표준 파일포맷을 정의하는데 있다.
