Development of Simulator to Electronic Ballast for HID Lamp (HID Lamp용 전자식 안정기의 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • The electronic ballast have much more shaking of arc than magnetic ballast because of acoustic resonance phenomenon. but it has used mare than before. In this paper, we made metal halide lamp modeling by modifying modeling of mercury lamp. To avoid acoustic resonance phenomenon, We calculated acoustic resonance frequency band. We proposed design of LCC circuit. Also, electronic ballast simulator for metal halide lamp was developed by simulink LCC parameters of inverter was decided on the basis of simulation results. After development of prototype ballast, it was verified the characteristics of simulator.

  • 고밀도 유도결합 플라즈마 장치의 $O_2$ 방전에 대한 공간 평균 시뮬레이터를 제작하였다. 제작된 시뮬레이터는 $O_2$ 플라즈마 방전에서 발생되는 전자, 양이온, 음이온 및 중성종, 활성종들에 대해 공간 평균된 유체 방정식을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 고밀도 유도결합 플라즈마 장치에서 전자가열 모델은 anomalous skin effect 를 고려한 파워 흡수 모델을 적용하여 전자가 흡수하는 고주파 파워량을 결정하였다. 완성된 시뮬레이터에서 RF- 파워, gas-inlet, pumping-speed등의 조정 변수를 비롯한 여러 가지 장치 변수들의 변화에 대한 하전입자, 중성종, 활성종들의 밀도 변화 및 전자 온도 의존성을 계산하였다.

  • Recently, methods of verification for electro-hydraulic servo controllers are various and the required number of testing controllers is continuously increasing in some specific systems. In this study, a PCB-based electronic simulator of hydraulic actuators is designed and developed to simplify test set-up for controllers and to facilitate alteration for characteristics of the simulator. Several features to reduce required time and manpower for verifying controllers are described. Especially, the simulator is considerably efficient to examine some controllers for different hydraulic actuators in a test. Response characteristics of the simulator are compared with those of real actuators to demonstrate validity of this method. Results reveal utilizing the designed simulator for inspecting controllers is equally effective as using hydraulic actuators.

  • 본 논문에서는 IMT-2000 WCDMA 시스템의 기지국의 수신신호에 대한 WCDMA 역방향링크 디지털 빔포밍 적용구조를 제시하고, 이의 성능을 측정하기 위한 빔포밍 시뮬레이터를 구현하였다. 실제 WCDMA 시스템에 근거해 수신 신호를 모델링하고, 기본 신호 모델을 대상으로 빔포밍과 전력제어등의 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 또한 셀네의 각 사용자들의 이동을 정의한 사용자 이동 프로파일을 구성하여 적용함으로써 실제 이동통신이 이루어지는 환경과 유사한 시뮬레이션 환경을 설정하게 되었고, 이를 통하여 빔포밍을 적용한 시스템에 대한 성능 분석의 신뢰도를 향상시켰다

  • 최근 광학식 비접촉 3차원 스캐너의 측정 정밀도는 매우 빠르게 향상되고 있다. 이러한 측정정밀도의 향상으로 3차원 스캐너를 자동차나 전자제품의 인스펙션(Inspection) 툴로 활용하는 사례가 점차 늘고 있다. 3차원스캐너는 측정대상물의 곡면을 신속하게 측정하는 것이 가능하고 높은 해상도를 가지고 있다. 또한 CMM에 비하여 가격이 저렴하고 포터블하므로 향후 많은 산업분야에서 활용성이 점차 커질 것으로 기대된다.(중략)

  • The domestic development status of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) simulator which is based on fluid model is explained. As each part which composes the unified simulator, electron heating module, charged and neutral particle transport module, surface reaction module including a sheath model, and GUI (Graphic User Interface) with pre- and post-processors are described in order. Also, we present data base status of chemical reaction and physical collision, which has been applied to the recently developed simulator until now. Lastly, some future plans of development are suggested.

  • A space averaged $SiH_4/O_2/Ar$ simulator for the high density inductively coupled plasma sources for $SiH_4/O_2/Ar$ discharge is developed. The developed simulator uses space averaged fluid equations for electrons, positive ions, negative ions, neutral species, and radicals in $SiH_4/O_2/Ar$ plasma discharge, and the electron heating model including the anomalous skin effect. Using the developed simulator, the dependency of the density of charged particles, neutral particles, and radicals, the electron temperature, the plasma resistance, and the power absorption coefficient for the RF power and pressure is calculated.

  • The ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is an active control system that controls the posture of the vehicle by sensing the unstable state of the vehicle during braking, driving, or turning. The system works if the vehicle becomes unstable and it is very dangerous to develop it in the actual vehicle. For this reason, many studies have been carried out on the method of developing with simulation such as SIL / EIL. Some advanced companies have already applied it to the product development process. In this study, ESP hydraulic system and braking device model were constructed using SimulationX to build ESP SIL / EIL model. The hydraulic system model was constructed using the actual design parameters and the performance of the hydraulic model was verified by comparing with the actual vehicle test.

  • HILS(Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation) is a scheme that incorporates hardware components of primary concern in the numerical simulation environment. Due to its advantages over actual vehicle test and pure simulation, HILS is being widely accepted in automotive industries as test benches for vehicle control units. Developed in this study is a HILS system for EHB(Electro-Hydraulic Brake) systems that include a high pressure generator and a valve control system that independently modulates the brake pressures at four wheels. An EHB control logic was tested in the HILS system. Test results under various driving conditions are presented and compared with the VDC logic.

  • Many cities, recently, have convertedoptimized fixed-time control to adaptive traffic system in the control of their signalized traffic network. The expected benefit from the adaptive traffic system is its ability to constantly modify signal timing to most effectively accommodate changed traffic conditions. While the potential benefits from this control structure may be significant, few studies have compared the effect of implementing this method of signal control against other alternative signal control strategies, because it is too difficult to evaluate the efficiency of the real-time adaptive system. The objectives of this research are : to develop a microscopic simulator and to compare the effect at isolated intersections, corridors, and networks between the fixed signal timing plan and adaptive traffic signal system. This simulator will have allowed more sophisticated analysis techniques for the study of traffic control. Also, this research using this simulator evaluated a real-time traffic responsive signal system used in Seoul Korea
