A study on lighting system for LED color temperature control using wireless communication and smartphone (무선 통신과 스마트폰을 이용한 LED 색온도 제어 조명 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Lighting systems in modern society has been developed using a combination of IT technology and LED lighting for the purpose of bringing about changes in human-centered natural lighting and to take advantage of the efficient management and energy saving of LED lighting. In this paper, we propose an LED lighting control system that can control the color temperature and brightness of LED lighting composed of 3000K Warm LEDs and 6000K Cool LEDs by using an Arduino Due and wireless communication technology such as Bluetooth and Zigbee. The Arduino Due allows the color temperature of the lighting to be adjusted in several steps by controlling the duty rate and enables many lights to be controlled using Zigbee communication capable of 1: N multiple communication. By using Bluetooth communication, it is possible to easily control the LED lighting by means of a smartphone application, thereby enhancing the convenience for the user. The wireless communication based LED lighting control system implemented in this study cannot only provide human-centered lighting through its color temperature control from 3067K to 5960K and illumination control, but can also reduce the power consumption and be used as a natural-friendly lighting system.

A Study on the Improvements of the Speech Quality by using Distribution Characteristics of LSP parameters in the EVRC(Enhanced Variable Rate Codec) (LSP 파라미터의 분포특성을 이용한 EVRC의 음질개선에 관한 연구)

  • To improve the efficiency of the channel spectrum and to reduce the power consumption of the system in EVRC, the voice signal is compressed and transmitted only when the user speaks to. In addition to this, voice frames are divided into three rates 1, 1/2 and 1/8 and each frame is handled differently. For example, we assumed that the input is silence region if the 1/8 rate is used. In this paper, the sections are firstly separated into the voiced speech signal region, unvoiced speech signal region, and silence region by using distribution characteristics of LSP parameters. Then the paper suggested to encode 1 rate for the voiced speech signal, 1/2 rate for the unvoiced speech signal region, 1/8 rate for the silence region. In other words, traditional way of transmission is used when sending full rate in the EVRC. However, when sending half rate, the voice is firstly distinguished between voiced and unvoiced. If the voice is distinguished as voiced, voice is converted into full rate before the transmission. If it is distinguished as silence, EVRC's basic rate is applied. In the experimental results with SNR, ASDM, transmission bit rate measurement, we have demonstrated that voice quality was improved by using the proposed algorithm.

  • Whereas the early financial information technology invested a large amount of investment on developing and adopting its own new systems. it is now focusing on reducing expenses and improving internal efficiency but applied for securing a company's competitive advantage considering the long term strategic level. As relevant researches, studies on information system quality and performance are actively going on. In previous research, the relations of the influence on the financial performance by information system quality or absorption capacity have been reviewed. In other words, the information system quality and absorptive capacity, respectively, in the position of the independent variables have been studied as a factor to have a significant effect on financial performance while the research on the relationship between these two variables is lacking. Thus, in this researches, quality of financial information systems and the absorptive capacity, respectively, as independent variables and parameters on the mediating effect on the financial performance were researches. As a result, quality of financial information systems showed a positive effect on the performance of company, the absorption capacity was perfect to play the role of mediating one. However, absorptive capacity as an independent variable has a positive impact on financial performance, but the quality of financial information systems as a parameter was not affected in any manner.

  • 반도체 설계는 급속한 기능 추가와 기가 헬쯔에 육박하는 고속 동작에 부응하는 제품의 설계와 빠른 출시를 위하여 다방면의 연구를 거듭하고 있다. 하지만, 인터넷과 정보 가전의 모바일 기기에서 요구하는 폭발적인 기능의 추가와 가전기기의 최소화를 위하여서는 그 요구를 감당하지 못하고 있다. 이를 위한 방안으로 설계 재활용과 System-On-Chip의 설계가 수년 전부터 대두되었으나 아직 큰 실효를 거두지 못하고 있다. SoC설계는 다기능을 한 칩에 구성하는 방법을 시도하고 있고, 설계 재활용은 기존의 설계(IP)를 다른 것과 혼합하여 필요한 기능을 제공하는 방법이 시도되고 있다. 이 두가지의 VLSI 설계 방식 흐름을 가능하도록 하기 위한 연구로써, 레이아웃 이식에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. IP 재활용을 위하여서는 다양한 공정변화에 신속히 대응하고, 기존의 설계 설계규칙으로 설계된 면을 현재의 공정인 0.25um, 0.18um 테크놀러지에 맞도록 변환하는 VLSI 소프트웨어 시스템을 필요로 한다. 레이아웃 설계도면을 분석하여 소자 및 배선을 인식하는 알고리즘을 연구와 개발하고, 도면을 첨단 테크놀러지의 설계 규칙에 부응하도록 타이밍, 소비 전력, 수율을 고려한 최적의 소자 및 배선의 크기를 조절하는 방법을 고안하며, 칩 면적을 최적화할 수 있는 컴팩션 알고리즘을 개발하여 레이아웃 설계 도면을 이식할 수 있는 자동화 소프트웨어 시스템을 연구하였다. 더불어, 현재 반도체 소프트웨어 시스템의 최대 문제점에 해당하는 처리 속도와 도면의 처리 능력을 비교, 검토하여 본 연구가 속도면에서 평균 27배 효율면에서 3배 이상의 상대우위를 점하였다.전송과 복원이 이루어질 것이다.하지 않은 경우 단어 인식률이 43.21%인 반면 표제어간 음운변화 현상을 반영한 1-Best 사전의 경우 48.99%, Multi 사전의 경우 50.19%로 인식률이 5~6%정도 향상되었음을 볼 수 있었고, 수작업에 의한 표준발음사전의 단어 인식률 45.90% 보다도 약 3~4% 좋은 성능을 보였다.으로서 hemicellulose구조가 polyuronic acid의 형태인 것으로 사료된다. 추출획분의 구성단당은 여러 곡물연구의 보고와 유사하게 glucose, arabinose, xylose 함량이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 점미가 수가용성분에서 goucose대비 용출함량이 고르게 나타나는 경향을 보였고 흑미는 알칼리가용분에서 glucose가 상당량(0.68%) 포함되고 있음을 보여주었고 arabinose(0.68%), xylose(0.05%)도 다른 종류에 비해서 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 흑미는 총식이섬유 함량이 높고 pectic substances, hemicellulose, uronic acid 함량이 높아서 콜레스테롤 저하 등의 효과가 기대되며 고섬유식품으로서 조리 특성 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.리하였다. 얻어진 소견(所見)은 다음과 같았다. 1. 모년령(母年齡), 임신회수(姙娠回數), 임신기간(姙娠其間), 출산시체중등(出産時體重等)의 제요인(諸要因)은 주산기사망(周産基死亡)에 대(對)하여 통계적(統計的)으로 유의(有意)한 영향을 미치고 있어 $25{\sim}29$세(歲)의 연령군에서, 2번째 임신과 2번째의 출산에서 그리고 만삭의 임신 기간에, 출산시체중(出産時體重) $

  • In the AEC(Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry, BIM(Building Information Modeling) technology not only helps design intent efficiently, but also realizes an object-oriented design including building's life cycle information. Thus it can manage all data created in each building stage and the roles of BIM are greatly expanded. Contractors and designers have been trying to adopt BIM to design competitions and validate it for the best result in various aspects. Via the computational simulation which differs from the existing process, effective evaluation can be done. For this process, a modeling guideline for each kind of BIM tool and a validation system for the confidential assessment are required. This paper explains a new process about design evaluation methods and process using BIM technologies which follow the new paradigm in construction industry through complement points by an example of a competition activity of the Korea Power Exchange(KPX) headquarter office. In conclusion, this paper provides a basic data input guideline based on open BIM for automatic assessment and interoperability between different BIM systems and suggests a practical usage of the rule-based Model Checker.

Multiple Transmit Focusing Method With Modified Orthogonal Golay Codes for Ultrasound Imaging (초음파 영상에서 변형된 직교 골레이 코드를 이용한 동시 다중 송신 집속 기법)

  • Coded excitation with complementary Golay sequences is an effective means to increase the SNR and penetration of ultrasound imaging. in which the two complementary binary codes are transmitted successively along each scan-line, reducing the imaging frame rate by half. This method suffers from low frame rate particularly when multiple transmit focusing is employed, since the frame rate will be further reduced in proportion to the number of focal zones. In this paper. a new ultrasound imaging technique based on simultaneous multiple transmit focusing using modified orthogonal Golay codes is proposed to improve lateral resolution with no accompanying decrease in the imaging frame rate, in which a pair of orthogonal Golay codes focused at two different focal depths are transmitted simultaneously. On receive, these modified orthogonal Golay codes are separately compressed into two short pulses and individually focused. These two focused beams are combined to form a frame of image with improved lateral resolution. The Golay codes were modified to improve the transmit power efficiency (TPE) for practical imaging. Computer simulations and experimental results show that the proposed method improves significantly the lateral resolution and penetration of ultrasound imaging compared with the conventional method.

  • This paper deals with characteristics analysis of a permanent magnet (PM) linear generator using analytical methods for wave energy harvesting. The wave energy is carried out from the movement of a yo-yo system. A linear generator using permanent magnets to generate a magnetic force itself does not require a separate power supply and has the advantage of simple maintenance. In addition to the use of a rare earth, a permanent magnet having a high-energy density can be miniaturized and lightweight, and can obtain high energy-conversion efficiency. We derived magnetic field solutions produced by the permanent magnet and armature reaction based on 2D polar coordinates and magnetic vector potential. Induced voltage is obtained via arbitrary sinusoidal input. In addition, electrical parameters are obtained, such as back-EMF constant, resistance, and self- and mutual-winding inductances. The space harmonic method used in this paper is confirmed by comparing it with finite element method (FEM) results. These facilitate the characterization of the PM-type linear generator and provide a basis for comparative studies, design optimization, and machine dynamic modeling.

A Study on Output Enhancement Method of PV Array Using Electrical Circuit Reconfiguration Algorithm (전기적 회로절체 알고리즘에 의한 태양광 어레이의 출력향상 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, RES (renewable energy source) projects have been spreading all over the world as an alternative to solve the shortage of energy and environmental problems caused by fossil fuel consumption. The Korean government also supported the policy and demonstration project to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 63.8[GW] until 2030, which is 20[%] of the total power generation. On the other hand, output loss of a PV array can occur when the surrounding high-rise buildings and trees shade a PV array. Therefore, this paper proposes an algorithm to improve the output loss of a PV array, which electrically changes a circuit configuration of PV modules by wiring and switching devices. Furthermore, this study modeled a PV system based on PSIM S/W, which was composed of a PV array, a circuit configuration device, and a grid-connected inverter. From the simulations results with the modeling and test device, the existing method showed no output when 50% of the shade occurs in PV modules. In contrast, the proposed method could produce the output because the voltage in the PV module could be restored to 246[V], and the operation efficiency of the PV system could be improved by the operation algorithm of the circuit configuration device.

  • Bum-in test is one for eliminating semiconductor devices that are subject to early failures and other operational problems; it is usually carried out on the devices by imposing severe test conditions such as elevated voltages, temperatures, and time. In order for such a test to be performed, each burn-in board having devices to be tested, needs to be inserted into a corresponding slot. A set of such slots is called a zone. The slots comprising a zone can only have the burn-in boards with the devices of the same type. In order to test many different types of semiconductor devices, it is desirable to build a burn-in test system to have as many zones as possible. A zone controller controlling a zone, is a device that performs a burn-in test and collects test results. In case of existing systems, each zone controller takes care of a zone that consists of a fixed number of slots. Since a zone controller is, in most cases, embedded into a workstation that controls the overall testing process, adding new zone controllers is restricted by the spaces for them. As a way to solve or alleviate these problems, a dynamic zone system in which the number of slots in a zone can be dynamically allocated, is presented. This system maximizes the efficiency of system utilization, by altering the number of slots and hence minimizing the idle slots of a zone. In addition, all the test operations being performed must be aborted for maintenance in existing systems. In dynamic zone systems, however, a separate and independent maintenance is allowed for each slot, as long as the main power supply system has no problem.
