A Study on Nonlinear Distortion Analysis of Power Amplifier using the OFDM for WLAN System (무선랜 시스템에서 OFDM 방식을 사용한 전력증폭기의 비선형 왜곡분석에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we are going to analyze on relation of an output spectrum along phase distortion of power amplifier in wireless LAN system, and then considered an ACPR characteristic of power amplifier and consideration of an OFDM method for this. Also, we did implementation for OFDM modulation and transmission section of an IEEE 802.11a standard to have transmission speed of the maximum 54Mbps in order to know an OFDM modulation method and relation of non-linear characteristic of power amplifier. The non-linear characteristic of power amplifier did modeling with AM-to-AM and AM-to-PM, and we analyzed an output spectrum characteristic along phase distortion composed input signal supply for power amplifier. When output spectrum analysis results phase distortion increased, and an AM-to-PM characteristic of power amplifier in 5 degrees, the output spectrum was satisfied with a demand spectrum in P1 dB, but 10-20 degrees were able to confirm what cannot be satisfied with a demand spectrum in phase distortion. Also, an output spectrum of power amplifier by frequency re-growth generated by a non-linear characteristic of power amplifier did not satisfied in P1dE. therefore, a back-off value was requested according to an AM-to-PM distortion degree, and smaller back-off value were able to know what demand became in case of modulation section that used OFDM.

  • Ultra Wide Band (UWB) system uses wide band signal, which power spectral density is over all band, It likes as a noise floor, so UWB system can be used without interfering with other communication system. For the first time, we adopted Rayleigh mono pulse antipodal signal which had symmetric characteristic and zero mean. With the power spectral density using stochastic process, we knew that the antipodal signaling scheme removed discrete spectrum and concluded that this had much better spectral suppression, probability of error and data rate than PPM (Pulse Positioning Modulation).

  • Recently, a spectrum sensing technique employing the maximum value of a received power spectrum as a test statistic has been presented in the literature for the purpose of detecting a wireless microphone signal in TV bands This detects the presence of a primary user by comparing the test statistic with some threshold, which depends on the background noise power level as well as a target false alarm rate. Therefore its performance may deteriorate when the noise power uncertainty occurs. As a means to mitigate this difficulty, we present a spectrum sensing strategy adopting the ratio of the maximum and the minimum value of the power spectrum as a test statistic and analyze its performance of spectrum sensing.

  • This paper analyzes the spectral power properties of various time hopping UWB signals and shows that the power spectral densities of the various signals could have to be determined by the PSD of the pulse used in the signal. The pulse design method by which the FCC emission mask can be utilized fully is proposed. The method combines the arbitrary derivative Gaussian pulse linearly. The coefficients of the linear combination are calculated by the LSE(Least Square Error) method. Various parameters such as the number of coefficients and the types of the basic pulses are considered when calculating the PSD and pulse shapes of the new pulses.

  • 한정된 주파수 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안된 초광대역 통신 시스템은 전 주파수 대역에 걸쳐 스펙트럼이 마치 기저 대역 잡음과 유사한 형태로 존재하여 타 통신 시스템에 간섭을 주지 않고 고속의 통신이 가능하며 반송파를 사용하지 않기 때문에 송 수신기의 소비 전력과 그 구조론 간략화 시킬 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 펄스 위치 방식(Pulse Positioning Modulation : PPM)은 주파수 스펙트럼 상에 불연속 전력 스펙트럼 성분이 존재하여 시스템의 효율을 저하된다. 본 논문에서는 불연속 전력 스펙트럼 성분이 발생하지 않고, 유클리드 거리가 최대가 될 수 있는 Antipodal 신호를 제안한다. 또한, 고주파 시뮬레이터인 Agilent 사의 Advanced Design System을 사용하여 Antipodal 신호를 이용한 변 복조기를 설계하여 구현 및 적용 가능성을 보였다.

  • 위상이 불규칙적으로 변하는 RZ와 NRZ 신호에 대하여 전력 밀도 스펙트럼을 구하였고 신호의 펄스폭 점유율은 가변으로 하였다. 이때 불규칙 위상의 확률분포는 구간 내에서 일정하다고 가정한다. 단극성 지터없는 신호는 입력된 신호의 기본 주파수의 정수배마다 스펙트럼의 이산성분이 존재하며 이 것은 데이터를 찾기 위한 타이밍 신호로써 이용된다. 그러나 지터가 유입되는 경우에는 이 이산 신호성 분이 점차 감소하게 되며, 균일한 확률 분포를 갖는 지터의 경우는 완전히 소멸하였음을 확인하였다.

  • 영벡터로 V(000)이 적용된 종전의 2상 RCD-PWM(Random Centered Distribution PWM)은 변조지수 M이 1에 가까울수록, 모터 전압 및 전류 스펙트럼의 광대역화 효과가 증가되지 않는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 M에 따라서 영벡터를 선택하는 2상 MZRCD(Multi-Zero Vectors RCD)기법을 제안하였다. 2상 MZRCD기법은 M이 0.7보다 크게되면 영벡터로 V(111)을 선택하고, 작은 경우에는 V(000)을 선택하여, M의 전 영역에 걸쳐서 스펙트럼의 광대역화를 이룰 수 있는 방법이다. 본 연구의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여 Matlab simulink에 의하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. M의 변화에 따른 모터 전압 및 전류의 스펙트럼을 검토하였으며, M과 무관하게 모터 전압 및 전류 스펙트럼이 광대역으로 선형화된 분포를 얻을 수 있었다.

Organ Recognition in Ultrasound images Using Log Power Spectrum (로그 전력 스펙트럼을 이용한 초음파 영상에서의 장기인식)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for organ recognition in ultrasound images using log power spectrum. The main procedure of the algorithm consists of feature extraction and feature classification. In the feature extraction, as a translation invariant feature, log power spectrum is used for extracting the information on echo of the organs tissue from a preprocessed input image. In the feature classification, Mahalanobis distance is used as a measure of the similarity between the feature of an input image and the representative feature of each class. Experimental results for real ultrasound images show that the proposed algorithm yields the improvement of maximum 30% recognition rate than the recognition algorithm using power spectrum and Euclidean distance, and results in better recognition rate of 10-40% than the recognition algorithm using weighted quefrency complex cepstrum.

  • Today, Internet service is a most important Information Source. So, the Power Line Communication has been achieved to offer Internet service to Last-Mile area. But, Power Line is not suitable for communication, So, electromagnetic wave is generated from Power Line during flow of communication information. And the electromagnetic wave is interfered with Wireless Communication Service using the same frequency range. In this paper, the Notch Filter and the Spectrum Sensing technology are proposed to reduction of interference between Power Line Communication and Wireless Communication Service. The Spectrum Sensing technology is the core technology of the Cognitive Radio (CR) system. CR is the technology that temporarily allocates the frequency bandwidth by scanning surrounding wireless environments to keep licensed terminals and search the unused frequency bandwidth. The proposed emulator is implemented with Spectrum Sensing and Notch Filter system using Embedded Board.

  • The power spectrum of jittered pulse train is derived for the independent stationary pulse sequence with a stationary Gaussian phase jitter. For the unipolar pulse train signal, it is shown that as the phase jitter increases, the continuous Part of the power spectrum increases chile the discrete part decreases.
