A Comparative Analysis of Strategic Plans in University Libraries (대학도서관의 전략적 계획 내용 분석 -미국, 영국, 캐나다, 호주 대학도서관을 중심으로)

  • University libraries have been facing challenges to accomplish both roles of traditional libraries as physical places and virtual libraries which service electronic resources effectively. University libraries need to establish a strategic plan as a positive tool for designing the future of university libraries addressing threats and opportunities at the same time. This study suggested the core elements be involved in strategic plans of university libraries through comparatively analyzing the actual documents of strategic plans of academic libraries in America, England, Canada and Australia. These strategic plans were divided into formal elements and content elements. In addition, this study presented the latest strategic plans of academic libraries such as UMI. OULS, UBCL, and USL. As a result of research, this study provided the directions and basic materials in order to establish strategic planning at university libraries in Korea.

  • The University of Northern iowa Rod Library has mission statement that a personalized learning environment founded on the strong liberal arts curriculum and to supporting an intellectually and culturally diverse community. The Rod Library has been developing the strategic plans by 5 years since 1987 Recently, the strategy has been faced need to measure of performance how much does make it up. This study developed the BSC model and the strategy map that analyze the strategic plan 2004-2009 of the University of Northern iowa Rod library and transfer the strategy into the four perspectives of BSC. In addition, this study presented the success performance indicators measuring the strategic goals of each perspectives and the cause-effect model driving the lead indicators of performance.

A Study on The Correlations between Strategies of Technological Problem Solving and Variables related with Self-Regulation of Students in Engineering College (공과대학생의 기술적 문제해결 전략과 자아조절 관련 변인과의 상관 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlations between technological problem solving strategies and variables related with self-regulation of students in engineering college. The subjects for this study are 120 students from engineering college. After using the problem solving strategy task and self-regulation questionnaire, they were classified into two groups, upper 25% group and bottom 25% group. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 10.0 for windows. The statistical technique used for data analysis was Pearson's correlation coefficient and t-test. The major conclusions of this study are as follows. Frist, there is positive correlation between strategies of design and self-efficacy & planning. Second, there is positive correlation between strategies of trouble shooting and self-monitoring, planning and effort. Third, especially self-efficacy, one of the self-regulation subvariables, directly affects on technological problem solving strategies.

  • After the IMF bailout, the Environment of Domestic Construction Industry had changed dramatically. Before the IMF, Domestic Construction Firms are secured by the government regulations and some traditional practices. However, due to the following reasons: a decrease in public works, an increase in uncertainty of market prediction, the change of bid system, and increase in construction firms, recently the competition among construction firms has became keen. Under the serious competition, in order that medium-size construction firms survive in the construction market, it is need to establish the strategy that could increase productivity. In order to establish the strategy, firstly, construction firms should set up an appraisal standard of construction firms. Consequently, This study will introduce companies' objective appraisal in domestic construction market as well as basal data for setting-up strategy through adaptation industry structure analysis of business administration for strategic group analysis and a company which has lagged behind competitive power among the competitive companies can choose a target strategic group which should be pursued it in the future through being classified according to a group taken analogical strategy.

Development of Integrated Traffic Control of Dynamic Merge and Lane Change at Freeway Work Zones in a Connected and Automated Vehicle Environment (자율협력주행차 환경의 고속도로 공사구간 동적합류 및 차로변경 통합제어전략 개발)

  • A bottleneck and congestion occur when a freeway is closed due to maintenance and construction activities on the freeway. Although various traffic managements have been developed to improve the traffic efficiency at freeway work zones, such as merge control, there is a limit to those controls with human drivers. On the other hand, the wireless communication of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) enables the operation of advanced traffic management. This study developed a traffic control strategy that integrates Dynamic Merge Control (DMC) and Lane Change Control (LCC) in a CAV environment. DMC operates as an either early or late merge based on the occupancy rate of upstream of the work zone. The LCC algorithm determines the number of vehicles that need to change their lane to balance the traffic volume on open lanes. The simulation results showed that integrated control improves the cumulative vehicle count, average speed upstream, and average network travel time.

충북 U-Health 제품의 효율적 시장진입을 위한 마케팅 전략

  • 국가 간의 자유무역협정을 통한 세계 경제는 통합화를 추구하고, 이러한 결과로 국가 또는 기업 간의 경쟁이 점점 가속화되고 있다. 시대적 Paradigm은 세계 경제의 통합과 경쟁 방식의 변화이며, 이러한 가운데 소비자들은 건강과 Wellbeing에 대한 관심이 혁신적으로 증대되고 있다. 특히 U-Health의 필요성 증대, 지속적인 U-Health 시장 수요의 증가의 전망되고 있으며 고령화 사회로 접어들면서 건강관리 비용이 GDP의 7% 상회할 것으로 예측되고 있다. 따라서 국가는 국가 경쟁력을 위해, 지역은 지역 경쟁력을 위해 U-Health 산업의 육성을 간과할 수 없다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 충북 지역의 독자적 생존노력 강화 차원에서 차별적인 U-Health 서비스의 우수 브랜드 개발을 통하여 지역 경제활성화 방안을 연구하고자 한다. 먼저 충북 지역은 U-Health 분야의 Power Brand 제정을 통한 충북 지역의 U-Health분야의 독자적 경쟁력을 구축할 수 있다. 그렇게 하기 위해서는 U-Health 제품에 대한 효율적 마케팅전략 전개 필요하다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 SWOT 분석을 통한 경쟁력 확보 전략, STP 분석을 통한 지역 산업화 전략, Marketing Mix 전략을 통한 산업의 활성화 전략을 연구하였다.

A Study on The Art of War's strategy and its modern application (손자병법의 전략과 그 현대적 응용에 관한 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the 'strategy' of Sunzi's art of war and verifies the modern application value of it by combining the 'strategy' of the art of war with modern enterprise management. The army adopts 'war strategy' with the aim of minimizing the loss and sacrifice caused by the war and winning in the shortest time. Enterprise aims to maximize profits at the lowest cost and adopt 'business strategy'. Three factors of art of war's strategic, the 'power', 'adaptation', 'trickery', are similar to the 'internal resources analysis', 'external environment analysis' and 'information management' of the modern enterprise's management. In the process of establishing strategic plan, the art of war emphasizes 'strategy of winning' including 'prophet', 'estimates' and 'maneuvering', in the modern enterprise management, 'prophet' is shown as 'competitor analysis' of the '3C analysis' and 'benchmarking learning'. 'Estimates' is shown as 'SWOT analysis' and '4P's analysis'. 'Maneuvering' is shown as 'market positioning strategy' and 'market preemption strategy'. In the stage of implementing the strategy, 'surprise attack strategy', 'strategy of void and actuality' and 'dividing and integrating strategy' of the art of war are shown as follows in modern enterprises ; 'Surprise attack strategy' is shown as 'differentiation strategy' and 'concentration strategy', 'Strategy of void and actuality' is shown as 'information management' and 'rational market positioning strategy'. 'Dividing and integrating strategy' is shown 'diversification strategy', 'concentration strategy', 'change management', 'basic competition strategy', 'synergy effect' and etc. In terms of strategic results, the 'victory of war' of the art or war is shown as 'competitive advantage' and 'maximization of profits' in modern enterprise management strategy. In a word, although there are different names and expressions between the strategy of Sunzi's art of war and modern enterprise, but their connotation is the same. We can see that the art of war which was written in about B.C.500, has left a high utilization value for modern enterprise in rapid environmental change and intense competition.

Characterization Strategies for Establishing City/County Records Centers in Kyonggi Region (특성화에 기반한 시.군 자료관 설립 방안 연구 - 경기도를 사례로 -)

  • The records centers which belong to specific cities(-shi) or counties(-gun) are different in terms of constituencies and functions with the records centers of any other administrative agencies. The purpose of this study is to develop models of establishing the city/county records centers reflecting the recordkeeping environment of cities and counties especially located in Kyonggi Region. This present paper begins with analyzing the conditions of records management of cities and counties in Kyonggi Region, and the characterized functions of them. Based on these analyses, it suggests standardized procedures and characterization strategies for establishing city/county records centers.

  • According to the 2004 Sloan Consortium Report, distance education is the fastest growing sector of higher education. This study suggests a research model, based on an e-Learning success model, the relationship of the e-learner's self-regulated learning strategy, computer self-efficacy, and system quality perception of the e-Learning environment. As a result, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and service quality effect on e-learner's satisfaction. In addition to, self-regulated learning strategy based on computer self-efficacy is also important variable regarding e-learner's satisfaction.

  • 제주지역의 대표적인 공립예술단이라고 할 수 있는 제주특별자치도립예술단 소속 교향악단과 합창단을 중심으로, 지역 공립예술단을 활성화하기 위한 체계적인 마케팅 기법 도입방안을 제시하고자 한다. 더 나아가서 향후 다른 장르의 공연예술 분야에도 적용할 수 있는 마케팅 전략의 이론적 틀을 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 공연 관람객을 대상으로 설문조사와 면접을 실시하고 공연 마케팅의 5대 요인(제품전략, 가격전략, 장소전략, 촉진전략, 고객전략)과 공연 관람객이 인식하는 공연 활성화 요인(공연 만족도, 타인 추천의향, 재관람 의향)과의 상관관계를 살펴봄으로써 마케팅 전략적 측면에서 제주공연예술단의 활성활 방안을 모색하기 위한 이론적 근거를 제시해보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 가설검증 결과를 요약하면 공연 활성화에 영향을 끼치는 마케팅 전략 요인은 제품전략과 가격전략, 그리고 고객전략이었다. 제품전략과 관련해서는 '공연작품 및 작가', '공연단체 및 출연진의 유명도' 그리고 '공연의 예술성과 흥행성'을 고려해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 가격전략에서는 관객들이 입장료 '할인혜택'과 '적정한 가격이라는 느낌'을 갖도록 하는 것이 중요하며, 고객전략에서는 공연 이외에도 꾸준한 '고객관리'와 '공연정보 제공' 그리고 '공연체험', '공연시간 준수' 등이 주요 고려사항이었다.
