전동차 유지보수를 위한 BOM 체계 구축에 관한 (A Study on BOM System Constructing for Rolling Stock Maintenance)

  • The most important part of RIMS(Rolling Stock Information Maintenance System) project is to construct BOM(Bill of Material). BOM is a listing or description of raw materials, parts, and assemblies that define a product. To construct BOM for RIMS is not a easy task due to several reasons such as data base scale and flexibility, proper integration between physical BOM and functional BOM, interoperability with other systems, etc. In this study we show several principles that Seoul Metro takes to get over the difficulties mentioned above. Based on these principles we propose the methodology Seoul Metro employs to construct BOM efficiently. We also discuss the applicability of BOM in several fields.

  • We analyze the real-field operational results of the RIMS. Four aspects are considered; 1) economical, 2) managerial, 3) safety and reliability and 4) RIMS user evaluation. In economical aspect we investigate the fields where some economical gains are anticipated. In managerial aspect the efficiency and effectiveness of management through RIMS are investigated. The improvement of safety and reliability are qualitatively discussed. And RIMS user evaluation is performed through survey. We also suggest several conditions for the successful settlement of RIMS and future study area for RIMS to be more reliable and perfect.

  • There are many types of BOM in the industrial world. Types of BOM include EBOM, MBOM, As-Built BOM, As-Designed BOM, Generic BOM, Customized BOM, etc. We should define an adequate BOM for a given need or application. In this paper, we proposed BOM structure for EMU Maintenance Information System. The proposed BOM structure is composed of Location BOM, Equipment BOM, and Maintenance BOM. Location BOM is functional structure for someone to achieve specific works. Equipment BOM is a bill of an independent object to be repaired, and maintained. Maintenance BOM includes all parts to compose Equipment BOM. The BOM structure will be applied to configure sales orders, explode aggregate forecasts, and calculate standard cost.
