Electric utility companies have the responsibility of providing good electricity for their customers. They have introduced the DAS(Distribution Automation System) to automate the power distribution networks. DAS engineers require state-of-the-art applications, such as a way to actively manage the distribution system and gain economic benefits from a flexible DAS architectural design. The existing DAS is not capable of handling these needs. It requires operator intervention whenever feeder overloading is detected while operator error could cause the feeder overload area to be extended. It also utilizes a closed architecture and it is therefore difficult to meet the system migration and future enhancement requirements. This paper represents a web based, platform-independent, flexible DAS architectural design and active database application. Recent advanced Internet technologies are fully utilized in this new DAS architecture allowing it to meet the system migration and future enhancement requirements. By using an active database, the DAS can minimize the feeder overloading area in the distribution system without operator intervention, thereby minimizing mistakes due to operator error.

This paper presents a cycloconverter with an LC resonant circuit for an induction motor drive. The cycloconverter can keep input displacement factor at 1.0 by independently controlling real and reactive power under any load conditions. Furthermore it can keep power factor at about 1.0 since input and output current waveforms are nearly sinusoidal. Since it uses high frequency resonant circuit for commutation source, it can produce an output voltage of hundreds of hertz. Since it is also possible to make a system of high capacity using the cycloconverter, it is appropriate to drive motors with high speed and high capacity as well as general purpose motors, In this paper, we describe the operating principles of the cycloconverter and power control algorithms, and analyze its waveforms and present its characteristics. Expermental results are shown for the volts/hertz control of the induction motor and the validity of the proposed model is verified.

The mean shift algorithm has achieved considerable success in object tracking due to its simplicity and robustness. It finds local maxima of a similarity measure between the color histograms of the target and candidate image. However, the mean shift tracking algorithm using only color histograms has a serious defect. It doesn't use the spatial information of the target. Thus, it is difficult to model the target more exactly. And it is likely to lose the target during the occlusions of other objects which have similar color distributions. To deal with these difficulties we use both color information and spatial information of the target. Our proposed algorithm is robust to occlusions and scale changes in front of dynamic, unstructured background. In addition, our proposed method is computationally efficient. Therefore, it can be executed in real-time.

In this paper, sun tracking system using Sun position sensor is proposed, the sun tracking system designed as which raises the efficiency of solar power generation. It design the structure being simple and it develops the system which is economical efficiency. It develops the hazard technique such as location tracking method of the sun which uses the sensor and to use the motor solar cell module movement. The Sun tracking system makes the drive in order to do with one axis and to use the sensor and to know in order to put out, the location of the sun and it makes. To make the solar location tracking sensor where the structure is simple it used two solar cells.

This paper presents a buck circuit topology of high-frequency with a single switching element. It solved the problem which arised from hard-switching in high-frequency using a resonant snubber and operating under the principle of ZCS turn-on and ZVS turn-off commutation schemes. In the existing circuit, it has the voltage stress which is twice of input voltage in free-wheeling diode. But in the proposed circuit, it has voltage stress which is lower than input voltage with modifing a location of free-wheeling diode. In this paper, it explained the circuit operation of each mode and confirmed the waveform of each mode with simulation result. Also the experiment result verified the simulation waveform and compared the existing voltage stress of free-wheeling diode with the proposed voltage stress of that. Moreover, it compares and analyzes the proposed circuit's efficiency with the hard-switching circuit's efficiency according to the change of load current.

국내에서 CBP전력시장이 운영된지 벌써 7년이 흘렀다. 그간 많은 개선을 통해 한국 전력산업의 고유 특성을 반영한 전력시장으로 발전해왔다. 타 산업에서의 시장과 달리 실시간으로 발생하는 전력계통의 제약을 반영하면서 수많은 데이터를 처리해야하는 특성으로 인해 전력시장은 IT기술의 발전과 동행해 왔다고 할 수 있다. 특히 이렇게 복잡한 실시간 시장을 감시하고 분석할 수 있는 기법 및 IT시스템은 전력시장을 운영하는 모든 나라에서 지속적으로 발전해왔으며, 향후에도 계속 발전해 갈 것이다. 우리나라도 이제 안정단계에 접어든 전력시장을 더욱 발전시키기 위해서는 전력시장을 감시하고 분석할 수 있는 다양한 기법 및 IT시스템의 발전이 필수적일 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 이번 전력거래소에서 구축한 전력시장 종합분석시스템은 우리나라의 전력시장 발전에 커다란 의미가 있다.

This study investigated the detection of corona discharge on polymer insulators at 13.2kV. Also, It will be analyzed by variety analyzers such as FT-IR, TA, and so on. It carried out an experiment and an actual measurement about corona detection using a UV-camera. This experiment and inspection would need to respect the above criteria. It was required to verify various experimental conditions and on-site inspection afterwards, but it was believed to minimize the measurement error by data-basing research results in a continuous manner and it was necessary to establish diagnosis technologies and standards in various electrical power facilities.

This paper describes humanoid eye drive system. The eye drive system has been developed by using more than two motors for operating 2 degree-of-freedom. It needs to accomplish purpose for operating the robot eye like movement of the human eye. However it makes problems that it increases energy consumption and requires relatively large space of operating system. Thus it needs technology to minimize and have high efficiency. This paper introduces the adequacy of perviously eye drive system. And it shows research value of the spherical motor system.

본 논문에서는 VDTA를 이용하여 플로팅 인덕터를 구현하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 [3]에서 사용하고 있는 방법을 개선하여 더 적은 수의 회로를 이용하여 양 기능 인덕터를 구현함으로써 변환방법이 용이하고 회로의 면적과 소비전력을 줄일 수 있는 방법이다. 2장에서는 VDTA에 대한 기본적인 개념과 새로운 양기능 인덕터의 구조제안 및 새롭게 제안한 능동 인덕터를 이용하여 2차 2MHz의 중간주파수를 갖는 대역통과 설계하고 그 유용성을 확인하였다. 2MHz의 중심주파수를 가지는 대역통과 필터와 그 필터의 특성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 나타내었다. 그리고 3장에서 결론지었다.

An estimator for a discrete nonlinear system is derived in the sense of minimum mean square error. An optimal estimator for nonlinear system is very difficult to find and it will be infinite dimensional even if it is found. It has been known that the statistical linearization technique makes it possible to obtain a finite dimensional estimator. In this paper, the procedure of its derivation using the statistical linearization technique that gives an exact mean and variance information is introduced in the sense of minimum mean square error. The derived estimator cannot be clainmed to be globally optimal estimator because it uses the Gaussian assumption to the non-Gaussian distributed nonlinear output. However, the proposed filter exhibits a better performance compared to extended Kalman filter. Simulation results of a simple example present the improvement of the proposed filter in convergent property over the extended Kalman filter.
