An Experimental Study on the Stress Distribution in Steel Box Girder Bridge (강박스거더교의 응력분배 거동에 관한 실측연구)

  • It is important to increase the economy and efficiency of the diaphragm of the steel box girder bridge design. In this study, an experimental test is performed in a 4-span steel box girder bridge, which was under constructed according to the dead load of slab concrete and vehicle load. The test result is analyzed to verify the stress distribution of the diaphragm and the middle span. Next, stresses on the vertical stiffener are analyzed according to height. Stresses on the diaphragm with equal height are arranged respectively. Also, the stress distribution of the diaphragm and the middle span. Next, stress on the vertical stiffeners are analyzed according to height. Stresses on the diaphragm with equal height are arranged respectively. Also, the vertical stiffeners in the diaphragm was studied, and using the analyzed results, the proper length of the ratio of vehicle load with curing concrete to vehicle load with asphalt is calculated in each part of the steel box girder bridge. The results provide data that serve as basis for an economical and efficient design for the steel box girder bridge diaphragm.

Development of Image Quality Enhancement of a Digital Camera with the Application of Exposure To The Right Exposure Method (ETTR 노출 방법을 활용한 디지털 카메라의 화질 향상)

  • Raw files record luminance values corresponds to each pixel of a digital camera sensor. In digital imaging, controlling exposure to capture the first highlight stop is important on linear-distribution of raw file characteristic. This study sought to verify the efficiency of ETTR method and found the optimum over-exposure amount to maintain the first highlight stop to be the largest number of levels. This was achieved by over-exposing a scene with a raw file and converting it to under-exposure in a raw file converting software. Our paper verified the efficiency of ETTR by controlling the exposure range and ISOs. Throughout the results, if exposure increases gradually 6 steps, dynamic range is also increased. And it shows that the optimized exposure value is around + $1\frac{2}{3}$ stop over compared to the normal exposure with the high ISOs simultaneously. We compared visual noise value at $1\frac{2}{3}$ stop to the normal exposure visual noise. Based on the normal exposure's visual noise, we can confirm that visual noise decrement is increased by increasing ISOs. In this experimental result, we confirm that overexposure about + $1\frac{2}{3}$ stop is the optimum value to make the widest dynamic range and lower visual noise in high ISOs. Based on the study results, we can provide the effective ETTR information to consumers and manufacturers. This method will contribute to the optimum image performance in maximizing dynamic range and minimizing noise in a digital imaging.

  • 상수도 관망해석에 있어 수요량 추정 방법은 자료의 형태와 관망해석의 정확도 추구 정도 등에 따라 다양한 방법으로 추정할 수 있다. 통상 상수도관망해석을 수행할 때에 사용되는 수요량추정 방법은 과거사용량을 추세분석하여 장래 계획에 필요한 목표연도까지의 원단위를 산정하고 이 자료를 바탕으로 행정구역상 동단위나 병합계량구역(Block system)단위까지 수요량을 산출한 후 수요량 산출 구역 내 해석 관망상에 위치하는 격점 또는 관로에 적정한 수요량을 분배하는 방법을 사용한다. 결국 산정된 수요량 자료는 행정동 단위나, 병합계량구역 단위 정도의 수요량을 산출하고, 해당 구역내에 분포하는 관망 구성상 절점수에 따라 등분하여 배분하거나, 절점이 담당하는 면적별로 수요량을 산출하여 관망해석을 실시하게 된다. 이러한 방법은 작업시간이 오래 걸리고 수요량 추정 단위에 따라 정확도가 달라지는 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 인천시를 대상으로 MIKE-NET 프로그램에서 제공하고 있는 수요량 배분 기능을 이용하여 각 절점의 수요량을 배분하는 방법과 기존 수요량 배분 방법을 비교함으로 수요량 적용 방법이 배수관망해석에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • 최근에 새로운 미래기술로 대두되고 있는 V2G시스템은 EV의 배터리 전력 판매를 통해 부하의 분배 방안을 제시한다. 이러한 V2G시스템은 EV 소유자에게 비용을 발생하게 하며, 대표적으로 EV 배터리의 열화비용 및 충전비용 그리고 본 논문에서 제시한 EV 정지 비용이 발생한다. 이러한 비용은 전력 판매 수익으로 보상 받을 수 있으며. 사례연구에서는 전력 판매 가격을 SMP로 적용하였다. 사례연구 결과 SMP만으로는 EV 소유자의 편익 발생이 어려우며, 비용과 편익의 차를 보상하기 위한 적정 지원금을 비롯한 수익 보정 방안에 대한 추가연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 관개용수로에서의 용수공급에 따른 용수분배 현상을 모의하고, 개선방안을 제시하기 위한 시뮬레이션 모형을 개발하였다. 관개용수로와 같은 인공적인 수로에서는 흐름의 상태가 취수공, 분수공, 수문 등과 같은 수리시설의 조작에 의해 흐름이 시간적, 공간적으로 변하게 되는 비정상류가 주가 된다. 이러한 비정상류 해석은 농업용수 관리를 위한 관개계획 수립, 농업용 수리시설물의 설계 및 관리에 있어서 중요한 요인이 된다. 용수로의 부정류 해석을 위한 유한차분식으로 구성되는 모형을 개발하여 용수로를 일정구간으로 분할하여 각 구간별 수위와 유속의 변화를 계산하게 된다. 계산된 결과는 현장에서 실측된 수위모니터링 자료와 현장 유량측정자료로 비교하여 모형의 적정성을 검정하였다. 용수로내의 흐름에 대하여 각 구간의 용수도달시간, 관개블록에 대한 분수유량을 산정한 결과는 현장 측정자료와 잘 일치하고 있는 것으로 나타나 관개계획을 수립하는 데 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • CSP(Concurrent Spare Parts) is supplied with the procurement of new equipment or weapon system and is used to sustain the equipment without resupply during the initial coverage period. This study is concerned with a problem of determining the near optimal inventory level of the spare parts, especially Concurrent Spare Parts. For this, we utilize the mixed periodic and continuous review polices considering the CSP and (r,Q) Policies concurrently in a two-echelon distribution system. We propose the mathematical model to minimize the total cost which is composed with ordering cost, purchasing cost, holding cost, and stickout cost. If the mixed policy is compared to other policies(CSP, (r,Q)), the proposed methodology performs well and is best policy in the equipment maintenance expenses.

  • In this study, a computer simulation of the three types of air distribution systems, open type system, aisle partition system and aisle containment system, to evaluate the applicability of the aisle partition system on a data center server room. The variables of the simulation were the height and location of the partition fixed on the top server rack. The energy efficiency of the air distribution systems were confirmed to be excellent in the order of the aisle containment system, aisle partition system, and open type system. In the cold aisle partition system, the height of the partition that can be effective in saving cooling energy by obstructing sufficient air recirculation was found to be more than 0.9m. In the hot aisle partition system, the height of the partition was found to be more than 0.8m.

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of container size and substrate volume on the growth and fruit yield of hydroponically grown cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.) plants. Seeds were sown in plug tray filled with coir dust on Feb. 13, 1998. Seedlings with 5 to 6 true leaves were transplanted in $2{\ell},\;4{\ell},\;6{\ell},\;8{\ell}\;and\;10{\ell}$ plastic pots filled with perlite. Cucumber fruits were harvested with 1 to 2 days interval, and fresh weight, number of normal and malformed fruit were recorded. Plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaf area were highly depended on the container size. Total fresh weight and the number of fruit were increased with increasing container size. NAR(net assimilation rate) and CGR(crop growth rate) increased also with increasing the container size. Optimum container size for hydroponically grown cucumber plant using perlite was recommended as $8{\ell}$ per plant.

  • In this paper, a non-contact power transferring has been performed. Power Transferring by using an electromagnetic inductive coupling is more suitable for high power transmission than by using a magnetic resonance method. Power transferring system has been designed with Loading Distribution Method to divide the electric and magnetic loading for designing the magnetic core and electric coil. To design optimum shapes of magnetic yoke, 3D finite element analysis has been performed. Experimental results show good agreement with numerical ones. So, it could be adopted in the electric power transferring system for a short-distance wireless electric power transferring machine.

  • In this paper, we discuss the role of allocative efficiency and X-efficiency in determining resource allocation under the share tenency. Economic efficiency of resource allocation is related to land reform. Classical and neoclassical schools insist that land reform must be achieved for agricultural development by more efficient use of inputs. According to them, there is no incentive for tenants to use inputs until $MVP{\ell}=wage$ under the share tenancy. But "equal efficiency" school's conclusions are different. They conclude that there is no productivity differences between owner cultivation and share tenancy, owing to monopoly power of landlords and/or landlords's transaction costs. Considering X-efficiency, the share tenancy is not as efficient as the owner cultivation. On the other hand, the productivity differences may be reverse, in which landlords cultivate their lands by wage contracts. Land reform--reduction of land rent or redistribution of land--will be benefitable not only for agricultural development, but also for resource allocation in farm management.
