  • 감시 카메라에서 야간 시간대의 영상 품질은 매우 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 IR LED Camera 에서 적외선 LED 를 사용한 회로적 제어를 통한 노출 제어에 문제점을 분석하고, 이를 해결하기 위한 적응적 배경 모델링과 IR 카메라의 특화된 객체 검출 방법을 제안한다. 노출 제어 방식의 배경을 제외한 적응적 배경과 객체의 합성으로 향상된 야간 영상획득 방식을 제안한다. 영상 개선 실험 결과는 기존의 회로적 노출 제어 방식의 영상보다 제안하는 방식이 프로세스의 단순화를 통한 비용 절감 효과와 야간 영상 품질 향상의 우수성을 보여준다.

A Hybrid Method for Recognizing Existence of Power Lines in Infrared Images (적외선영상내 전력선 검출을 위한 하이브리드 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid image processing and deep learning-based method for detecting the presence of power lines in infrared images. Deep learning-based methods can learn feature vectors from a large number of data without much effort, resulting in outstanding performances in various fields. However, it is difficult to apply human intuition to the deep learning-based methods while image processing techniques can be used to apply human intuition. Based on these, we propose a method that exploits both advantages to detect the existence of power lines in infrared images. To this end, five methods have been applied and compared to find the most effective image processing technique for detecting the presence of power lines. As a result, the proposed method achieves 99.48% of accuracy which is higher than those of methods based on either image processing or deep learning.

  • As computer related technologies are developed, interests in augmented reality technologies are greatly increasing. Augmented reality is a technology that composes digital contents from the real input images through camera and it enables interaction with users. This study designed a directional marker using LED light that emits infrared ray, then, provided a detection algorithm and a marker information extraction method that can realize various virtual objects as augmented reality from one marker. The newly designed method provides a solution to settle the problems in existing marker technologies such as decrease of immersiveness and read rate and single information expression, and at the same time it can minimize the cost or time consumption in marker information storage.
