Humidity Sensitive Properties of Humidity Sensor using Quaternized Cross-linked Copolymers of Vinylbenzyl chloride (4차 염화 가교화된 Vinylbenzyl chloride 공중합체를 감습막으로 이용한 습도센서의 감습 특성)

  • The copolymers with various composition of vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) were synthesized as a humidity sensitive material and quaternized with N, N, N', N'-tetraethylene diamine.. Resistance versus relative humidity decreased with increase in the content of MMA in the copolymer. The introduction of HPMA increased the resistance of the humidity sensor as well as enhanced the adherence to the alumina substrate. In the case of VBC/MMA/HEMA=80/10/10, the hysteresis and temperature dependency coefficient were $\pm$2%RH and -0.46~0.42%RH/$^{\circ}C$. The average resistance at 30%RH, 60%RH and 90%RH were 3.0M$\Omega$ ,200k$\Omega$ and 9k$\Omega$, respectively.

  • Abstract The hot wire anemometer-type flow sensor, which consisted of Ni thin film resistors evaporated on Si substrates, was fabricated and characterized. It was known that the temperature coefficients of Ni resistors were decreased as the film thickness was thinned and the operating characteristics of the fabricated flow sensor were determined as a sensitivity of 111.3${\mu}$W/(${\ell}$ pm$)^{1/2}$ and a dynamic response time of several 10 seconds.

  • As modern industry go further, a rigid concrete pavement has been widely constructed. The load carrying capacity of the flexible asphalt pavements is brought about by a layered system, distributing the load over the subgrade, rather than by the bending action of the slab. On the other hand, the rigid pavement, because of its rigidity and high modulus of elasticity, tends to distribute the traffic load over wide subbases, and its capacity of the strength is supplied by the slab itself. Thus, it is necessary to study the structural behavior of concrete slab under the variations of temperature changes and applied traffic loads. It reguires the development of finite element analysis program for the concrete highway pavement, which provides better understanding of concrete pavement behavior and effective design data to highway engineers.

  • This paper presents characteristics of CrOx thin-film Strain gauge pressure sensors, which were deposited on SUS630 diaphragm by DC reactive magnetron sputtering in an argon-Oxide atmosphere(Ar-(10%)$O_2$). The optimized condition of CrOx thin-film strain gauges were thicknessrange of 2500$\AA$ and annealing condition ($350^{\circ}C$, 3 hr) in Ar-10 %$O_2$deposition atmosphere. Under optimum conditions, the CrOx thin-films for strain gauge is obtained a high resistivity, $\rho$=156.7$\mu$$\Omega$cm, a low temperature coefficiect of resistance, TCR=-86 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ and a high temporal stability with a good longitudinal, 15. The output sensitivity of pressure sensor obtained is 2.46㎷/V and the maximum non-linearity is 0.3%FS and hysteresis is less than 0.2%FS. The output characteristics of pressure transmitter obtained is 4~20㎃ and total accuracy is less than $\pm$0.5%FS. In those conclusions, CrOx thin film pressure sensors is quite satisfactory for many applications in industrial electronics.

  • In recent years, development of energy conversion systems using hydrogen as an energy source has been accelerated globally. Even though hydrogen is an environment-friendly energy source, safety and effectiveness issues in storage, transportation, and usage of hydrogen should be clearly resolved in every application. Therefore, sensors for detecting hydrogen leakage, especially for fuel cell electric vehicles, should be designed to have much higher resolution and accuracy in comparison with conventional gas sensors. In this study, we conducted to determine the design parameters for the semiconductor hydrogen sensor with optimized sensing conditions under the thermal distribution characteristic and thermal transfer characteristic. The heat generation study on power supply voltage was studied for correlation analysis of thermal energy according to the power supply voltage variation from 1.0 voltage to 10.0 voltage every 0.5 voltage. And we studied for the temperature coefficient of resistance with hydrogen sensor.

Carbon Dioxide Absorption in a Packed Column Using Guanidine-based Superbase Solution (구아니딘계 초염기 흡수제에 의한 충진탑에서의 이산화탄소 포집 특성)

  • The study of $CO_2$ absorption in a packed column by 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidine (TMG) dissolved in ethylene glycol is presented. Absorption column of inner diameter 1 in and 0.6 m length was filled with Protruded-packing $0.16in{\times}0.16in$. We investigated the effect of operating conditions on overall mass transfer coefficients as well as on $CO_2$ removal efficiency. The loading values reached at about $1.0mol_{CO2}/mol_{TMG}$. In case of absorbent with lean $CO_2$ loading, the overall mass transfer coefficient was proportional to the concentration of TMG. However, in the range of more than ${\alpha}=0.5molCO_2/molTMG$, the overall mass transfer coefficients decreased with the concentration of TMG. It is due to the increasing of mass transfer resistance in liquid phase as increasing of viscosity at higher loading values.

  • 유체유동이나 열전달 그리고 물질전달 (물질의 혼합 및 확산) 또는 이들 현상이 복합적으로 나 타나는 각종 기계의 설계와 성능 해석을 하기 위해서는 그 현상을 지배하는 편미분 방정식들의 해를 수치적으로 구해야 한다. 유동 상태가 충류 유동인 경우는 지배 방정식의 수가 알고자 하는 미지변수 즉 속도, 압력, 온도, 농도 등의 개수와 같고 또한 이들 변수들의 변동이 그리 심하지 않기 때문에 적절한 수치 해법을 사용하면 그 해를 구할 수 있다. 그러나 난류유동의 경우에는 변수들이 시간상으로 또한 공간적으로 대단히 심하게 변동(fluctuation)하기 때문에 공 학적으로 우리가 원하는 정보들, 즉, 표면 마찰저항이나 양력, 얼전달 계수, 물질 확산계수 등을 현재 수준의 전자계산기로 계산하는 데는 계산시간이 엄청나게 소요될 뿐만 아니라 변수 저장 메모리도 과도하게 차지하기 때문에 실제적인 계산 방법이 되지 못하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 변수들의 순간 변화 상태를 나타내는 지배 방정식들을 해석하는 대신에 이들 지배 방정식의 시 간평균을 취하여 유도한 난류 방정식들을 사용하게 된다. 그러나 이 시간 평균 과정에서 파생 되는 또 다른 미지의 난류 변수들 때문에 난류 지배 방정식에 있어서는 그 지배 방정식의 개수 보다 미지 변수의 개수가 많아져서 난류 지배 방정식을 풀기 위해서는 시간평균 과정에서 나타난 난류 변수들을 원래 있던 미지 변수들의 함수나 방정식의 형태로 가정할 필요가 있게 되는데 이 가정되는 함수 관계들을 난류 계산 모형이라고 한다. 난류 계산 모형은 물리적인 통찰과 직관에 의해서 실용적인 형태로 가정되기도 하지만 최근에는 논리적으로 엄격한 모형 원칙에 따른 수 학적인 방법으로 유도되고 있는데 이 글에서는 일반 독자들이 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 마하수가 낮은 2차원 비압축성 난류 유동을 예로 들어 x-y 직교 좌표계에서 표현되는 난류 계산 모형들을 소개하고 앞으로듸 발전 방향을 개관하며 현재의 응용 사례들을 예로 들어 모형의 성능을 비교 하여 보기로 한다.

  • We have developed the measurement system for the high power laser The absorber is made of gold-plated copper cavity. The calibration heater is using a manganin(CuMn12Ni ; Isabellenhutte) coil, and output power is measured by using of resistance bridge with composed manganin and copper coil. Developed system can measure for 5∼1000w laser output power range. Calibration factors are 489.13 J/mV at 100W range and 489.13 J/mV at 500W range. Correction factors are 0.99 at 100W range and 1.006 at 500W range.

  • In this paper, the Chip-On-Flex (COF) assembly process using anisotropic conductive films (ACFs) was investigated and the reliability of COF assemblies using ACFs was evaluated. Thermo-mechanical properties of ACFs such as coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), storage modulus (E'), and glass transition temperature $(T_g)$ were measured to investigate the effects of ACF material properties on the reliability of COF assemblies using ACFs. In addition, the bonding conditions for COF assemblies using ACFs such as time, temperature, and pressure were optimized. After the COF assemblies using ACFs were fabricated with optimized bonding conditions, reliability tests were then carried out. According to the reliability test results, COF assemblies using the ACF which had lower CTE and higher $T_g$ showed better thermal cycling reliability. Consequently, thermo-mechanical properties of ACFs, especially $T_g$, should be improved for high thermal cycling reliability of COF assemblies using ACFs for compact camera module (CCM) applications.

Evaluation of Dry Tribological Characteristics of Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites with Temperature Rising (온도 상승에 따른 혼합금속복합재료의 건식 마찰특성 평가)

  • $Al_2O_3$ fiber and SiC particle hybrid metal matrix composites (MMCs) were manufactured by squeeze casting method investigated for their tribological properties. The pin specimens had different ratios of fiber to particle content but their total weight fraction was constant at 20 wt. %. Tribological tests were performed with a pin-on-disk friction and wear tester. The investigation of the dry tribological characteristics of hybrid MMCs were carried out at room temperature and elevated temperature of$100^{\circ}C$ and$150^{\circ}C$. The morphologies of worn surfaces were examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM) to observe tribological characteristics and investigate wear behavior. The results revealed that the wear resistance improved with the content of SiCp increased of the planar random (PR) MMCs at room temperature. At the elevated temperature, it revealed that the wear resistance of normal (N) MMCs was superior to that of the PR-MMCs due to PR-fibers were easily pulled out holistically from the worn surface. Meanwhile, the coefficient of friction decreased with the temperature increasing.
