A Close Examination of Unstability and a Quality Improvement using Anhydrous $Na_2CO_3$ in Waste Plastic's Thermal Pyrolysis Oil (폐플라스틱 열분해 재생유의 불안정한 요인 규명과 무수탄산나트륨으로 품질 향상)

  • Study on the instability of waste plastic's thermal pyrolysis oil was carried out for the purpose of improving its quality. The reaction of pyrolysis oil with ozone changed double bonds into aldehydes and ketone, estimated that HDPE pyrolysis oil contained $\sim45$ wt% 1-alkene type olefins, and PP pyrolysis oil did $\sim73$ wt% olefins, which consisted of $\sim47$ wt% secondary and $\sim20$ wt% primary alkenes. The dark brown color and odor of pyrolysis oil were improved by eliminating double bonds, indicated that they were directly related to unsaturated hydrocarbons. Container test showed that metal can affected oil quality worse than the brown glass bottle. Antioxidant added into pyrolysis oil was consumed up to 90% within $2\sim3$ days and the wt. composition of unsaturated hydrocarbons in pyrolysis oil was not changed within 50 days, inferring that instability of pyrolysis oil due to unsaturated bonds can be stabilized by antioxidants. Adsorption test on silica gel, activated carbon and alumina to remove precipitates in oil produced a good result, but not enough to remove moisture. However, cheap anhydrous sodium carbonate showed the best removal efficiency of moisture as well as precipitates in oil. Therefore the pyrolysis oil quality improvement was accomplished by applying anhydrous $Na_2CO_3$ into the production plant.

A Pilot Study for Development of the Serious Game Contents for Education in the Elderly Diabetes (노인 당뇨환자 교육용 기능성 게임 콘텐츠 개발을 위한 예비연구)

  • This study was a pilot test of serious educational game content(named Roly Poly 160) designed to enhance self-care by elderly diabetics. Roly Poly 160 was developed in eight steps (literature review, demand survey and consultation, extraction of serious content using games, development of Roly Poly 160, pretest for users, workshop for health care workers, final completion of Roly Poly 160 and user satisfaction survey of Roly Poly 160). Roly Poly 160 is intuitively structured in three modules (self-management, card games, and quiz games) that can be self-managed by the elderly and is designed based on six principles. First, we constructed an intuitive interface considering the age of users. Second, the menu was selected as the main menu for Koreans and calorie learning was made at the same time. Third, the calories and nutrients (carbohydrate, fat, protein, calcium, sodium) of selected foods are analyzed, and all test data recorded in the questionnaire chart are graphically displayed by year, month and week so that the change trends can be grasped at a glance. Fourth, necessary data were saved and output and used as educational data. Fifth, user data are made compatible and aggregated and up to 100 million members can be registered. Sixth, it is designed to be developed as a mobile app if necessary. Using Roly Poly 160, 119 diabetic patients were diagnosed with diabetes, and the satisfaction score was 4.26 out of 5. These findings indicate that Roly Poly 160 is appropriate as a diabetes self-care tool and suggests that there is a possibility to use it as a program to educate people about diabetes in public health centers, hospitals and clinics.

  • 최근의 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 환경은 단일 환경에서 작게는 2~4CPU, 많게는 수백 CPU 이상의 시스템으로 구축되고 있고, 더욱이 지역적으로도 멀리 떨어져 있다. 따라서 이를 운용하는 기업에서는 시스템의 사용 현황을 신속하게 분석할 필요가 있다. 그러나 이렇게 혼재된 이 기종 및 컴퓨팅 환경하에서의 각 지역별 시스템 사용현황을 효과적으로 분석 한다는 것은 매우 어려운 일이다. 기존에 사용되어 온 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 환경에서의 사용율 관리 방법들은 Queueing 시스템이 가지고 있는 Accounting 분석 명령어로 text 형태의 Accounting raw data 의 결과를 추출하여 가공 처리하므로 데이터 증가 시 반응 속도가 현격하게 느려지는 상황이 발생한다. 또한 원격지 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 군의 사용율 분석은 데이터 분석 시 매번 원격지접근 절차를 사용하여 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 군에 접근한 후 해당 로컬 시스템 분석을 해야 하고 각 원격지시스템군별로 추출 된 데이터를 통합 관리해야 하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 하는 것이 본 논문에서 제안하는 3-tier 구조의 GSA(Grid System Account)이다. 제안한 GSA 는 각 원격지 별 데이터를 객체화하여 Database 에 저장 함으로써 데이터 분석 시 효과적으로 처리할 수 있으며, 다수의 원격지 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템 군에 대한 복합적인 분석이 필요할 때 효율적으로 대처할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 GSA 의 설계방법을 제안하고 구현하여 실 성능을 시험함으로써 보다 효율적인 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템의 사용율 분석 관리가 가능함을 보였다.포는 감수성을 보이지 않았다. 따라서 위의 결과로부터 SLT-I에 감수성을 보이지 않은 Raw264.7세포를 대상으로 Gb3 발현 정도와 SLT-I의 세포독성의 관계를 규명하고자 Gb3의 발현을 증가시킨 후 SLT-I의 세포독성을 재차 평가하였다. 이 결과 $TNF-{\alpha}$의 처리에 의하여 6 hrs에 Gb3의 발현이 정점(43.5%)에 이르렀으며 36 hrs에 정상 수준(25.0%)으로 환원되었다. 그러나, Gb3의 발현이 증가함에도 불구하고 SLT-I의 세포독성에는 변화가 관찰되지 않았다. 따라서, SLT-I에 의한 세포독성은 세포의 종류에 따라서 다르며 또한, Gb3의 발현정도에만 의존적이지는 않을 것으로 생각된다. 이와 같은 결과는 E. coli 0157의 감염증 병인 연구에 있어 SLT-I과 Gb3의 발현의 상관관계에 대한 보다 심도 있는 연구가 필요함을 시사한다.만 분할률, 배반포 형성률 및 배반포의 세포수를 증가시키는 것으로 사료된다.수의 유출입 지점에 온도센서를 부착하여 냉각수의 온도를 측정하고 냉각수의 공급량과 대기의 온도 등을 측정하여 대사열의 발생을 추정할 수 있었다. 동시에 이를 이용하여 유가배양시 기질을 공급하는 공정변수로 사용하였다 [8]. 생물학적인 폐수처리장치인 활성 슬러지법에서 미생물의 활성을 측정하는 방법은 아직 그다지 개발되어있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 슬러지의 주 구성원이 미생물인 점에 착안하여 침전시 슬러지층과 상등액의 온도차를 측정하여 대사열량의 발생량을 측정하고 슬러지의 활성을 측정할 수 있는 방법을 개발하였다.enin과 Rhaponticin의 작용(作用)에 의(依)한 것이며, 이

A STUDY ON THE RAW MATERIAL OF FISH PASTE USING SHARK MEATS (상어육의 연제품으로서의 원료학적 고찰)

  • As the raw material of fish paste, the experiment on shark meats was conducted from July to December 1967 at the Fisheries Research and Development Agency, Pusan, Korea. The result and the conclusion obtained by the experiment are as follows. 1. Much salt-soluble protein was found in the shark meat comparing with to the other fish. 2. Deodorization of shark meat, using less than $0.05\%$ of acetic acid was most preferable for the elasticity and flexibility of its product. 3. Keeping raw material at low temperature was necessary in maintaining its elasticity. 4. In setting shark fish paste, keeping the raw material at $35-40^{\circ}C$ for 40-70 minutes was the most desirable condition. 5. The best temperature and the duration of heating were 40-60 minutes at $89-90^{\circ}C$, Meanwhile, heating at high temperature was preferable for the storage for a long period, but the elasticity and quality has decreased a little accordingly. 6. For the increase of its palatability, adding $30\%$ of yellow corvenia meat or $20\%$ sea eel meat were more preferable. 7. Pre ervation of the product for 20 days at $20^{\circ}C$ or 50 days at $5^{\circ}C$ was possible by adding $0.2\%$ potassium sorbinate to the product as antiseptic.

Quality Attributes of Gukhwa-Byung at Different Storage Temperatures and Times (저장온도와 시간에 따른 국화병의 품질특성)

  • The quality of physical characteristics were measured, using sensory evaluation and mechanical characteristics where different storing temperature and period on Gukhwa-Byung, which is made of different percentages of Gukhwa (0%, Gukhwa powder:1%, 3% and 5%, and Gukhwa flower:1%, 3% and 5%) were added to rice flour, to promote the use of and liking for rice cakes that are a kind of korean traditional foods. The sensory evaluation showed that it is generally fine right after being made. Especially group F3 was evaluated the best for color, feeling after-swallow and overall-quality. As for color alone, it fumed out to be most distinctive in group F3 after storing 24 hours at 4$^{\circ}C$, in group F1 after 24 hours at 10$^{\circ}C$, in group F1 and F3 after 24 hours at 30$^{\circ}C$ and in group F1 after 48 hours at 30$^{\circ}C$, Gukhwa-Byung added with Gukhwa flower takes the higher degree of preference than the one with Gukhwa powder. Moisture decreased and overall-quality deteriorated as the storing time passed. The value of lightness in the color of Gukhwa-Byung, reduced as Gukhwa content increased and storing temperature rose. The values of red color and yellow color increased as Gukhwa content increased. In a mechanical texture measurement, springiness was high in group P5 right after being made. And it was high after storing 72 hours at 4$^{\circ}C$ and after 96 hours at 10$^{\circ}C$, and there was a significant difference according to Gukhwa content (p<.05). Springiness remained unchanged after storing, 24 hours at 30$^{\circ}C$. Cohesiveness was high in every group of P1, P3 and P5, in which Gukhwa powder was added, right after being made, but as temperature rose and time passed, it heightened in group F3, in which 3% of Gukhwa flower was added. In all the samples, hardness gradually increased as the storing time at each temperature passed, and decreased as Gukhwa content increased. Chewiness was getting high as the storing time passed and temperature lowered. Color in sensory evaluation and the value of lightness in mechanical measurement showed a positive correlation at storing temperature 4$^{\circ}C$ and 10$^{\circ}C$ (p<.01). Softness and the value of lightness showed a negative correlation (p<.05). In sensory evaluation, softness and moisture showed a negative correlation with the value of lightness when storing at 30$^{\circ}C$.

Diagnosis of Early Dental Caries with Dye-Enhancing Quantitative Light-Induced Fluorescence (QLF) (정량 광유도 형광법(QLF)과 광활성제를 이용한 초기 치아우식증의 진단)

  • This study used sodium fluorescein to improve imaging diagnostic ability by increasing the fluorescence difference between sound enamel and caries lesions. It also made it easier to discriminate between stain and caries lesions using quantitative light-induced fluorescence (QLF). Half of the specimen surface was covered with nail varnish as a control. Specimens were divided randomly in six decalcification groups and decalcified for different lengths of time. Then, ${\Delta}F$ was measured using QLF-D. After applying 0.075% sodium fluorescein, we measured ${\Delta}F$ again and compared it with the initial value. After cutting the central portion of the specimen, we measured the lesion depth using scanning electron microscopy. The lesion surfaces observed with QLF were darker than normal enamel, whereas they were lighter than normal enamel after applying fluorescein. Longer decalcification time was associated with greater fluorescent dye penetration. The ${\Delta}F$ measured after applying fluorescein was higher than the initial value (p < 0.05). Due to QLF measurement using fluorescein being more sensitive for diagnosing early decalcification, this approach will enable early diagnosis of dental caries before the cavity formation stage, allowing the treatment of early caries lesions. With QLF and sodium fluorescein, we can easily discriminate between stain and caries lesions.

Roles of Phospholipids in Flavor Stability of Soybean Oil (대두유 향미안정성에 있어서 인지방질의 역할)

  • The effects of phosphatidyl choline (PC), phosphatidyl ethanolamine (PE), phosphatidyl inositol (PI), phosphatidic acid (PA), phosphatidyl glycerol (PG), and cardiolipin (CL) on the flavor stability of purified soybean oil were studied. Purified soybean oil obtained from soybean oil by silicic acid chromatography does not contain measurable iron, tocopherols and phospholipids. Three hundred ppm of PC, PE, PI, PA, PG, or CL was added to the purified soybean oil, with and without 1ppm ferrous iron added. The flavor stability of sample, which was stored at $60^{\circ}C$ for 10 days in dark oven, was determined by a combination of volatile compounds formation and molecular oxygen disappearence in the headspace of air-tightly sealed serum bottle every 48 hrs. Results showed that, in general, phospholipids worked as prooxidant in the pufified soybean oil without ferrous iron added, and worked as antioxidant in the oil, when added 1ppm ferrous iron. The results also suggest that phospholipids work as prooxidant by increasing the solubility of oxygen on the surface of oil, and work as antioxidant in the oil containing 1 ppm ferrous iron by chelating iron. The results showed that PE and PA are better antioxidants than PC and PG. CL and PI showed the lest antioxidant activities in the oil will 1ppm ferrous iron added.

인터넷 질의 처리를 위한 웨이블릿 변환에 기반한 통합 요약정보의 관리

  • As Internet technology evolves, there is growing need of Internet queries involving multiple information sources. Efficient processing of such queries necessitates the integrated summary data that compactly represents the data distribution of the entire database scattered over many information sources. This paper presents an efficient method of managing the integrated summary data based on the wavelet transform and addresses Internet query processing using the integrated summary data. The simplest method for creating the integrated summary data would be to summarize the integrated data sidtribution obtained by merging the data distributions in multiple information sources. However, this method suffers from the high cost of transmitting storing and merging a large amount of data distribution. To overcome the drawbacks, we propose a new wavelet transform based method that creates the integrated summary data by merging multiple summary data and effective method for optimizing Internet queries using it A wavelet transformed summary data is converted to satisfy conditions for merging. Moreover i the merging process is very simpe owing to the properties of the wavelet transform. we formally derive the upper bound of the error of the wavelet transformed intergrated summary data. Compared with the histogram-based integrated summary data the wavelet transformedintegrated summary data provesto be 1.6~5.5 time more accurate when used for selectivity estimation in experiments. In processing Internet top-N queries involving 56 information sources using the integrated summary data reduces the processing cost to 1/44 of the cost of not using it.

Mid-late Maturing Male Sterile Line of Onion (Allium cepa L.) 'Wonye 30001' (양파 중생계 웅성불임 중간모본 '원예 30001')

  • A new intermediate parent 'Wonye 30001' (Allium cepa L.) was developed by Bioenergy Crop Research Center, NICS in 2009. As a male sterile line, 'Wonye 30001' could be used for hybrid seed production by crossing with pollen parent. The first cross was conducted in 2000. Male sterile plants were selected from 'Ginque' breeding lines and fertile plants were selected from YG-1-1. The male sterile line 'Wonye 30001' has circular bulb and bulb weight of 260 g. As mid-late maturing type, lodging date is around May 20. Plant height and stem diameter are 57 cm and 15.9 mm, respectively. In seed harvesting characteristics, number of flower stalks and the length are 6 and 135cm, respectively. Flowering date of 'Wonye' is May 23 and is completely male sterile. 'Wonye 30001' is a promising male sterile line for hybrid bulb onion seed production.

  • This study is about a blockchain-based collective quarantine management system and its commercialization model. The configuration of this system includes a biometric information transmission unit that generates biometric information based on measured values generated from wearable devices, a biometric information transmission unit that transmits biometric information generated here from a quarantine management platform, and action information transmitted from the community server. is a system including an action information receiving unit for receiving from the quarantine management platform. In addition, a biometric information receiving unit that collects biometric information from the terminal, an encryption unit that encodes biometric information generated through the biometric information receiving unit based on blockchain encryption technology, and a database of symptoms of infectious diseases to store symptom information and an infection diagnosis database. The generated database includes a location information check unit that receives from the terminal of the user identified as a symptomatic person and determines whether the user has arrived in the community based on the location information confirmation unit and the location of the user after the location is confirmed. It includes a community arrival judgment unit that judges. And, the community server helps the interaction between the generated information. Such a blockchain based collective quarantine management system can help to advance the existing quarantine management system and realize a safer and healthier society.
