A Study on improving the Functions of Authoring Tool for Educational Contents (교육용 콘텐츠 저작을 위한 개발 툴 기능 개선 연구)

  • With the development of information and communications technologies, there have been increasing cases of services and use free educational materials in educational field through the Web. However, as most of the materials are provided in a finished form via the Web services, teachers are in a situation where they have difficulty in using the materials through development or revision according to their educational goals. In this background, this study aimed to develop requirements and functions necessary for the educational contents development tools by having teachers as actual users develop contents using existing tools of the educational contents development. As a result, this study developed 10 requirements, including intuitive interface environment, support for various multimedia materials, and diversification of output versions etc. Also, the study suggested 13 functions, including links with external resources, automatic format conversion function, usage and editing of existing documents, writing learner's answers, and hiding function etc.

  • 본 연구에서는 VRML 저작 툴을 이용한 3차원 가상 전시공간을 구성하여 보다 현실감 있고 상호작용적인 학습공간을 제공하고 학습동기를 유발하는 체험학습 공간을 설계하고 구현하는데 초점을 맞췄다. 본 연구에서는 Photo Vista, Object Modeler, Reality Studio 등을 가지고 Panorama Image와 3D Object 등을 구현하는 방법을 이용하였다. 우리는 이 가상 전시공간이 학생들의 미술교육에서 현실감 있는 작품감상으로 학생들의 심미적인 면에 얼마나 많은 영향을 미치는지를 연구하고자 한다.

  • The usage increase of digital contents required solution for protection technology and interoperability of system. MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) proposed MPEG-21 Multimedia Frameworks. MPEG-21 IPMP is standard that provides the means to enable digital item and rights information to be persistently managed and protected across networks and devices. In this paper, MPEG-21 IPMP based system to protect digital contents designed by four structures of license server, production server, consumption server, tool server. License server create rights information document using the XML-based REL about multimedia contents of users. Production server makes a digital item by packaging multimedia resource and metadata, which is combined by REL information and IPMP information of multimedia resource. Consumption server takes care of the functions of players that use digital item, and tool server was implement to transmit for missing tool that might occur in all procedures.

  • This study suggested a scheme of revitalization and development of digital talking books(DTB) for the print disable people. In Korea, the number of print disabled people is quickly increasing because of increasing of the acquired blind and the elderly in population. To promote information service and to encourage active participation from the group categorized as print disabled people, library is required two distinctive considerations, design and implementation of authoring tool for DTB and policy and administrative consideration for revitalization for DTB service to the print disable people.

  • In this paper, we implemented a web-based 3D virtual pottery gallery Using VR authoring tools. With this system, we expect to cause learning motives and Provide more realistic and interactive learning space. Out system was implemented by making panorama images and 3D object modules using Photo Vista. Object Modeler and Reality Studio. Users can connect to this web site(http://artstory.x-y.net), rotate a pottery panoramically, and zoom it in or out. We designed this virtual gallery can have beneficial influence on students' aesthetic aspects through realistic work appreciations in their art education processes.

Cloth Simulation System for 3D Fashion shopping mall based on Web (웹 기반 3D 패션몰을 위한 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a new method for the design and implementation of Cloth Simulation System for 3D fashion shopping mall based on Web. Web 3D shopping mall is implemented by using a Web3D authoring tool, ISB, which provides easy mouse operation. 3D human models and cloth item model are designed by low polygon modeling method of 3D MAX. The designed 3D human models and cloth item model are exported to XML file. Finally, 3D human models and cloth item model are displayed and animated on the Web by using ActiveX control based on DirectX. We also implemented textile palette and mapped it to clothes model by using alpha blending during simulation.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop FVU, which enables teachers effectively to construct self-page on the screen, to reduce the size of file for teaching, and to correct many different kinds of event which was already made in the previous. The instrument used in the development of this Editor is UML(Unified Modeling Language), which is object-oriented methodology. The Authoring tool developed in this study is named FVU. The first page which is needed in class can be constructed by using VUEditor in FVU. Using VUEditor can get Instructional Syllabus exported into VUAuthor through Vector-transformation. Through this procedure, the size of image file comes to be reduced into forming low band width, which results in solving the problem of network traffic. Also, Instructor can create image, shape and text, and delete and correct errors or mistakes which make in the course of constructing materials for teaching. In conclusion, this VUEditor enables program designer to construct the first page, even without using such applied program as Image Tool and Power Point. This VUEditor makes instructor to make some contents for teaching easily.

  • When Digital Contents goes through production${\cdot}$delivery${\cdot}$consumption, MPEG(Moving Picture Expers Group)-21 IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection) defines standard which have defined by FCD(Final Committee Draft) level to keep the Digital Contents in safety. And development of system which applied to latest standard to protect and manage the broadcasting contents is required. Currently, the system to protect and manage the broadcast contents consists of fourth organizations which means production server, tool server, license server, consumption server. In this paper, we made production server to parse REL(Right Expression Language) document that has right information for content from license server, and create metadata based on MPEG-21 IPMP about the content that applied to watermark. then, after it do remuxing, transmit the protected data to consumption server.

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 환경으로 발전하면서 이종의 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 가지고 있는 디바이스들 간의 연동 기술이 점점 중요해지고 있다. 이에 대한 연구 중의 하나로 웹서비스를 이용한 이벤트 기반 다바이스 연동 프레임워크가 있으며, 이는 XML을 기반으로 이벤트 기반의 다바이스 연동을 정의하는 룰 언어인 WS-ECA를 제안하고 있다. 그러나, 아직까지 WS-ECA를 효과적으로 작성할 수 있는 방법이 제시되지 않고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 비즈니스 프로세스에 대한 로직을 표현하는 데 가장 활용이 많이 되고 있는 BPEL을 WS-ECA로 변환하는 방법을 제안하며, 이는 BPEL 저작 툴을 이용하여 기본적인 디바이스 연동을 정의할 수 있으므로 효과적으로 WS-ECA을 생성할 수 있는 방법을 제공할 수 있다.
