2상영역열처리를 이용한 원자로 압력용기강의 인성 향상

  • 원자로 압력용기강의 제조열처리인 ?칭과 템퍼링 중간에 페라이트와 오스테나이트가 공존하는 영역에서 2상영역열처리를 추가한 후 템퍼링조건을 조정함으로써 파괴인성을 향상시키는 열처리 공정을 개발하였다. 새 열처리공정을 적용하면 기존공정에 비하여 강도는 크게 감소하지 않으면서 충격인성과 연성이 크게 증가하고, 천이온도가 약 2$0^{\circ}C$ 감소하였다. 2상영역열처리를 하면 연한 템퍼드 베이나이트 기지에 비교적 강한 템퍼드 마르텐사이트가 균일하게 분산된 복합조직을 얻을 수 있고, 유효 결정립의 크기가 감소하여 균열진전이 억제되었다. 또한 기존공정의 판상 탄화물 대신 구형 탄화물이 형성되기 때문에 응력집중이 완화되어 파괴저항성이 향상되었다. 그리고 2상 영역열처리후 템퍼링 정도를 낮추면 탄화물 크기가 작아지기 때문에 균열발생이 억제되어 저온 충격인성이 향상되었다.

Establishment of Distribution System by Individual Packaging of Live Todarodes pacificus (활오징어(Todarodes pacificus)의 개별 포장 유통시스템 확립)

  • A packaging and distribution system for transferring individual live squids at low temperature was developed and compared to a conventional bulk container system. Ten live squids in individual packages were stored in a large container at low temperature ($0{\sim}10^{\circ}C$). Live squids in individual packages at $6^{\circ}C$ showed a survival rate of 84% up to 72 hours, after which the survival rate decreased. However, the survival rate remained at 60% up to 120 hours. Further, the squids survived up to a maximum of 7 days. Optimum temperature was $5^{\circ}C$, and the survival rate of the packages was 70% when stored at $5^{\circ}C$ for 96 hours. A distribution test was carried out using a refrigerator truck at $5^{\circ}C$, and the results showed a 100% survival rate up to 16 hours and over 90% survival rate after 20 hours. A rectangular container was the most favorable when loading the container into the refrigerator truck. In testing the required volume of supplied seawater, 100% survival rate was observed over 15 hours with 20 L of sea water or more. Therefore, a single squid needed 2 L of seawater. After refrigerator truck transportation, optimum temperature for fish tank storage was $5^{\circ}C$, at which the survival rate was over 90% up to 72 hours. Using a refrigerator truck at $5^{\circ}C$, live squids survived up to 7 days, maintaining marketability.

  • The helium recondensing type cryostat with 4 K GM cryocooler is fabricated in order to keep cryogenic state of two saddle type superconducting magnet opposite to each other designed maximum 0.3 T magnetic field, and 1270 mm diameter open bore. The current leads which consist of metal current leads made for brass sheet and HTS current leads made in American Superconductor$^{TM}$ intermediate cool down with cryocooler Thus , the cryocooler for helium recondensing is a 1.5W/4.2 K GM SUMITOMO cryocooler. While superconducting magnet is working of 1600 gauss to 200 A, the cryostat keep constantly the level of liquid helium at 0.05 bar gauge pressure.e.

  • This work investigates the transient cooling characteristics of an Infrared (IR) detector cryochamber, which has a critical effect on the cooling load. The current thermal modeling considers the conduction heat transfer through a cold well. the gaseous conduction due to outgassing. and the radiation heat transfer. The transient cooling Performance. i.e. the penetration depth and cooling load, is determined using a finite difference method. It is found that the penetration depth increases as the bore conductivity increases. Gaseous conduction and radiation hardly affect the penetration depth. The transient cooling load increases as the bore conductivity increases. The effects of gaseous conduction and radiation on transient heat transfer are weak at initial stages of cooling. However, their effects become significant as the cooling Process Proceeds.

A Study of Fatigue Crack Threshold Characteristics in Pressure Vessel Steel at Low Temperature (압력용기용 강의 저온 피로크랙 하한계 특성에 관한 연구(II))

  • In this study, CT specimens were prepared from AST SA516 Gr. 70 which was used for pressure vessel plates for room and low temperature service. And we got the following characteristics from fatigue crack growth test carried out in the environment of room and low temperature at 25$^{\circ}C $, -60$^{\circ}C $, -80$^{\circ}C $ and -100$^{\circ}C $ and in the range of stress ratio of 0.05, 0.3 by means of opening mode displacement. At the constant stress ratio, the threshold stress intensity factor range ${\delta} K_{th}$ in the early stage of fatigue crack growth (Region I) and stress intensity factor range $\delta $K in the stable of fatigue crack growth (Region II) were increased in proportion to descending temperature. It was assumed that the fatigue resistance characteristics and fracture strength at low temperature is considerable higher than that of room temperature in the early stage and stable of fatigue crack growth region. The straight line slope relation of logarithm da/dN -$\delta $K in Region II, that is, the fatigue crack growth exponent m increased with descending temperature at the constant stress ratio. It was assumed that the fatigue crack growth rate da/dN is rapid in proportion to descending temperature in Region II and the cryogenic-brittleness greatly affect a material with decreasing temperature.

  • In this study. CT specimens were prepared from ASME SA5l6 which was used for pressure vessel plates for room and low temperature service. And we got the following characteristics from fatigue crack growth test carried out in the environment of room and low temperature at $25^{\circ}C$, -3$0^{\circ}C$, -6$0^{\circ}C$, -8$0^{\circ}C$, -10$0^{\circ}C$ and -12$0^{\circ}C$ in the range of stress ratio of 0.1 by means of opening mode displacement. 참외.포도.방울토마토의 고품질 유통을 위한 저온유통용 골판지 포장상자 개선에 관한 연구

  • 원예작물은 수확 후 여러 가지 요인에 의해 품질이 저하되어 상품성을 잃게되는데, 특히 수확 후 품온상승에 의해 호흡작용이 왕성해져 품질변화를 촉진하게 된다. 그러므로 수확 후 품온을 가능한 한 빠르게 낮추어 신선도를 유지하기 위한 예냉, 저온저장, 저온수송기술등 저온유통시스템을 활용하는 것이 매우 필요하다. 저온유통시스템을 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서는 냉기의 순환이 원활하여 냉각효율이 좋고 파손의 위험과 물류비용을 줄일 수 있는 포장상자의 구조에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 포도, 방울토마토, 참외의 소비형태는 핵가족화와 더불어 신선 고품질의 농산물을 소량 구매하는 소비패턴으로 변화하면서 저온유통 및 소포장을 위한 포장형태의 개선이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 예냉.저온유통에 적합한 포장상자를 개발하기 위하여 연구소, 농협중앙회, 상자제작회사, 포장디자인 업체, 산지농협 작목반이 개발협의체를 구성하여 참외, 포도, 방울토마토의 저온유통용 골판지 상자를 개발하여 압축강도 및 냉각시험을 실시하여 소비지에 시범 보급하였다. 1. 참외 포장상자는 3kg용 상부 개방형 골판지상자로써 손잡이를 부착하고, 포장상자 상부에 덮개용 필름을 부착하였다. 제작된 상자의 압축강도는 저온유통 후 에도 안전압축강도 이상인 343kgf의 압축강도를 나타냈고, 냉각효율도 기존상자에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 또한 개발된 상자를 사용하여 시중에 출하할 경우 기존 5kg 상자에 비하여 8%이상의 부가가치를 높일 수 있었다. 2. 포도 포장상자는 소비자 기호도를 충족하고 다층적재시 손상을 방지하기 위하여 내용물을 1단 적재하고 상자를 개방형으로 하여 덮개용 필름을 부착하므로써 소비자가 내용물을 확인할 수 있도록 하고, 상자의 압축강도는 소비지까지 유통이 완료된 후 에도 수직압축강도가 400kgf이상으로 안전압축강도 보다 높아 저온에서 안전하게 유통할 수 있었다. 또한 개발된 상자를 사용하여 시중에 출하할 경우 기존 5kg 상자에 비하여 2kg상자는 21%, 4kg상자는 12%이상의 부가가치를 높일 수 있었음. 3. 방울토마토 포장상자는 외포장 상자를 4kg용 상부 개방형 골판지상자를 사용하고, 내포장상자는 500g용 PET용기를 사용하여 1상자에 8개의 내포장상자가 적재될 수 있도록 제작하였다. 제작된 외포장상자의 압축강도는 저온유통후에도 320kgf으로 안전압축강도보다 높게 나타났고, 파랫트 적재효율도 96%이상으로 나타나 물류의 효율성을 높일 수 있었다. 개발된 상자를 사용하여 시중에 출하할 경우 기존 산물형태의 4kg용 상자에 비하여 500g 내포장상자에 출하할 경우 20%이상의 부가가치를 높일 수 있었다.

  • The comb-type grafted polymer hydrogels, which composed of N-isopropylacrylamide monomer and oligo(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-tert-butylacrylamide) [oligo(NIPAAm-co-t-BAM)], were synthesized by redox polymerization in 5~10% methanol aqueous solution using ammonium peroxodisulfate (APS) at 4 oC for 24h. The lower critical solution temperatures (LCSTs) of the comb-type grafted hydrogels were decreased with increase of t-BAM content in the grafted copolymer. We observed the effect of crosslinker and concentration of oligo(NIPAAm-co-t-BAM) on the shrinking/swelling ratio of hydrogels. Changes of shrinking/swelling ratio were decreased with increase of concentration of crosslinker. The increase of grafted oligo(NIPAAm-co-t-BAM) in the hydrogel shows an fast changes of shrinking/ swelling rate. The comb-type grafted hydrogels are expected to be valuable for the sensing materials of time-temperature labels(TTLs).
