The Performance Evaluation of the Adaptive UPC Mechanism in ATM (ATM망에서의 적응적 UPC 메커니즘의 성능 평가)

  • 트래픽의 흐름을 조절하고 ATM 네트워크 자원의 사용을 최적화하기위해서는 폭주로 인한 성능 저하를 막기 위한 적절한 제어가 필요하다. 기존의 사용자 감시 제어(UPC) 메커니즘이 네트워크의 상황과는 관계없이 매우 불안정한 예방적 기능만을 수행하였고, qvj로 인해 셀 지연을 가중시키는 한계점을 갖고 있었다. 본 논문은 OAM 셀을 이용하여 네트워크의 상태에 따라 능동적으로 반응하는 적응적 사용자 감시 제어 메커니즘을 제안하고ㅡ 버퍼로 인한 지연을 고려하여 서비스의 한층 더 높이고자 한다. 제시한 사용자 감시 제어방식은 OAM 셀이 주는 정보를 바탕으로 네트워크 내의 상황을 판단하여 사용자가 요구한 서비스의 질을 고려할 수 있도록 리키율과 버퍼의 문턱값을 조정하였다. 네트워크가 분주시에는 리키율을 낮추고 버퍼를 줄여서 네트워크 내에 유입되는 셀을 막는 역할을 하고 네트워크가 한가할 때는 리키율을 높히고 버퍼를 늘여서 빠르게 네트워크 내로 셀이 유일도리 수 있\ulcorner 한다. 폭주 발생 시에는 셀의 유입을 막고 푹주 상태가 해결될때까지 스페이서의 작동을 멈춘다. 본 논문에서 제시한 사용자 감시 제어 메커니즘의 트래픽 소스 모델은 IPP로 모델링하였고, 트래픽은 음성과 고속 데이터를 중심으로 시뮬레이션하였다. 음성과 고속 대이타 각각의 경우에 시뮬레이션한 결과를 기존의 방식과 비교, 분석한 결과에서 음성에서는 버퍼지연이 대폭 줄였고 고속 데이터인 경우에는 셀 손실율이 줄어드는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 제시한 방식에 의해 사용자가 요구하는 서비스의 질을 유지하면서 동시에 네트워크의 자원을 효율적으로 사용하였음을 알 수있었다.에 적합한가를 고찰하였다.베이터에 의한 아파트의 소음 및 진동에 관하여 그 현황, 원인 그리고 대책에 관한여 논하고자 한다.감 방법을 연구하였고, T.Sakai는 5자유도 모델을 이용하여 엔진 공회전시 발생하는 치타음에 대해 이론과 실험을 통해 해석하고, 엔진 회전수 변동, 클러치 특성, 변속기의 드래그(drag) 토크의 영향과 치타음 저감을 위한 개선된 클러치 특성을 제시하였다. 이 외에도 Thomas C.T.와 E.P.Petkus는 특정 차량에 대한 동력전달계의 비틀림 진동 현상에 대해 연구하였다. 이러한 연구들로 볼 때, 자동차 동력전달계에서 발생하는 진동은 이론과 실험을 통해 그 해석이 가능하며 설계에 매우 유용하게 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 4 실린더 4 싸이클 1.5 L 엔진을 장착한 경승용차의 실차 주행실험을 통해 가속 페달의 급조작에 따른 차체의 종진동 현상을 측정하고, 엔진-변속기-타이어-차체의 반환정계 4자유도 진동모델로 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 실차 주행실험의 결과치와 비교, 분석한 후 클러치 비틀림 특성을 비롯한 자동차 동력전달계의 각 설계인자들이 차체의 종진동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 해석하고자 한다.be presented.LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다.   • Particulate matter(PM) is one of the leading causes of lung cancer. Recognizing its considerable risk to human health, people change their behaviors when a concentration level of PM is high. The impact of particulate matter on urban activities may vary depending on the lasting days of PM and PM matter alerts. In addition, the level of averting behavior may vary depending on the types and physical characteristics of urban activities and the degree of vulnerability to PM among people. Although the way people respond to PM may vary depending on these various factors, previous research evidence on this is very insufficient. Therefore, this study multilaterally analyzed the impact of PM on the urban activities in Jongno-gu, one of the CBD areas of Seoul. For this, we linked SKT's mobile phone signal data to land use data to extract the daily number of active people by urban activity types and ages. According to multiple regression analysis, the averting behavior varies depending on the type of urban activity, the physical characteristics of the place of activity(inside and outdoor), the lasting days of PM, PM alerts and the age of people. The results of this study can be used as basic data to policy makers who establish policies for adapting to air pollution policies by providing various effects of PM on the urban activities.

A Research of Field Tolerance for Improvement of Fire Fighting Ability in High Rise Structures (고층건축물에서의 소방력 향상을 위한 현장적응성에 관한 연구)

  • There are currently various domestic high-rise construction projects underway. Such projects may maximize the economic impact, and yield other benefits, however, there is also a possibility of fire, terrorism, and other disasters that one may not even imagine. This study of high-rise structures' damage reduction measures the fire-fighting ability of the fire fighters at the scene of an indoor emergency upon entry. In order to identify the practical limitations, the fire fighter entered from the 1st floor to reach the top 54th floor. 1.Time required to reach the top floor without the respirator 2.Time required as well as pressure consumption to reach the top floor with the respirator equipped was measured; based on the results, performable range of operations during a fire fighting activity were presented.

Effects of Temperature and lncoming Concentrations on the Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds in a Biofilter Packed with Peat (Peat가 충진된 고정층 생물반응기에서 온도 투입농도가 휘발성 유기화합물의 분해에 미치는 영향)

  • Biofiltration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) was performed for 80 days in a biofilter packed with peat. The empty bed residence time was 3.2 min. for a gas mixture of isoprene, dimethyl sulfide, chloroform. benzene, trichlorethylene, toluene, m0xylene, o-xylene and styrene. After 34 days of acclimatization the removal efficiency for a 83 g/㎥ gas input was 93% at $25^{circ}C$ and 73% at $45^{circ}C$, respectively. The maximum cell density at $25^{circ}C$ was 1.12$\times$10(sup)8 cells/g. Removal efficiencies of m-xylene and toluene (91%) were better than that of benzene (86%). The first quarter of the packed column removed 60% of the incoming VOCs.

High-rate Anaerobic Treatment of Landfill Leachate (매립지 침출수 처리의 고율 혐기성 처리)

  • Landfill leachate was successfully treated in upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactors regardless of the addition of granular sludge. Initial operating period was significantly reduced by the addition of granular sludge. At hydraulic retention time (HRT) of one day, chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal rates in Control and Granule reactor were maintained over 90%, respectively with organic loading rate (OLR) of $4-8kgCOD/m^3.d$. During the experiment, the inorganic precipitates were accumulated in and around the sludge, and in the wall of the reactors were formed in both reactors regardless of addition of granular sludge. Specific methanogenic activity (SMA) increased as adaptation of microorganism to the substrate and OLR were increased. The maximum SMA value of the sludge for Granule reactor was about $0.57gCOD/g{\cdot}VSS{\cdot}.d$. The SMA value was not decreased because of excessive inorganic accumulation, however, it was needed to have pre-treatment process of influent to remove the inorganic metals.

Performance of a Hellow Fiber Membrane Diffuser for the Biological Removal of Gaseous BTX (Diffuer 형태의 중공사막 생물반응기를 이용한 기체상 BTX 제거)

  • In this study, a novel bioreactor system using a diffuser type hollow fiber membranes (hollow fiber membrane diffuser, HFMD) was applied to investigate the feasibility and biodegradation capacity for the treatment of a gaseous mixture consisting of benzene, toluene and p-xylene(BTX). First, A mixed culture pre-acclimated to toluene effectively biodegraded the BTX mixture at an overall removal efficiency of approximately 70% for a 20-day operational period. It was found that the biodegradation of toluene was slightly inhibited because of the presence of benzene and p-xylene. Second, the elimination capacity (EC) of total BTX increased up to 360 $g/m^3/hr$, which was substantially higher than maximum ECs for BTEX reported in the biofiltration literature. Consequently, the hollow fiber membrane diffuser was considered as an alternative method over other conventional VOC-treating technologies such as biofilters.

  • In this paper, a new active noise control method was proposed to decrease a weight of car, and to increase a fuel efficiency and to provide passengers' comfort and calmness, instead of a passive noise control method such as sound absorbing and insulating materials. The proposed method is an enhanced active noise controller operating by a bidirectional control algorithm. The algorithm is simple to implement and available to analyze mathematically with nearly equivalent complexity of computation. Through simulations for engine noises of a car, the proposed controller was verified that its performances of time and frequency domain were superior to those of both feedforward and feedback controllers, and it had better capability of controlling the noises when the impulsive disturbance was flow in and the response of secondary path was varied.

Bend-Twist Coupling Behavior of 10 MW Composite Wind Blade (10 MW급 복합재 풍력 블레이드의 굽힘-비틀림 커플링 거동 연구)

  • In this study, a structural optimal design of 10 MW composite blade was performed using bend-twist coupled(BTC) design concept. Bend-twist coupling of blade means the coupling behavior between the bending and torsional deflections due to the composite lamina with fiber angle biased from the blade longitudinal axis. This can potentially improve the overall performance of composite blade and reduce the dynamic loading. Parametric studies on layup angle, thickness and area of off-axis carbon UD were conducted to find the optimum coupling effect with weight reduction. Comparing the results of fatigue load analysis between conventional model and BTC applied model, the damage equivalent load(DEL) of blade root area were decreased about 3% in BTC model. To verify the BTC effect experimentally, a 1:29 scaled model was fabricated and the torsion at the tip under deflection behavior of blade stiffener model was measured by static load test.

  • The channels of domestic FM broadcast are needed to provide various kinds of new broadcasting services. However, available channels are limited and saturated. The channel interval of FM broadcast is changed from 200 kHz to 100 kHz to maximize utilization efficiency of scarce broadcast spectrum at all over the world. Also, there are many researches such as IBOC(In Band On Channel) and DRM+(Digital Radio Mondial+) that is to allocate the digital signal beside analog bandwidth. But output power is decrease to avoid interference between adjacent radio stations. In this paper, we analyzes the problems of the protection ratio which is decided in 1986 and we propose method to improve about 7~10dB significantly the protection ratio according to the recent DSP(Digital Signal Processing) techniques without loss of both transmission power and broadcast quality. In addition, we examined the possibility of securing two times available channels by reducing minimum frequency interval from 800 kHz to 400 kHz or 600 kHz in the equal site.

  • Electric utilities may face new threats with increase in electric vehicles (EVs) in the personal automobile market. The peak demand will increase which may stress the distribution network equipment. The focus of this paper is on an adaptive control of smart household appliances by using an intelligent load management system (ILMS). The main objectives are to accomplish consumer needs and prevent overloading of power grid. The stress from the network is released by limiting the peak demand of a house when it exceeds a certain point. In the proposed strategy, for each smart appliance, the customers will set its order/rank according to their own preferences and then system will control the household loads intelligently for consumer reliability. The load order can be changed at any time by the customer. The difference between the set and actual value for each load's specific parameter will help the utility to estimate the acceptance of this intelligent load management system by the customers.
