Ni-Fe계 초내열합금에서 열간 변형 조건에 따른 동적 재결정립 구조의 변화 (Variations of Dynamically-Recrystallized Grain Structure with Hot Deformation Conditions in a Ni-Fe Base Superalloy)

  • 니켈계 내열합금의 성형은 수백 $^{\circ}C$에 이르는 고온에서 이루어지기 때문에 열간성형 과정에서 소재 내부의 미세조직 변화에 대한 이해는 부품의 특성 제어 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 특히 열간 동적 재결정에 의해 발생되는 결정립 구조의 변화를 적절히 조절함으로써 부품의 특성을 극대화 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 Ni-Fe계 초내열합금에 대한 고온 압축실험과 압축시편에 대한 EBSD 분석을 통해 열간 변형 과정에서 발생하는 소재 내부의 동적인 결정립 구조의 변화를 정량적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 고온 압축시험은 101$0^{\circ}C$, 1066$^{\circ}C$의 온도 조건과 0.5s-1, 0.005s-1의 변형율 속도 조건에서 최대 진변형율 0.7까지 수행하였으며 진변형율에 따른 결정립 조직 변화를 관찰하기 위해 진변형 율에도 변화를 주어 실험을 수행하였다. 이들 고온 압축시편은 응력방향에 평행한 면에 대한 미세조직 관찰을 통해 재결정립 크기, 분율 및 결정립계의 특성 변화에 대한 정량적 연구를 수행하였다.

  • Evaluation of microstructural changes during open die forging of heavy ingots is important for process control. The objective of the control of forging parameters, such as shape of the dies, reduction, temperature and sequence of passes, is to maximize the forging effects md to minimize inhomogeneities of mechanical properties. The hot working die steel is produced by using the multistage open die forging. The structure is altered during forging by subsequent processes of plastic deformation, recrystallization and grain growth. A numerical analysis using an rigid visco-plastic finite element model was performed to predict microstructural evolution of hot working die steel.

  • Recently, a much amount of attention has been paid not only to produce products with precise dimensional accuracy, but also to predict and control the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of parts. Especially, to do the latter through computer simulation, the history of states factors influencing on these evolution such as temperature, strain, strain rate etc., should be calculated and a appropriate mathematical models for the prediction of microstructural evolution must be developed. Thus, in this study thermo-viscoplastic finite element program including the model for predicting microstructural has been developed. Also for the verification of developed program warm forging process for the rotor pole was simulated and the comparison between the results calculated and ones in the literature was made.

단결정 CMSX-2의 표면재결정 거동 (The Surface Recrystallization Behavior of Single Crystal CMSX-2)

  • The single crystal specimens were solidified by modified Bridgeman method. The surface recrystallized single crystal specimens were prepared by shot peening followed by heat treatment. The surface recrystallization begins at the dendrite cores on the surface. The recrystallized grains grew into the inner side of the specimen. The growth of recrystallized grains was inhibited by the pores and eutectic phases. The primary $\gamma'$ phases were dissolved at the recrystallized grain boundaries during the grain growth. The grain growth of recrystallized grains was similar to the cellular type transformation. No orientation relationships were found bewteen the recrystallized grains and the parent phase.

  • We investigated the effects of Pd impurities on cube-textures in cold rolled and recrystallized PtPd tapes The sample were made from Pt$_{1-x}Pd_x$ alloys (x from 0 to0.34) by rolling at low temperature. The thickness of the tapes were about 100 ${\mu}$m. The PtPd[111] pole figures of X-ray Diffraction for all the samples indicated similar deformed textures. But the recrystallized textures after annealing showed that a better cube texture was formed in the sample of larger x. The final textures were sensitive to annealing time and temperature when x was increased.

고온변형시 Zr-2.5wt%Nb합금에서의 어닐경화와 유동연화거동

  • 본 연구는 Zr-2.5wt%Nb합금의 고온변형특성중 특이한 유동응력의 변화거동인 어닐경화와 유동연화의 기구에 대해 고찰하였다. 연구결과에서 이러한 고온변형특성은 온도와 다단변형도중의 어닐링 시간에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으나 분위기 영향은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 변형 온도와 동일온도인 85$0^{\circ}C$에서 단시간인 5분동안 어닐링을 했을때 경화현상이 일어났다. 미세조직을 관찰한 결과 다단열간압연된 후의 미세조직과 집합조직은 다단열간압연된 미세조직과 집합조직과 직접적인 상관관계를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 어닐경화현상은 다단고온변형이 궁극적으로 변형시효와 유사한 효과 즉, 중간어닐링 동안에 Zr-2.5wt%Nb내의 불순물 원자와 열간압연시에 형성된 전위구조와의 강력한 인력형 상호작용하여 substructure가 안정화되기 때문이며 유동연화는 재결정으로 인한 유동응력의 감소인 것으로 사료된다.

  • The flow stress of 304 stainless steel during high during hot forming process were determined by conducting hot compression tests at the range of 1273 K-1423 K and 0.05 /s-2.0 /s as these are typical temperature and strain rate in hot forging operation. Based on the observed phenomena, a constitutive model of flow stress was assumed as a function of strain, strain rate, temperature. Dynamic recrystallization was found to be the major softening mechanism with this conditions as previous studies. A finite element analysis was performed to predict the recrystallized volume fraction and the mean grain size in hot compression of 304 stainless steel.

  • Mg alloys have drawn a huge attention in the field of transportation and consumer electronics industries since it is the lightest alloy which could be industrially applicable. Most Mg alloy components have been fabricated by casting method. However, there have been a lot of research activities on the wrought alloys and their plastic forming process recently. The deformation behavior of an AZ31 Mg alloy at the elevated temperature was examined firstly to find out the optimum plastic forming range in terms of temperature and strain rate. During high temperature deformation, AZ31 alloy is usually undergone the dynamic recrystallization which influence the deformation behavior in turn. In the present study, the effect of deformation on dynamic recrystallization of an AZ31 alloy was investigated to clarify the relation between the deformation and recrystallization. In an AZ31 alloy system, the dynamic recrystallization was found to occur continuously. Recrystallized grain size was dependent on the stress level.

  • Behavior of dynamic/static recrystallization during hot deformation of Cast alloy 718 was investigated. For this purpose, hot compression test and FE-simulation were conducted via Thermecmaster-Z and DEFORM-3D, respectively. The microstructural evolution during hot compression and post heat-treatment was investigated and deformation mechanism were analyzed by stress-strain curve, FE-simulation and microstructure. FE-simulation results show that the temperature difference between top-die and billet has considerable influence on the final shape of compressed specimen. The relation between applied load and processing time was predicted by the FE-simulation.
