A kinematical study of bite force during voluntary isometric contraction was investigated in 20 Korean men with TMJ dysfunction and 30 Korean men as normal subject, ranging from 20 to 27 years old. The author observed maximum bite force, slope of bite force graph, curve index and duration of maximum bite force with the use of the foil strain gauge (MPM-3000) and RS Dymograph (Beckman). The obtained results were as follows : 1. Maximum bite forces were 29kg and 29kg for left and right side of normal subject (p>0.05) and 19kg and 29kg for affected and non-affected side of TMJ dysfunction patient. 2. The slopes of bite force graph were $68^{\circ}$ and $68^{\circ}$ for left and right side of normal subject (p>0.05) and $59^{\circ}$ and $71^{\circ}$ for affected and non-affected side of TMJ dysfunction patient. (p<0.01) 3. The curve indices were 0.93 and 0.90 for left and right side of normal subject and 1.10 and 0.90 for affected and non-affected side of TMJ dysfunction patient. (p>0.05) 4. The durations of maximum bite force were 424 msec and 413 msec for left and right side of normal subject and 337 msec and 334 msec for affected and non-affected side of TMJ dysfunction patient. Objectives : This study has been designed and performed to identify the effect of Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture which is usually used in reducing sleep pattern disturbances. Methods : The study subjects studied included 48 patients who were admitted in hospital located in Pusan, and they were classified into 2 groups : 25 patients in the experimental group who injected Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture and 23 patients in the control group who were treated by acupuncture. The both group injected on $GB_{20}$, $GB_{12}$ and $GB_{20}$ for 5 days without medicine. The sleep pattern disturbance score was measured by using 15 questions according to Korean Sleep Scale A(Oh, Jin Joo. Song, Mi. Soon. Kim, Shin Mi. 1998). Results & conclusions : The sleep pattern disturbance score of the experimental group who injected Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture was significantly lower than that of the control group(t=7.00 p=.00). These results provided that Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture of $GB_{20}$, $GB_{12}$ and HT, was effective for relieving sleep pattern disturbances, it is need mere sample's number and more treatment's duration.

The lateral pterygoid muscle is one of the masticatory muscles basic to jaw function. Because of its deep location in the masticatory system, digital palpation of the muscle is usually difficult to perform and unreliable. Therefore, diagnosis of the myalgic disorders involving the lateral pterygoid muscle is a perplexing problem for clinicians. Local anesthetic injection can be a more effective method to examine the lateral pterygoid muscle for the purpose of discriminating the source of pain. Furthermore, immediate elimination of muscle pain facilitates stretching of the muscle in the full range. We report two cases of lateral pterygoid myalgia that were diagnosed and managed successfully through the use of intramuscular local anesthetic injection.

Intrathecal phenol-glycerin block is a potent tool in stepwise approach to intractable perineal pain. At outpatient clinic, intrathecal phenol-glycerin block have been frequently used to control the cancer pain, as this procedure does not require special equipment. However, undesirable effects may occur with any given intrathecal injection. Although most side effects do not last long, they deserve well to prevent. Recently, we have been controlled the perineal and perianal cancer pain with intrathecal phenol-glycerin block without any specific complications. However, one patient we managed experienced that one patient, with this procedure for chronic non-malignant perineal pain control experience gait disturbance and one-week of voiding and defication difficulties. This research reports these practices, including the review of literature.

In this paper we achieve experimental data evaluation using SSB(Single-side band) modulation in the ocean. Present research in underwater communication is applying digital modulation, OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulation) and MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system. However, Commercial modems using analog modulation techniques in oceans. So, we achieved experimental for modem appliance development of correct high quality in South Korea sea characteristics. This experimets achievd useing SSB analog modulation in Jin-hae shore of shallow water condition. We analyzed Doppler effects, reverberation and transmission characteristics for real channel effect analysis. As a result, reverberation and ships self-noise are disturbed factors for underwater communications.

We describe the case of a 4-month-old male infant diagnosed with early congenital syphilis during evaluation of a left distal humerus fracture. This report emphasizes the importance of screening for syphilis among pregnant women and newborns, and is a reminder of the continued existence of congenital syphilis.

Unmanned robot system has become a significant part of network centric warfare. Unnlike the commercial wireless system, however, it is tricky to provide reliable communication in the harsh environment: tactical and military communication. Therefore, it needs to be considered when the base station and mobile has poor communication channel. In this paper, we proposed an efficient operating algorithm for unammned robot system with ensuring communication survivability in the harsh environment. From the simulation, we adopted the SUI channel suitable for domestic mountainous area and open terrain with Rician factor K.

Although calcific tendinitis around hip joint is a rare condition, patients with symptomatic calcific tendinitis serve very severe pain and are disturbed their daily activities. We report four calcific tendinitis patients who had acute pain around the hip with limitation of motion of the joint and were treated with ultrasonography-guided multiple needling with dramatic pain relief.

Superwarfarin, such as brodifacoum, is a highly lethal vitamin K antagonist used as a rodenticide. Brodifacoum has a particularly long half-life in the body, which ranges to several months, and therefore requires prolonged treatment with antidotal vitamin K. We experienced a case whereby an 18-year-old male was presented to the hospital with a severe bleeding disorder. It was discovered that he had ingested brodifacoum rodenticide with intent to commit suicide. Despite continual treatment with vitamin K, the bleeding disorder persisted for several months before he recovered. We report this case with literature review.
