연구 배경 및 목적 : 많은 구어 장애 환자들은 구어 장애 자체로 인한 고통과 불편뿐만 아니라, 의사소통이 원활하지 못함으로 인해 느끼는 좌절감 등의 2차적인 고통을 받고 있다. 장기간에 걸친 구어의 병리는 반복되는 의사소통의 실패를 낳게 되고, 궁극적으로는 의사소통 자로서의 자신에 대하여, 또는 의사소통 상황에 대하여 부정적인 태도를 키우게 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 구어 장애로 인한 의사소통 태도가 정상인들과 차이가 있는 지와 함께 구어장애의 하위 유형에 따라 개인이 느끼는 의사소통에 대한 태도에 차이가 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 뇌성마비(Cerebral Palsy)는 임신 중이나 출산, 또는 신생아기에 발생된 뇌손상에 의해 발생하는 중추성 자세 및 운동 장애를 말한다. 뇌성마비는 여러 가지 합병증 및 동반증상을 가지게 되는데, 그 증상들에는 지적장애, 언어장애, 간질, 시각장애, 자폐, 이갈이 및 섭식연하장애 등이 있다. 뇌성마비 장애인에서 나타나는 치과적 특징과 고려사항, 그리고 이들의 구강건강관리에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

Since people with visual impairments are mostly hard to access the Internet they have been neglected from the information-oriented society. Therefore, the contents which consider the web accessibility to readily access to the web by people with visual impairments are an essential component. In this paper, we developed the contents to improve the web accessibility for people with visual impairments. To provide easy access to the web by people with visual impairments, we analyzed the existing web sites for blind people and considered a concise design, and hierarchical structure. Using the PHP, CSS, and Javascript, the necessary functions for the visually handicapped such as focusing, shortcut key, and text equivalent are implemented. The results which are tested by blind users prove the efficiency of the proposed contents.

Objectives: Daytime sleepiness is a common symptom and is associated with sleep behavior, sleep deprivation, and night shift, etc. It is also one of the most important symptoms of sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). According to our survey on Korean literature, a few studies have dealt with daytime sleepiness, and we have not been able to locate any study comparing normal subjects with polysomnography-proven sleep disorder patients regarding daytime sleepiness. We aimed at comparing daytime sleepiness among normal healthy daytime workers, medical students being expected to have daytime sleepiness due to chronic sleep deprivation, and patients having sleep disorders diagnosed with polysomnography. We also studied the association between subjective daytime sleepiness and objective polysomnographic findings in patients with sleep disorders. Methods: One hundred three hospital workers, 137 medical students, and patients with sleep disorders were studied. Sleep disorders included OSA, periodic limb movements in sleep (PLMS), insomnia, and narcolepsy. The degree of subjective sleepiness in each group was measured by the Korean version of Epworth sleepiness scale and compared. The relationship between polysomnographic findings reflecting severity of sleep disorder in each patient group and subjective sleepiness was analyzed. As for patients with narcolepsy, the relationship between the mean sleep latency and subjective sleepiness was studied. Results: There was a significant difference of ESS score (F=68.190, dF=5.752, p<0.001) among daytime workers, medical students, and sleep disorder patients. In OSA patient group, the degree of the sleepiness had no significant correlation either with mean O2 satuaration (p=0.062) or with RDI (p=0.807). In PLMS patient group, there was no correlation between periodic limb movement index (PLMI) and subjective sleepiness (p=0.761). In narcolepsy patient group, the subjective sleepiness had no correlation with mean sleep latency measured with MSLT (p=0.055). Conclusion: We found a significant difference of subjective sleepiness among daytime workers, medical students, and patients with sleep disorders. However, no consistent correlation was found between severity of subjective sleepiness and objective polysomnographic findings reflecting severity of each sleep disorder. This research confirms that the evaluation of subjective sleepiness is important clinically, but it cannot substitute the objective measures such as nocturnal polysomnography and MSLT.

The authors applied Toddler Temperament Scale(TTS) to ADHD patient group, other disease group and normal control group to elucidate temperamental characteristics of ADHD patients in their toddler stage. 1) ADHD group showed significant difference from the control group in 'activity', 'rhythmicity', 'approach', 'adaptability', 'intensity', 'persistence' and 'threshold' categories. 2) ADHD group and other disease showed significant difference from the control group in 'adaptability' and 'persistence' categories. 3) ADHD group was significantly different from other disease group or control group in 'activity' and 'approach' categories. 4) In total scores of TTS, ADHD group and other diease group showed significant difference from control group. 5) Classification ratio of TTS for ADHD by discriminant analysis was 84.3%. Above results suggest that the ADHD patients may reveal characteristic traits in their toddler stage Further research should be focused on the development and refinement of assessment tools for the early detection and prevention for ADHD.

인터넷 및 전자상거래의 확산과 함께 국내에서도 인터넷을 이용한 수출을 지칭하는 이른바 “인터넷 무역”내지 “전자무역”의 시대가 열리고 있다. 그러나 아직도 우리 나라의 대다수 중소기업들의 경우에는 보안, 신뢰, 인터넷관련비용, 기술, 제도적 지원의 미흡, 하부구조의 미비 등 인터넷 활용에는 많은 장애요인이 있는 것으로 알려지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우리 나라 중소기업들이 인터넷무역을 구현하는데 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들은 무엇이며, 또 이들이 인터넷 무역을 구현하기 위해 노력하는 과정에서의 장애요인에는 어떠한 것들이 있는지, 그리고 그에 따른 성과에는 어떠한 차이가 있는가를 규명하였다. 실증분석 결과 산업의 경쟁강도와 하부구조 등 외부환경특성과 최고경영자의 태도, 전자상거래 담당인력, 수출대상국 수 등의 기업특성이 실행범위에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 인터넷무역의 실행범위가 넓을수록, 장애요인에 대한 인지도가 낮을수록 성과가 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다 그러나 장애요인과 실행범위에는 유의한 관계가 발견되지 않았다. 이는 기업들의 입장에서는 보다 적극적으로 인터넷을 다양한 무역범위에 활용할 필요가 있으며, 정부는 실효성있는 정책적 지원을 동해 인터넷무역의 장애요인을 완화시켜 나갈필요가 있음을 의미한다.

As the number and diversity of educational services increases rapidly on the Internet, we are faced with some service availability problems including persistent service monitoring and fault tolerancy. In this paper, we implemented a service monitoring & fault management system to enhance this availability and reduce administration cost of WBI system. In order to validate our system, we also illustrated an effective real-time monitoring and automatic fault announcement & recovery from our experiences in a real world WBI environment.

Library website is medium for connecting library information resources and users. However, searching and accessing methods to information resources in library websites and retrieval systems are mostly designed for users. So, the disabled users have difficulty accessing and using library information resources through library websites. Therefore, the author carried on current status study and analysis on the retrieval system of the national and public library websites in Korea. And then, the author proposes improvement plan in order to enhance satisfaction with information needs of disabled users and to use a basic study for construction of retrieval system of library websites for disabled users.

요즘 비만은 대사성증후군의 하나로, 질병으로 인식되고 있다. 그러한 이유는 비만한 사람이 의학적으로 뿐 아니라, 사회적, 정신적으로도 장애를 일으키기 때문이다. 비만과 관련된 질환으로는 제2형 당뇨병, 고혈압, 뇌졸증, 심장질환, 고지혈증, 골관절염, 위장관질환, 담낭질환, 수면무호흡증, 암, 통풍, 정서장애, 수면장애, 섭식장애, 불임이 있으며, 그 외에도 다낭성 난소증후군 등 산부인과 질환이 있다.
