포(화력)와 장갑(방호력)의 경쟁은 전차가 개발된 이후 끊임없이 계속되어 왔다. 1970년대 영국에서 개발된 초밤(Chobham)장갑은 현존하는 어떤 장갑판보다 방호력이 우수한 것으로 알려져 있으며, 지금까지 가장 좋은 장갑재의 대명사로 불려져 왔다. 초밤장갑은 영국의 챌린저(Challenger)전차와 1980년 미국의 M1전차에 사용되었다. 최근에는 가장 우수한 창을 만드는 재질로 방패를 만드는 원리를 이용한 감손우라늄(DU)장갑이 미국의 M1A1 전차에 사용되었다

We conducted a study to access the effectiveness of glove and washing hands for the prevention of microbial contamination during the dental clinical practice. Microbial numbers at unwashed hands and gloves were $9.938{\time}10^3(CFU)/ml$, those at washed with soap were $9.44{\time}10^3CFU/ml$ And those at washed with a typical liquid soap including disinfectant, Dettol (Reckitt Benckiser, Slough, SL1 3UH, UK) were $6.58{\time}10^2CFU/ml$. In case of unwashed hand and hand washing with soap had similar microbial numbers and in case of hand washing with Dettol showed a rapid decrease of microbial number. Hand washing with Dettol was effective to prevent microbial contamination than hand washing with soap. Also microbial numbers in all case wearing gloves decreased. It showed effectiveness of gloves for prevention of microbial contamination. In addition to microbial numbers showed a tendency to increase from 3 hours on wearing gloves, the change of new gloves after 3 hours on wearing is necessary to minimize the danger of microbial contamination.

본 연구는 장갑 치수규격의 설정과 그레이딩을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고, 장갑설계를 위한 손의 기본치수간격과 참고치수 설정을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 KS 및 ISO 치수체계를 분석하였고, 우리나라 성인 남녀 824명의 손부위 실제 측정치와 한국산업규격의 장갑치수규격, ISO 치수규격 등을 비교ㆍ분석하여 각각의 문제점을 살펴보았다. (중략)

미 육군은 다수의 새로운 체계와 기존 차량의 성능 개선을 위해 타이타늄을 평가하고 있다. UDLP(United Defence Limited Pantnership)에 의해 개발된 AGS(The Armored Gen System)는 타이타늄 부가장갑을 사용하고 있다. 아마도 최대의 성능개선 계획은 방호력이 증대된 확장형 M113 인원 수송 차량(APC, 전 세계에 60,000대 이상 배치 운영 중)일 것이다. 측면 방호력 증대를 위해 1.25인치 두께의 부가 장갑판과 전면장갑으로 2인치 두께 판이 고려되고 있다

현재 우리나라가 보유하고 있는 전차는 주로 한국이 독자개발한 최신예 88전차와 M48전차로 구성되어 있다. 북괴에 대한 기갑전력의 열세를 만회하기 위해서는 북괴 대전차 무기체계를 분석하여 이에 효과적으로 대응할수 있는 방안을 찾아야 할 것이며, 이는 88전차와 M48계열 전차의 적절한 전투가치 향상사업으로 집약될 것이다. 특히 M48 계열 전차의 장갑 보강을 위해 덧붙임장갑(Add-on Armour)의 장착이 필수적이며, 화학에너지탄뿐 아니라 운동에너지탄으로부터의 방호를 위해 Hybrid 덧붙임장갑을 장착해야 될 것이다

Leclerc 전차는 "혁명적'방식의 장갑을 탑재하고 있다. 이 장갑은 주하중-베아링 축에 부착되는 module화된 복합 물질 요소로 구성되었으며, 손쉽게 맞춰 달수 있고, 교체가 가능하다. 이에 따라 전장에서 신속한 수리가 가능하며, 최신기술의 장갑 장착이 용이하다. 또한 기동성의 면에서 Lecerc 전차는 최신세대의 초압축형 1천5백마력 과급기형 디젤엔진을 탑재한 최초의 전차이다. 그 결과 이 전차의 차체는 Leopard 2나 M1과 같은 제2세대 전차에 비해 현저히 짧다. 현재 M1A2, 신형 Leopard 2, Challenger 2 등과 영국의 치프텐 전차 대체사업 수주를 위해 경쟁중에 있다

Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) is increasingly popular technology with many application. The majority of applications of RFID deployed in supply-chain management. In this paper, we present a wireless RFID glove in interactive learning method. Objects tagged with a small passive RFID tag, can be sensed at short ranges by using wireless RFID glove. We describe the wireless RFID glove prototype, and present some interactive learning programs and games.
