미국 연포장협회(Flexible Packaging Association∙FPA)는 최근 제67회 '2023 우수 연포장상'(2023 Flexible Packaging Achievement Award) 수상작을 발표했다. 수상작은 지난 3월 미국 플로리다주 아멜리아섬 리츠칼튼에서 열린 '2023년 FPA 연차 총회'와 함께 열린 'FPA 웰컴 디너 & 플렉시블 포장 공로상'시상식을 통해 공개됐다. 대회 수상작들은 재료, 그래픽, 구조, 새로운 용도, 연장된 보관 수명 및 지속 가능성의 발전 등 시장의 기대와 요구를 충족하는 포장 솔루션을 선보였다. 올해 대회에서는 총 323개 출품작과 함께 87개 패키지 출품작이 제출(일부 패키지는 여러 카테고리에 포함)되었으며 30개의 패키지가 총 38개의 상을 수상했다. 지면을 통해서는 최고상과 골드어워드 수상작을 소개한다.

This study proposed the improvement in the evaluation systems and indicators of small libraries, by analyzing the evaluation indicators of the current small libraries, domestic and foreign ones and domestic other institutions, and gathering opinions from managers of them and experts belonging to related groups, in order to enhance the management quality of small libraries and strengthen the independence of them, based on the evaluation on the activation and substantiality of them. The evaluation systems proposed by this study is divided into Track 1 evaluating small libraries and Track 2 evaluating local governments. The evaluation indicators of small libraries was simplified by eliminating the indicators found from the statistics of Track 1 (small libraries). Track 1 consists of three evaluation areas in regard to the management of small libraries, such as library management, infrastructures and services, 8 evaluation items, 10 evaluation indicators, quantitative (a total of 100 points) and qualitative (a total of 120 points) evaluation. Track 2 consists of 2 evaluation areas in regard to the establishment and enforcement of small library policies and the support for small libraries, such as library management and infrastructures, 4 evaluation items, 5 evaluation indicators and quantitative evaluation (a total of 100 points).

2000~2010년 사이에 국내에 출시된 황색과육 참다래 품종들은 품질 면에서는 수입산과 대등한 수준에 이르고 있다. 하지만 꽃의 유전적인 특징으로 한 개의 꽃송이의 중심 꽃 양 측면에 작은 곁꽃이 2~6개 맺히는 특징을 가지고 있다. 때문에 생산농가는 꽃피기 전에 생산성을 떨어뜨리는 이들 작은 꽃봉오리를 제거하는 작업에 많은 시간과 노력을 투여하고 있다. 최근에 육성된 참다래 품종 가운데 생산 노동력을 좀 더 줄일 수 있는 '골드원'에 대해 소개한다.

중앙대학교에서는 안성 제2캠퍼스의 상징성을 부여하고 대학건물의 임의성을 탈피, 자율성을 증대하고자 현상설계경기를 실시, 지난 1월 9일 그 결과를 발표했다. 이번 현상설계경기에는 총 5개 사무소에서 참여한 결과 당선작으로는 예지ㆍ인건축(박희성)안이 선정됐으며, 우수작은 한전건축(김수학)안이, 가작으로는 종합건축수목(한 철)안이 각각 선정됐다. 당선작과 우수작을 게재한다.

This study is to investigate the job characteristics and the job satisfaction of the administrators in small libraries. Also, it is to catch individual differences between the administrators and provide the preliminary data which is helpful to the operation of organizations and offer of information service with selection, supplement of administrators in small libraries and employment placement which is regarding individual characteristics that perceive specific job, and the job satisfaction. As a result, individual characteristics, such as marital status, gender, and age, don't affect the job characteristics, but certificates, and formation of employment influences meaningfully to the job characteristics. It convinced that the individual characteristics, such as marital status, age, and formation of employment, influence to the job satisfaction.

캐쉬의 성능을 향상시키는 가장 효과적인 방법은 프로그램 수행 특성에 내재되어 있는 시간적 (temporal locality) -공간적 지역성 (spatial locality)을 활용하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 추가적인 장치나 컴파일러의 도움 없이 단지 캐쉬의 구조적인 특징과 간단한 메커니즘만을 이용하여 두 가지 타입의 지역성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있는 새로운 캐쉬 시스템이 제안된다. 제안하는 새로운 캐쉬 시스템은 다른 블록 크기와 다른 연관도를 가지는 두 개의 캐쉬로써 구성되어 진다. 즉 작은 블록 크기를 지원하는 직접사상 캐쉬 (direct-mapped cache)와 큰 블록을 지원하는 완전 연관 버퍼 (fully-associative buffer)로 구성되어 진다. 큰 블록은 여러 개의 작은 블록으로 구성되어지며 두 캐쉬에서 접근 실패가 발생할 경우 직접사상 캐쉬의 접근 실패가 발생한 작은 블록과 그 이웃 작은 블록을 완전 연관 버퍼에 저장시킴으로써 한번 참조가 일어난 블록의 이웃 블록이 참조될 확률이 높다는 공간적 지역성의 특성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있다. 또한 참조가 일어난 블록은 제어 비트를 사용하여 선택적으로 작은 블록을 직접사상 캐쉬에 저장함으로써 시간적 지역성을 보다 효과적으로 사용할 수 있다 시뮬레이션 결과에 따르면 기존의 직접사상 캐쉬의 4배 크기보다도 좋은 성능 향상을 보이고 있으며, 동일한 크기의 victim 캐쉬보다 우수한 성능을 보이고 소비 전력 면에서는 5% 정도의 전력 감소를 보이고 있다.

접촉쌍성 가운데 질량비(q=m$_2$/m$_1$)가 0.2이하로 매우 작은 접촉쌍성은 그리 흔한 접촉 쌍성이 아니다. 현재까지 이러한 질량비가 작은 접촉쌍성들이 30개 정도가 알려져 있으며 이 가운데도 절대량이 잘 알려진 별들은 14개 정도에 불과하다. 이러한 원인은 이 별들에 대한 분광관측이 이루어져 있지 않기 때문이다. 따라서 이러한 접촉쌍성의 진화 상태를 보다 확실하게 이해하기 위하여 이러한 별들의 절대량을 얻는 것이 요구된다. 이번 연구에서는 Cereda at al.(1988)에 의하여 측광관측(B & V) 결과만 이루어진 후 궤도 요소가 알려져 있지 않은 GR Vir의 관측 자료와 함께 최근 Rucinski & Lu(1999)가 발표된 분광관측 결과를 이용하여 WD 프로그램을 적용하여 이 별의 궤도요소와 함께 절대량을 얻고 이로부터 이 별의 진화 상태를 조사하였다.

본 논문에서는 다이아몬드 탐색(diamond search, DS)과 효율적인 3 단계 탐색(efficient three-step search, E3SS) 등의 블록 정합 기법(block matching algorithm, BMA)들에서 이용된 작은 다이아몬드(small diamond) 패턴을 광역 탐색에 적합하도록 확장시킨 고속의 움직임 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘에서는 탐색 윈도우(search window)의 중앙으로부터 설치된 정사각형 패턴의 크기가 내부에서 대수적으로 감소되며 작은 다이아몬드 탐색(small diamond search, SDS) 기법에 의해 탐색이 완료된다. 실험 결과는 제안된 알고리즘이 DS 보다 평균 3개의 탐색 점을 더 적게 사용하고 E3SS에 비하여 약 5개 정도의 탐색 점 수에 대한 이득을 보이지만 움직임 추정상의 정확도는 다른 고속 BMA들과 거의 동일한 수준을 유지하는 것으로 확인된다.

This paper shows the key management system in a small metallic cabinet using a small UHF RFID tags. Each key chain with a key has a custom-designed small RFID tag antenna. There are 6 metallic racks in the small cabinet, and each rack can hold 60 key chains. Therefore, the small cabinet can hold 360 key chains with tags. The 360 key chains with RFID tags in a cabinet are recognized by RFID key chain management system. Even though it is hard to recognize 360 tags in the a cabinet, this RFID key management system with small custom designed RFID tags can recognize all the tags in the small cabinet. To read the all the tags, the locations of antennas and tag shapes are optimized. The reading rates based on the bios-version of the reader and the locations of the reader antennas are compared.
