우주 비행체용 자이로 개발 현황

  • 지상, 항공 및 우주를 이동하는 모든 물체는 반드시 자신의 자세를 결정하기 위해서 여러 가지 센서들을 장착하여 그 신호를 이용해서 자동 항법, 유도 및 제어를 수행한다. 이때, 동역학 특성이 빠른 시스템들은 반드시 각속도를 측정할 수 있어야 하는데 이를 해결하는 장비가 자이로인 것이다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 자이로를 소개하며 그 원리와 성능 그리고 적용 분야에 이르기까지 현황을 집중 분석하고 특히 세계적인 자이로 개발업체를 소개하면서 그 업체가 보유하고 있는 제품들을 일부 소개한다. 자이로는 초창기 김벌 시스템을 이용한 관성원리를 적용한 것부터 시작하여 현재는 광학 시스템을 적용한 RLG 및 FOG 자이로가 많은 분야에서 사용되고 있고, 최근 새롭게 부각되어 개발을 시작하고 있는 MEMS 자이로가 있는데 아직 우주 비행체 분야에서는 적용되지 못하고 있다. 그리고, 자이로의 큰 범주로 다루어지지는 않지만 자기력을 이용해서 회전체인 로터와 고정체인 플랫폼 사이에 기계식 접촉이 전혀 없는 새로운 시스템인 ESG 자이로도 일부 상용으로 생산되고 있다. 현재까지는 기계식 자이로의 정밀도 및 안정성이 광학식 자이로보다 우수하여 많이 사용되고 있지만 최근의 개발 추세로 보면 곧 광학식 자이로의 강세가 두드러질 것으로 보인다.

Study on the Hydrolysis Kinetics of Xylan on Different Acid Catalysts (다양한 산 촉매에서 자이란 가수분해 특성)

  • In this study, we investigated kinetic model for the acid-catalyzed xylan hydrolysis at temperature $120{\sim}150^{\circ}C$. Also, we analyzed the kinetic parameters for xylose production and furfural decomposition. The hydrolysis of xylan and the degradation of xylose were promoted by high reaction temperature and acid concentration. The optimal hydrolysis condition for the highest reaction rate constants ($k_1$) was different depending on the acid catalysts. Among sulfuric, oxalic and maleic acid, the xylan reaction rate constants ($k_1$) to xylose had the highest value of $0.0241min^{-1}$ when 100 mM sulfuric acid was used at $120^{\circ}C$. However, sulfuric acid induced more xylose degradation compared to oxalic and maleic acid hydrolysis. The activation energy for xylan degradation was the highest when sulfuric acid was used.

  • In this study, we investigated the kinetics of acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of xylan over a 60 min at $120^{\circ}C$. Sulfuric, oxalic and maleic acids were used as acid catalyst for hydrolysis. The calculated degradation rate constants ($k_1$) showed a correlation with the acid concentration, meaning that the stronger the acid, the higher the xylan degradation rate. Among sulfuric, oxalic and maleic acid catalyzed hydrolysis, the xylan degradation rate to xylose was highest with sulfuric acid. At equivalent solution pH, acid catalyzed hydrolysis was proportional to $H^+$ concentration. The $k_1$ of dicarboxylic acid such as oxalic and maleic acid was higher than that of sulfuric acid at same pH values during hydrolysis.

  • 본 논문은 소형화, 저가, 저 소비 전력의 특성을 가지는 전자기력을 이용한 실린더형 진동 자이로의 기존의 기계적 모델링이 실제 자이로스코프의 특성과 부합하지 않음을 개선하기 위해 전자기적 해석을 포함하여 기존의 기계적 모델링보다 성능을 향상시켰다. 전자기적 해석은 실린더의 진동 운동에 인해 실린더 내부에 발생된 기전력 성분 측정과 자이로스코프의 전기적 해석이다. 기전력 성분은 자이로 센싱 저항이 실린더 유무에 따른 전압 값 변화로 확인하였다. 전자기적 해석을 포함한 제안된 모델링을 통해 이론적인 자이로스코프의 특성이 실제 자이로스코프 특성에 부합되고 기존 모델링 특성보다 우수함을 비교를 통해 입증하였다.

Analysis of Active Components of Giant Black Garlic (자이언트흑마늘의 유효성분 분석)

  • Garlic has been consumed for a long time as a food in Korea. Among commercial garlic products, aged black garlic is known to contain bioactive ingredients. Giant garlic is large garlic with a mild and sweet flavor. However, there have been few studies on the bioactive effects of giant garlic. This study analyzed valid substances of giant black garlic (GBG), giant fresh garlic (GFG), normal black garlic (NBG), and normal fresh garlic (NFG). Moisture content of GBG decreased in comparison with that of GFG. Ash, crude protein, crude lipid, total pyruvate, S-allylcysteine, and S-allylmercaptocysteine contents were the highest in GBG. The pH values of GBG, GFG, NBG, and NFG were 3.77, 5.97, 3.94, and 6.10, respectively. Acidity of GBG was higher than that of GFG. Total sugar content of GBG increased while reducing sugar content was the same as that of GFG. Composition of amino acids except for histidine, lysine, and arginine in GBG was higher than that of GFG, and free amino acids excluding arginine, cysteine, lysine, phosphoethanolamine, and urea were higher than those of GFG. In minerals, Cu, Fe, and Mg contents were higher than those of GFG.

  • 강직성은 우주 공간에 대해 일정한 방향을 유지하려고 하는 성질로 뉴턴의 제1법칙인 관성력을 이용한 한 형태라고 할 수 있다. 강직성은 자체 회전축의 방향을 변화시켜려는 외력에 대항하여 자이로의 지지대를 기울여도 자이로의 축을 원위치로 유지하게 하는 성질이다. 이 성질은 3개의 변수인 로터의 질량, 반경, 회전속도에 좌우된다. 강직성을 이용하여 만든 자이로를 3축 자이로 혹은 Free Mounted Gyro라 하며 3축 자이로는 항공기 계기에서 자세기준, 방향기준을 설정하는데 이용된다.

Ettringite/Thaumasite Formation, Stability and Their Effect on Deterioration of Concrete (에트린자이트/사우마사이트의 형성 및 안정도와 콘크리트 성능저하에 미치는 영향)

  • Ettringite and thaumasite were observed in some concrete. The morphology and occurrence of these minerals were closely examined by performing SEM/EDAX analyses. We also experimentally induced the concrete deterioration using $Na_2SO_4$ solution with application of various environmental conditions. The stability of these minerals and deterioration characteristics under applied experimental conditions were determined. Abundant ettringite formed by“through solution reaction”occurred in many open spaces, and some microscopic ettringite formed by "tophochemical replacement" of calcium aluminate also occurred in cement paste. Severe cracking of cement paste causing premature deterioration was often associated with ettringite location. Under specific condition, ettringite was transformed to thaumasite, tricthloroaluminate, or decomposed. Thaumasite occurred with association of ettrinsite in concrete containing carbonate aggregate being subject to dedolomitization or in some concrete being subject to carbonation. Thaumasite appears to be formed under the similar condition to the general ettringite forming condition, but it formed solid solution with ettringite by substituting pre-existing ettringite. Ettringite can also be transformed to trichloroaluminate in the presence of abundant chlorides, but trichloroaluminate changed back to ettringite in late sulfate attack. It is considered that the substitution reaction direction solely depend on the concentration of chloride and sulfate ion.

Acid Neutralizing Capacity of Giomer in an Acidic Solution (자이오머의 산성용액에 대한 산중화능)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the acid neutralizing capacity and to observe surface changes of giomer in comparison with composite resin, when it comes in contact with an acidic solution. A packable giomer(Beautifil II) and a flowable giomer(Beautifil Flow F02) were used as experimental groups, while a packable composite resin($Filtek^{TM}$ Z-250) was used as control group. pH values were measured after mixing the specimens of the disc and powder types with a pH 2.0 hydrochloric acid solution, respectively. Also, in the case of powder type giomers used in the earlier experiment, their pH values were measured again after mixing them with a fresh acid solution. Moreover, surface structure changes of disc type specimens were observed by using a scanning electron microscopy(SEM). In the disc type test, the pH values of packable giomer were significantly increased after 24 hours(p < 0.05). In contrast, in the powder type test, the pH values of packable and flowable giomers were dramatically increased within 30 minutes. The pH value of packable giomer, in particular, was higer than that of flowable giomer(p < 0.05). In the repeated neutralizing test, the degree of pH variation was lower than that of the previous neutralizing test(p < 0.05). Erosive changes on the surface of packable giomer were observed to be more than those on composite resin and flowable giomer as well. In conclusion, giomer has a acid neutralizing capacity, when it comes in contact with an acidic solution. Especially, packable giomer with high filler content has a greater acid neutralizing capacity than flowable giomer.

  • This paper discusses recent development trends of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) in space application. Fiber optic gyroscope utilizes Sagnac effect to measure the angular rate of a rotating object in space. Having a rather short development history compared to ring laser gyroscope (RLG), the fiber optic gyroscope, owing to the emerging technologies in fiber optic society and the digital signal processing technique, reveals itself as a noteworthy replacement of the ring laser gyroscope in the space mission. This paper summarizes the current trends of fiber optic gyroscope based on the actual products commercialized in the market over the last decades, while presenting the future development trends of the fiber optic gyroscope in the space exploration.

Design of Cylindrical Vibratory Gyroscope Controller by DSP (DSP를 이용한 실린더형 진동 자이로스코프 제어기 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 DSP를 이용하여 운동하는 물체의 회전량을 측정하는 실린더형 진동 자이로스코프(이하 자이로) 제어기를 개발하였다. 진동 자이로를 구동하기 위해서는 정밀 진동제어와 신호 처리와 같은 고급 제어 기술이 필요하다. 정밀진동제어는 진동 자이로를 구동하기 위해 필요한 핵심기술로써 기존의 PLL(phase-locked loop)방식은 외부환경에 민감하여 구현이 까다로울 뿐만 아니라 자이로 개개의 고유 진동수가 다르기 때문에 대량 생산에 어려움이 있었다. 또한 자이로 출력 신호로부터 회전량을 검출하기 위해서는 진폭과 당향성 검출의 본 회로뿐만 아니라 잡음 제거와 신호 증폭, 온도 보상과 같은 전처리 과정도 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 DSP를 통해 정밀 진동제어와 잡음 제거, 방향성 검출 등의 기능들을 구현하였으며 증폭과 진폭(회전량) 검출은 아날로그 회로를 이용하였다. 또 한 외부와의 인터페이스를 위해 D/A 회로를 설계하였고 이들을 실험을 통해 검증하였다.
