A Study on Ppray Ignition Phenomena Using Shock Tube Combustion System Design (충격파관 시스템설계에 의한 분무의 착화현상 연구)

  • 계단형태의 고온발생장치로서, 고온의 흐름을 형성하고 난류유동이 없이 일정한 혼합기류를 만들 수 있는 2단격막구조 충격파관 장치를 이용하여, 혼합을 동반하지 않는 분무의 착화과정에 관한 실험을 수행하였다. 본 실험에서는 충격파관 속에 하향으로 설치된 초음파 분무기에 의해 자유낙하 상태에 있는 예혼합 분무주를 만들어서 반사충격파에 의해 순간적으로 단열압축시켜서 착화 현상을 관찰하였다. 고온영역과 저온영역에서 얻어진 활성화에너지는 큰 차이가 나며 본 연구에서 얻은 착화지연의 실험결과는 통상의 분무착화 실험인 전기로법, 급속압축기법, 고온기류속에 연료를 분사하는 방법과 다른 현상을 보였다. 그 대표적인 결과에 대한 예로는 착화지연에 대한 압력 의존성과 연료분사율의 영향이 일반적인 분무의 결과에 비해 적게 나타났다.

  • This paper deals with the finite element model of the monitor for the simulation of directional free drop tests such as backward, sideward, edge and vertex drop. The model was made for an unconditional stable solution for the explicit integration algorithm. The general behaviors at the time of impact were found to well correlate with the actual situation in terms of acceleration, displacement, contact force and stress of monitor components even though the experiment of the associated drop is performed for the validity of the model.

  • 진동시험기를 사용한 충격시험은 자유 낙하식 충격시험기를 이용하는 것 보다 여러 가지 장점이 있으며, 충격반응 스펙트럼 시험의 요구가 점점 증가하고 있다. 진동시험기를 이용하여 충격반응 스펙트럼 시험을 실시하는데 진동시험기에서 허용하는 최대 힘, 속도, 변위에 의하여 제약을 받게 된다. 충격반응 스펙트럼을 만족하는 충격파형은 무수히 많으나 최대 가속도, 속도, 변위 등이 작으면 작을수록 그 충격파형의 품질이 우수하다고 말할 수 있다. 충격 지속시간이 짧고 충격가속도의 최대치가 큰 충격파형을 인가할 수 없지만, 충격 지속시간이 보다 길고 충격가속도의 최대치가 작은 파형이 동일한 충격반응 스펙트럼 규격을 만족할 수 있다. 진동시험기를 사용하여 충격반응 스펙트럼 시험을 수행하기 위한 충격파형이 웨이브레트를 이용하여 시험규격의 충격반응 스펙트럼을 만족하도록 합성된다. 웨이브레트의 매개변수는 주파수, 반파의 개수, 지연시간, 극성이다. 각 웨이브레트의 진폭은 시험규격의 충격반응 스펙트럼을 만족하도록·반복적으로 조절된다. 이렇게 합성된 충격파형은 진동시험기를 사용한 충격반응 스펙트럼 시험의 참조 가속도 파형으로 간주된다.

  • Thicknesses of the hase concrete blocks supportmg large machmes were estimated by analyzing the res- 0 ¬nance modes of mechanical Vibrations The vibration was produced by the mechanical impact with steel ball drop and detected by a wideband comcal piezoelectric transducei. The detected signals were analyzed by FFT and thicknesses of specimen were determined by the resonant frequency of vibratIon. For the layered concrete block, the estimated thickness is dependent on the acoustic reflective index at the boundary between layers. The estimated thickness up to 100em were in goo:l agreement with the real value. In additlOn. this technique could be applicable to the estimation of the bondmg status of the layered structures.

  • 최근 정보 통신 및 우주 항공 분야 등에서 정밀한 시계에 대한 필요성이 증가함에 따라 현재의 원자시계 보다 더 우수한 원자시계에 대한 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하여 새로운 원자시계에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히, 레이저 냉각기술이 발명됨에 따라 레이저 냉각된 원자를 이용하여 원자시계를 제작하려는 연구들이 있는데, 그 중에서 원자분수 방식을 이용하는 주파수표준기가 차세대 원자시계로 기대되고 있다. 원자분수 주파수표준기는 이미 프랑스 LPTF에서 제작하여 그 불확도가 3$\times$$10^{15}$인 것으로 알려져 있다. 한국표준과학연구원에서도 1996 년부터 원자분수 주파수 표준기 개발을 위한 예비실험으로 원자의 온도를 수 $\mu$K 까지 냉각하였으며, 자유낙하하는 원자의 형광을 관측하여 온도를 측정하였다. 이러한 일련의 예비실험을 통하여 레이저 냉각 기술 및 형광측정 능력 등을 확보하고 본격적인 원자분수 주파수표준기 제작에 착수하였다.   • The package used to transport radioactive materials, which is called by cask, must be safe under normal and hypothetical accident conditions. These requirements for the cask design must be verified through test or finite element analysis. Since the cost for FE analysis is less than one for test. the verification by FE analysis is mainly used. But due to the complexity of mechanical behaviors. the results depends on how users apply the codes and it can cause severe errors during analysis. In this paper, finite element analysis is carried out for the 9 meters free drop and the puncture condition of the hypothetical accident conditions using LS-DYNA3D and ABAQUS/Explicit. We have investigated the analyzing technique for the free drop impact test of the cask and found several vulnerable cases to errors. The analyzed results were compared with each other. We have suggested a reliable and relatively simple analysis technique for the drop test of spent nuclear fuel casks.

  • LWDT was developed for use as an alternative technique to measure the stiffness of trackbed soils. In this study, numerical and theoretical analyses of LWDT's acting mechanism were performed. The effectiveness of the adapted elastic formula used for calculation of the dynamic modulus, Evd, was investigated theoretically and also numerically by running ABAQUS analysis. The minimum thickness of the upper layer is proposed based on the analysis. Correction factors for the formula of elastic modulus are also proposed in this study. In the future, following field test results and laboratory mechanical tests such as the resonant column test, a guideline for the use of LWDT as a standard test protocol in track construction sites, as a measuring tool for the degree of compaction and/or stiffness and dynamic modulus, will be proposed based on this analysis.

  • This study examined the reduction effect of a hydrodynamic force acting on the vertical wall of a portable water storage tank with a convex bottom floor. For the numerical simulation, the linearized Peregrine's equation was used to analyze the lapping waves in the tank caused by water falling from a supplying nozzle. The hydrodynamic force could be calculated by measuring the maximum run-up wave height at the vertical wall. The initial conditions of the numerical experiments were set up by controlling the positions and heights of the water supplying nozzle. Finally, the hydrodynamic force acting on the vertical wall can be reduced by the convex bottom design of the portable water storage tank so it can be applied to improve the structural stability.

Generating an Autonomous Landing Testbed of Simulated UAV applied by GA (GA를 적용한 모의 UAV의 자율착륙 테스트베드 구축)

  • In case of unmanned aerial vehicles used in modern society, there has been a problem where a human operator should be still needed to control the UAV because of a lower level of autonomy. In this paper, genetic algorithm is selected as a methodology for the autonomy accomplishment and then we verify a possibility of UAV autonomy by applying the GA. The landing is one of the important classical tasks on aerial vehicle and the lunar Landing is one of the most historical events. Autonomy possibility of computer-simulated UAV is verified by landing autonomy method of a falling body equipped with a propulsion system similar to the lunar Lander. When applying the GA, the genom is encoded only with 4 actions (left-turn, right-turn, thrust, and free-fall) and applied onto the falling body, Then we applied the major operations of GA and achieved a success experiment. A major contribution is to construct a simulated UAV where an autonomy of UAV can be accomplished while minimizing the sensor dependency. Also we implemented a test-bed where the possibility of autonomy accomplishment by applying the GA can be verified.

Performance Assessment of Flexible Wire Rope Rockfall Protection Fence for 100 kJ Energy Absorption (100 kJ 낙석에너지 흡수가 가능한 유연성 와이어로프 낙석방지울타리 성능검증)

  • In this study, a vertical drop test was carried out to identify the performance of flexible wire rope rockfall protection fence by 100 kJ rockfall energy according to ETAG 027. The flexible wire rope, which consists of wire rope and spring. is especially enhanced the elasticity and flexibility so that it can be longer elongated when the rope is impacted by rockfall compared to original wire rope, and that results longer increase of contact time between rockfall and wire rope and increase rockfall energy absorption capability and decreases rockfall impact force. The test results shows that the plastic deformation occurred in middle post and the final deflection of the middle post was 1.15 m, which is lower than 2.0 m determined by ETAG 027. This vertical test verified the flexible wire rope rockfall protection fence can successfully absorb 102.9 kJ rockfall energy.
