자원하며 대개 지하자원을 생각하게 된다. 물론 지하자원(천연자원)이 가장 중요하다. 그러나 기후적 풍토적 자원이나 인적 문화적 자원 등 분류하면 여러가지 자원이 있다. 석유파동 이후 세계각국은 부족자원의 개발과 대책에 골몰하고 있다. 우리에게 어떠한 자원이 얼마 만큼 있으며 어떻게 활용 개발할수 있을 것인다. 과기총 자원개발위원회 홍준기 위원장은 과기총 창립 9주년 기념 특별강연회에서 자원과 과학기술에 대한 새 국면을 제시햇다. 특히 우리나라 사람들의 두뇌를 개발하고 활용한다면 무서운 potential(잠재력)을 갖인 자원국이 될 것이라고 강조했다. 그 전문의 계속을 소개한다.

어촌은 바다, 섬, 자연경관, 해양레저, 수산자원 등의 다양한 해양 관광자원을 보유하고 있어 성장 잠재력이 풍부하나, 이를 통해 성장할 수 있는 기본적 인프라 및 콘텐츠가 절대적으로 부족한 실정이다. 또한 수산업 침체와 어촌인구 감소 및 고령화로 어촌 공동화 현상이 심화되고 있으며, 정주환경 저하 등 삶의 질 전반에 걸쳐 낙후된 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 어촌마을의 자원활용과 자원 간의 연계를 촉진시킴과 동시에 정주기능, 생산기능의 활성화를 도모할 수 있는 소득증대 방안을 마련하고자 함

The Chinese government and its agencies were trying in order to solve the unstability of resource supply and demand. Ministry of Land and Resources of China(MLR) carried out a lot of national-level policy and planning for estimating the domestic mineral and energy resources potential and recoverable reserves, as the Chinese land and resources survey plan(1999~2010), the Chinese mineral resource survey and exploration plan(2008~2020), announcement for shale gas industry policies of China, the Chinese shale gas resources evaluation and selection project for its development priority areas(2012), and the plan for Chinese shale gas development(2011~2015). The two large sedimentary basins of Chinese shale gas reserves are Sichuan and Tarim basins with excellent potential, accounting for majority of the estimated national reserves. Recoverable gas-bearing shale of China was surveyed to be widespread. The volume of recoverable shale gas reservoirs in China has been estimated to be around 31 trillion cubic meters(1,115 trillion cubic feet). China is one of only three countries with the US and Canada to produce shale gas in commercial quantities. China is concentrating on technology development to enhance commercial production of shale gas, and on survey and exploration activities to increase its recoverable reserves. The trends related to shale gas development and R&D activities in China to respond to changes in international oil market should be actively monitored based on analysis of Chinese policies and technology.

인류에게 있어 가장 중요한 연료의 역할을 충실히 해왔던 임산자원이 화석계 에너지원의 고갈과 환경오염 문제의 급부상으로 임산자원의 신재생에너지원으로서의 잠재력이 다시 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 임산자원의 에너지화와 그 산업적 응용을 위하여 원료의 수급체계를 검토, 확립하는 한편, 폐목질자원을 펠릿화한 목재펠릿 연료의 제조공정을 국내 환경을 고려하여 고효율화하는 동시에 본 연료를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하고자 하였다.

동남아시아 특히 아세안(ASEAN)국가들이 2000년대에 세계 경제의 주도권을 행사할 잠재력을 보유하고 있음은 의심의 여지가 없다. 그러나 아세안국가들이 인종과 부존자원의 적절한 균형으로 선진국 대열에 동참하게 되겠지만, "안보"라는 커다란 과제에 봉착하게 될 것이다

This study aims to study the definition and characteristics of forest biomass as an alternative energy and to estimate the energy potential and feasibility of forest biomass utilization in domestic. Especially, significant attention is given to woody biomass such as forest residue, thinning log, etc. due to their renewable, sustainable and abundant properties. The results were summarized as follows. The utilization of these forest biomass could play an important role to activate the forest industry and increase the public benefit functions of forest, but more attention on their utilization is required and how they can be utilize more efficiently is the new task assigned to our forestry for sustainable forest management.

보편적으로 들수 있는 상용에너지 공급원으로는 신탄, 석탄, 석유, 천연가스, 수력을 들 수 있고 최근에는 핵분열(Nuclear Fission)을 이용한 원자력이 장래 에너지 공급원으로 가장 유망시되고 있다. 이 밖에 아직 상용으로 각광을 받지 못하고 있지만 금후 개발잠재력(Development Potential)을 갖고 있는 조력, 풍력, 태양열, 지열등이 있다. 이중 풍력은 주로 농사용 양수동력에 조력, 태양열, 지열은 발전용으로 상당히 이용되고 있는 지감도 있다. 본 고에서는 일차에너지인 수력, 석탄, 석유 천연가스 핵자원등에 대하여 살펴보기로 한다.
