This study was attempted a study on the naturopathic uitilization among chronic renal disease patients. Data was surveyed using interview and questionnaires by 165 patients of naturopathic utilization who visited the renal medical department of a general hospital which was located in Seoul from April 13 to May 13, 2010. The results were as follows ; First, the period of naturopathic utilization is the most in early disease(52.1%). Secondly, there was a significant positive correlation between the number of naturopathic utilization and expenditure a month(r=.251. p<.01). Thirdly, naturopathic utilization increased as the longer period of naturopathic utilization, the higher expenditure a month, the more age. In conclusion, factors influencing naturopathic utilization were the period of naturopathic utilization. expenditure a month, and age.

현재 사용되고 있는 갱년기 증상 치료에는 호르몬요법등과 같은 방법이 사용 되고 있으나, 일부의 부작용으로 인하여 선진국에서는 다른 방법을 모색하는 단계에 이르렀다. 이에 본 연구자는 대체 의학적인 방법으로 고대로 부터 자연요법 으로 사용 되어진 향기요법을 사용하여 갱년기 증상에 미치는 효과를 연구 하였다. 실험 군 23명과 대조 군 22명 에게 향기요법 적용여부에 따른 차이를 조사한 결과 관절, 골격 통증에 대하여는 유의한 효과를 발견하지 못하였으나 신경, 정신 증상에 있어서는 괄목 할만 한 차이를 발견할 수 있었다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to study the efficacy of qigong therapy for various illnesses. Methods: Healing of a variety of patients and people connected to a hospital at the East-West Medical Hospital in Vienna, Austria, was carried out. A total of 38 healers healed from 1,131 people in a total of 3 times in the hospital, and the evaluation of healing efficiency conducted by 134 physician evaluation teams in the hospital itself. Results: In 2002, 80% of the patients had a "good" healing efficiency for 96 patients treated at the first session in the hospital. In the second round of 2004, the satisfaction rate of healing efficiency was over 75%. In the third session in 2006, 71.6% were satisfied with the satisfaction level of "Good," and 1,131 people evaluated with an average of 75.5%. This result suggests that qigong healing is very efficient. Conclusions: The average healing efficiency of soojung qigong for various diseases was 75.5% or higher, indicating that qigong is one of the best natural healing therapies.

For evaluating the effect of triple therapy on eradication of gastric Helicobacter species infection in dogs, 7 dogs that had naturally acquired Helicobacter spp. infections were administered amoxicillin, metronidazole and omeparazole orally for 14 days. Changes of infection state were determined by urease test for gastric biopsies and Helicobacter specific PCR analysis for gastric biopsies and fecal samples at 7, 14 days after triple therapy and 30 days after cessation of triple therapy. Although negative results for urease test were obtained 6 of 7 dogs at 14 days after starting triple therapy, PCR analysis for gastric biopsies and fecal samples showed negative results in 3 and 4 dogs respectively. At 30 days after cessation of triple therapy, all tests showed negative results in 3 dogs. Based on these results, diagnostic tests for detercting Helicobacter spp. infection are recommended in dogs having chronic gastritis sign (usually intermittent vomiting) and triple therapy described in this study can be applied for eradicating the organism if the animals were proved to be infected.

The purpose of this study is to consider of fasting cure as natural healing and holistic medicine. As a study method, this author conducted a literature review to figure out the history and meaning of fasting found in religious thoughts and studied the cases applying fasting to either mental or physical healing analytically. According to the study results, first, in terms of religious thoughts, fasting plays significant roles mentally, and the act of fasting influences mankind's mind considerably. Second, fasting as a means of humans' mental and physical healing has been playing significant roles as the medical act of natural healing that has been transmitted from a long time ago. As a result, this author has found that fasting cure has great value as holistic medicine based on natural healing. Based on the implications of this study, this researcher expects that this study will be used as fundamental material to provide the directions and grounds of fasting cure as efficient healing in the aspects of holistic medicine exerting effects on chronic disease resulted from habits or diseases caused by stress, a factor that results in many different kinds of diseases in this age.
