A New Approach for the Solution of Multi-Dimensional Neutron Kinetics Equations in LWR's (경수로에 대한 다차원 노심 동특성 방정식의 해를 구하기 위한 새로운 방법 개발)

  • The intent of this study is to develop an efficient calculation method which can be used to analyze the heterogeneous time-dependent reactor problems. By using the nodal theory one can not only reduce the calculational efforts, but accurately determine the group dependent flux densities averaged over the entire homogeneous nodes. This method uses correction factors(called“discontinuity factors”) in a rigorous manner to obtain the relationship between the node-averaged flux and the surface-averaged fluxes and currents. The discontinuity factors are calculated from the node-averaged fluxes, diffusion coefficients, and the discontinuity factors of the previous time step. The test results for two benchmark problems demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the method developed for the transient application in which assembly-size nodes can be used.

  • Air-gap was introduced to suppress the saturation of the iron core comprising the flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) with parallel connection of two coils. However, the air-gap makes the impedance of this SFCL decreased and can result in unusefulness of the SFCL. To analyze the current limiting characteristics of the SFCL with the air-gap, the experimental circuit for short-circuit test was constructed. Through the comparison with the current limiting characteristics of the SFCL without air-gap, the merit and the demerit of the flux-lock type SFCL with the air-gap were discussed.

  • The paper reports an improvement method on torque ripples of multi-pole interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) applied to a traction motor for hybrid electric vehicles. In the case of multi-pole IPMSM, the magnetic flux generated by a permanent magnet tends to leak through the bridge of the rotor without a link with stator windings. The slit design on the rotor surface was proposed to reduce torque rippling and increase the output power by reducing the leakage flux. Two design parameters for the slit are suggested for optimal design using the response surface method. As an analysis method, the 2D finite element method (FEM) was applied to consider magnetic saturation effect.

  • 변압기 코어소재로 사용하는 방향성 규소강판의 가공 방법에 따른 물성을 조사하기 위하여 테이프 와인딩 코어 형태, 곡률반경을 20, 30, 40mm로 하여 토로이달 형태 변압기 시료의 B-H 자성 특성을 조사하였다. 곡률반경이 40mm, 높이는 10mm의 비율에서 보자력은 0.02Oe, 포화자속밀도는 0.98, 1.85T으로 보자력(Hc)은 낮고 포화자속일도(Bs)는 제일 큰 값을 나타내었고, 국내에서 생산되고 있는 방향성 규소강판의 자속밀도값 보다 약간 크게 나타났으며, 본 연구로부터 방향성 규소강판을 이용하여 권자심 코어을 제작할 때 고려해야하는 탄성변형에 대한 중요성과 코어 소재의 가공방법이 자기적 특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 또한 토로이달 코어형태의 변압기를 설계 제작시 높이와 곡율반경, 가공 방법에 따라 용량, 효율 등이 다르므로 사전에 소재의 물성을 면밀히 검토 후에 전기기기에 적용해야함을 재확인하였다.

  • 고온 초전도체를 이용한 자속구속형 사고전류제한기는 1차권선과 2차권선을 감는 방향이나 감은 횟수의 비율에 따라서 부하전류용량과 전류제한용량이 다르다. 부하전류용량은 사고 발생 시 최초의 전류 제한 레벨과 밀접하게 관련이 되는데 자속구속형 사고전류제한기에서 최초의 전류 제한 레벨은 인덕턴스에 의해서 결정되기 때문이다. 전류제한용량은 사고전류제한기의 임피던스와 관계된다. 이 논문에서 자속구속형 사고전류제한기의 변압기 특성을 변화시키면서 부하전류용량과 전류제한용량의 변화를 살펴보았다.

  • This study is implemented as a sensor-less position controller capable of multi-turn detection to replace the expensive absolute encoder used in the turret servo system. For sensor-less control, the position information of the rotor is essential. For this, a magnetic flux estimator was implemented from the mathematical model of IPMSM used in the turret servo system. The position of the rotor and the angular velocity of the rotor were obtained using the rotor magnetic flux calculated from the magnetic flux estimator. Using the zero-crossing technique, one pulse was generated for each rotation of the estimated rotor magnetic flux to measure the number of multi-turns. Simulation and experiment results confirmed the usefulness of the proposed method.

  • This paper focuses on the design of microspeakers with minimum flux leakage, for use in radiotelegraphy. The response surface methodology (RSM) is applied as the optimization technique for obtaining a large magnetic force and a small flux leakage on diaphragm. The object functions of this optimization are the magnetic force and the flux leakage along three factors; pole piece thickness, magnet grade and yoke thickness, which are determined by the design of the experiment. The magnetic force and the flux leakage are calculated for each condition and optimized by results evaluated with RSM. For a pole piece thickness of 0.9 mm, a magnet grade of N42H and a yoke thickness of 0.75 mm, the magnetic force is satisfied as initial model and flux leakage is decreased to 11.8% than initial model.

  • The fault current limiting characteristics of a flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) according to fault angles were investigated. From the electrical equivalent circuit with the magnetization branch, the inner magnetic flux of this SFCL due to fault angles was induced and its effect on the limited fault current was analyzed. From the fault current limiting experiments, the exciting current, which described the saturation of the iron core, was calculated and its dependence on the fault angle was analyzed. Before the fault happened, the exciting current did not happen, that it kept zero value. However, after the fault happened, the exciting current flowed and, the exciting current in case of the additive polarity winding showed higher value than for the case of the subtractive polarity winding. The analysis results were compared with the experimental ones, and experimental results agreed with the analysis ones.

  • This paper investigates a new sensorless control appling a virtual flux oriented vector control without the line voltage sensor for the power factor correction of 3 phase PWM converter. The DC output voltage is controlled by applying the kalman filter algorithm for the virtual flux estimation and the synchronous phase is obtained by using the estimated virtual flux equation based on kalman filter. This method is used to reduce the calculation time of the system and obtain a stable control that the input current including the harmonics and the noise is improved. The proposed system implement PFC algorithm in the variable region of DC output voltage. It can obtain the unity power factor, and can precisely control the DC output voltage in the load variation and in the variable voltage range. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiment.

Quantifying of Photon Flux Emitting from Light-emitting Diodes Using a Quantum Sensor and Spectroradiometer (광량자센서와 분광광도계를 이용한 발광다이오우드 광량자속의 정량화)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the opto-electric characteristics of light-emitting diodes(LED) designed for growth and morphogenesis control of transplant and to quantify the photon flux emittig from LED using a quantum sensor spectroradiometer. Difference in photon flux for blue and red LED between measured by a quantum sensor and measured by a spectroradiometer and numerically integrated was not observed. This result implies a spectroradiometer can be applied to quantify the photon flux emitting from far-red LED, which can not be measured using a quantum sensor. Since photon flux increases in proportion to wavelength, photon flux of LED modules arranged for red and far-red increased in proportion to wavelength, photon flux of LED modules arranged for red and rar-red increased gradually as the number of LED stick emitting far-red in LEd modules increased. Illumination of LED modules arranged for red and far-red decreased as the number of LED stick emitting far-red in LED modules increased. There was no difference in irradiance between LED modules arranged for red and far-red.
