A Study on Workload Evaluation of Hand-intensive tasks of carpenters and structural steel workers (건축공사 목공 및 철근공의 수작업 부하 평가에 관한 연구)

  • It is crucial that the WRMSD is realized as a critical job-related diseases for the construction workers. It is caused by the characteristics of repetitive work, uncomfortable work methods and continuous unsuitable physical posture. The objective of this research is to evaluate the workload for the carpenters and structural steel workers. Investigation on the posture and behavior for the workers as well as personal sensitivity to the workload is conducted. The laboratory tests with graduate students are conducted to estimate inconvenience in terms of personal sensitivity to the workload. The results of this research will be used to perform the further researches on ergonomic and technological approaches to improvements of the hand-intensive tasks in the construction industry.

  • Modern people is generated as musculoskeletal diseases due to incorrect posture and habit. In the case of persistent abnormal posture outbreak inconvenient to musculoskeletal diseases in daily life. musculoskeletal diseases, which began as fatigue, pain, sensory paralysis, convulsions are developed symptoms of movement disorders, depression, deformities, etc. In this paper, the unrestrained abnormal posture and habit of occurring in the seat life, have implemented a system which can be determined in less unconscious way. By placing eight pressure sensors in the seat part, determines the posture over the distribution of the weight, it is possible to determine one normal posture and eight abnormal posture that occurs frequently in daily life. To evaluate the performance of the implemented system, the attitude determination experiment was performed. The results confirmed the high performance of 97%.

Patient Radiation Exposure Dose Evaluation of Whole Spine Scanography Due to Exposure Direction (Whole Spine Scanography의 검사방향에 따른 환자 선량 평가)

  • Whole spine scanography (WSS) is a radiological examination that exposes the whole body of the individual being examined to x-ray radiation. WSS is often repeated during the treatment period, which results in a much greater radiation exposure than that in routine x-ray examinations. The aims of the current study were to evaluate the patient dose of WSS using computer simulation, image magnification and angulation of phantom image using different patient position. We evaluated the effective dose(ED) of 23 consecutive patients (M : F = 13:10) who underwent WSS, based on the automatic image pasting method for multiple exposure digital radiography. The Anterior-Posterior position(AP) and Posterior-Anterior position( PA) projection EDs were evaluated based on the PC based Monte Carlo simulation. We measured spine transverse process distance and angulation using DICOM measurement. For all patient, the average ED was 0.069 mSv for AP position and 0.0361 mSv for PA position. AP position calculated double exposure then PA position. For male patient, the average ED was 0.089 mSv(AP) and 0.050 mSv(PA). For female patient, the average ED was 0.0431 mSv(AP) and 0.026 mSv(PA). The transverse process of PA spine image measured 5% higher than AP but angulation of transverse process was no significant differences. In clinical practice, just by change the patient position was conformed to reduce the ED of patient. Therefor we need to redefine of protocol for digital radiography such as WSS. whole spine scanography, effective dose, patient exposure dose, exposure direction. protocol optimization.

  • 산업의 발전과 함께 소비3자의 욕구는 제품의 질적, 감성적 향상을 요구하고 있으며, 또한 최근 각종 공학의 눈부신 발전에 힘입어서 자동차의 성능, 안락성 등이 크게 향상되면서 운전자의 운전 중 피로감 제거에 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 주관적인 피로감 평가 방식 중 졸림감(KSS), 피로감 용어 및 신체 불편도를 이용하여 평가를 수행하였다. 졸림감 및 피로감 용어는 차종 및 자세에 따라 약간의 차이가 있었지만, 대체적으로 시간이 지남에 따라 불편함의 정도가 심해졌다. 신체 불편도에 대한 평가결과 엉덩이, 요추, 어때, 좌우 발목 부위가 불편한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들은 차종별 또는 운전자세에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이기도 했다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해서 동환경 시스템의 기초 데이터를 확보할 뿐만 아니라, 자동차를 설계하는데 있어, 보다 안락하고 편안한 운전환경을 만들 수 있는 기초자료로써 활용이 가능할 것이다.

Performance Assessment for Mathematically Gifted (수학영재교육에서의 관찰평가와 창의력평가)

  • The study aims to figure out how to improve existing examination tools to distinguish mathematically gifted children and to clarify procedures and criteria for selecting candidates. Toward this end, it examined correlations between grades of gifted children selected through evaluation by pen-and-pencil tests and their creative problem-solving capability and performance assessment, and analyzed learning activities of the gifted children. According to the analysis, results of pen-and-pencil tests turned out to have low correlations with their creative problem-solving capability and performance assessment, but it was found that their creative problem-solving capability has high correlations with results of performance assessment. The analysis also found that there were some students who participated in a program for gifted children with high marks but had difficulties in adapting themselves to it. It found that there were children who joined the program with low marks but emerged as successive performers later on. In this regard, the existing examination tools to tell the gifted students apart need to be used to the fullest extent, and other diversified tools to evaluate mathematical capabilities that include mathematical creativity need to be further studied and developed. Qualitative studies on affective development of the gifted students and their creative problem-solving processes need to be conducted.

  • 3차원 물체의 탐지와 자세 추정은 실내외 환경에서 장면 이해, 로봇의 물체 조작 작업, 자율 주행, 증강 현실 등과 같은 다양한 응용 분야들에서 공통적으로 요구되는 매우 중요한 시각 인식 기술이다. 깊이 지도를 요구하는 기존 연구들과는 달리, 본 논문에서는 RGB 컬러 영상만을 이용해 미지의 물체들, 즉 3차원 CAD 모델을 가지고 있지 않은 새로운 물체들을 탐지해내고, 이들의 자세를 추정해낼 수 있는 새로운 신경망 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델에서는 최근 빠른 속도로 발전하고 있는 깊이 추정 기술을 이용함으로써, 깊이 측정 센서 없이도 물체 자세 추정에 필요한 깊이 지도를 컬러 영상에서 구해낼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 벤치마크 데이터 집합을 이용한 실험을 통해, 제안 모델의 유용성을 평가한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 사람의 손에 관한 개별적으로 분리되어 진행되고 있는 손 위치 추정, 손 자세 추정, 손 동작 인식 작업을 통합하는 Faster-RCNN기반의 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 제안된 프레임워크에서는 RGB 동영상을 입력으로 하여, 먼저 손 위치에 대한 박스를 생성하고, 생성된 박스 정보를 기반으로 손 자세와 동작을 인식하도록 한다. 손 위치, 손 자세, 손 동작에 대한 정답을 동시에 모두 가지는 데이터셋이 존재하지 않기 때문에 Egohands, FPHA 데이터를 동시에 효과적으로 사용하는 방안을 제안하였으며 제안된 프레임워크를 FPHA데이터에 평가하였다., 손 위치 추정 정확도는 mAP 90.3을 기록했고, 손 동작 인식은 FPHA의 정답을 사용한 정확도에 근접한 70.6%를 기록하였다.

Predictive Modeling Design for Fall Risk of an Inpatient based on Bed Posture (침대 자세 기반 입원 환자의 낙상 위험 예측 모델 설계)

  • This study suggests a design of predictive modeling for a hospital fall risk based on inpatients' posture. Inpatient's profile, medical history, and body measurement data along with basic information about a bed they use, were used to predict a fall risk and suggest an algorithm to determine the level of risk. Fall risk prediction is largely divided into two parts: a real-time fall risk evaluation and a qualitative fall risk exposure assessment, which is mostly based on the inpatient's profile. The former is carried out by recognizing an inpatient's posture in bed and extracting rule-based information to measure fall risk while the latter is conducted by medical staff who examines an inpatient's health status related to hospital fall risk and assesses the level of risk exposure. The inpatient fall risk is determined using a sigmoid function with recognized inpatient posture information, body measurement data and qualitative risk assessment results combined. The procedure and prediction model suggested in this study is expected to significantly contribute to tailored services for inpatients and help ensure hospital fall prevention and inpatient safety.

Estimation of Attitude Control for Quadruped Walking Robot Using Load Cell (로드셀을 이용한 4족 보행로봇의 자세제어 평가)

  • In this paper, each driving motor for leg joints on a robot is controlled by estimating the direction of the legs measuring each joint angle and attitude angle of robot. We used quadruped working robot named TITAN-VIII in order to carry out this experimental study. 4 load cells are installed under the bottom of 4 legs to measure the pressed force on each leg while it's walking. The walking experiments of the robot were performed in 8 different conditions combined with duty factor, the length of a stride, the trajectory height of the foot and walking period of robot. The validity of attitude control for quadruped walking robot is evaluated by comparing the pressed force on a leg and the power consumption of joint driving motor. As a result, it was confirmed that the slip-condition of which the foot leave the ground late at the beginning of new period of the robot during walking process, which means the attitude control of the robot during walking process wasn't perfect only by measuring joint and attitude angle for estimating the direction of the foot.

Impact Analysis of nonverbal multimodals for recognition of emotion expressed virtual humans (가상 인간의 감정 표현 인식을 위한 비언어적 다중모달 영향 분석)

  • Virtual human used as HCI in digital contents expresses his various emotions across modalities like facial expression and body posture. However, few studies considered combinations of such nonverbal multimodal in emotion perception. Computational engine models have to consider how a combination of nonverbal modal like facial expression and body posture will be perceived by users to implement emotional virtual human, This paper proposes the impacts of nonverbal multimodal in design of emotion expressed virtual human. First, the relative impacts are analysed between different modals by exploring emotion recognition of modalities for virtual human. Then, experiment evaluates the contribution of the facial and postural congruent expressions to recognize basic emotion categories, as well as the valence and activation dimensions. Measurements are carried out to the impact of incongruent expressions of multimodal on the recognition of superposed emotions which are known to be frequent in everyday life. Experimental results show that the congruence of facial and postural expression of virtual human facilitates perception of emotion categories and categorical recognition is influenced by the facial expression modality, furthermore, postural modality are preferred to establish a judgement about level of activation dimension. These results will be used to implementation of animation engine system and behavior syncronization for emotion expressed virtual human.
