Relationship between Fatty Acid Composition of Phospholipid from Leaves and Cold Tolerance of Rice Plants (벼의 내냉성과 잎조직인지질의 지방산 조성과의 상관관계)

  • The fatty acid composition of phospholipid from the leaves of rice plants grown at $28^{\circ}C$ and harvested at the 3-4 leaf stage was determined for 8 cultivars. Change among cultivars observed in the composition has been found to be correlative to the chilling susceptivity of the plants at the given leaf-stage. The chilling-resistant cultivars contain phospholipid with higher degree of unsaturation and larger relative proportion of unsaturated fatty acids than the chilling-sensitive ones. The indices for unsaturation of phospholipid from a cultic-ar are well in accordance with its resistance to cold damage. clearly demonstrating that the fluidity of biomembrane which is generally regarded as the prerequisite for a cell to maintain its membrane-related physiological activity at a low temperature is exclusively controlled by the fatty acid composition of phospholipid. Also identified were the components of phospholipid, which are phosphatidyl serine and phosphatidyl coline as major components and phosphatidyl inositol as minor component plus 3 phospholipids in trace proportion, from every cultivar at the early growth-stage.

  • A. calcoaceticus C10 grown on cyclohexanol as sole source of carbon and energy produced cyclohexanol dehydrogenase(CDH) and glucose dehydrogenase (GDH) concomitantly. CDH and GDH were different in coenzyme, induction and electrophoretic patterns. CDH depended for activity on $NAD^+$ only, while GDH required $NAD^+$ or $NADP^+$ alternatively. CDH was produced in the medium added cyclohexanol, but GDH was produced in various media such as LB, LB added 0.2% glucose or cyclohexanol and cyclohexanol medium. Productivity of CDH in A. calcoaceticus C10 was enhanced about 8 times by the addition of 0.2% cyclohexanol to LB medium after 4 hours as much as LB medium only. Production of CDH was induced by cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, cyclohexan-1,2-diol and cyclohexene oxide, but not induced by ${\varepsilon}-caprolactone$ and adipate.

Comparison of Physiological Activity in Different Parts of Dolsan Leaf Mustard (돌산 갓의 부위별 생리활성 작용의 비교)

  • Physiological activity in different parts of Dolsan leaf mustard (DLM) was investigated. To determine the physiological activity, DLM was crushed filtered centrifuged and then the supernatant was used as a sample. of 1%, 3% and 6%. By adding of improved root juice(20th day) with the concentration of 6% the cytotoxicity against HepG2 was the highest about 78.2%. And antioxidative effects in different parts of DLM was measured by using the DPPH method. Antioxidative effects was higher in all leaves than other parts. In particular antioxidative effects was the highest in leaves of traditional DLM at the 20th day of growth about 80.4%. In leaves of improved DLM at the 60th growth angiotensin-I converting enzyme inhibitory effect was the highest about 94.0%. Consequently there was not significant difference of physiological activity between improved and traditional DLM. However the cytotoxicity against HepG2 was the highest in roots of DLM. And the antioxidative and the ACE inhibitory effect in leaves of DLM were higher than those of other parts.

  • 본 연구는 국내에 자생하는 자원식물들의 살초활성을 조사하여 식물생장억제물질을 활용한 환경친화형 제초제 개발에 요구되는 기초 자료를 확보하기 위해 수행되었다. 국내 자생 식물 101종을 식물체 부위별로 나누어 MeOH로 추출하여 획득된 시료 129점에 대해 돌피(Echinocholoa crus-galli P.B. var. formosensis Ohwi)를 이용한 살초활성 검정을 실시하였다. 시료를 소량의 methanol로 녹여 직경 5.5cm petri dish 상의 Whatman No. 2 여지에 균일하게 흡착시킨 후, fume hood 내에서 용매를 제거하고 1mL의 증류수를 첨가하였다. 돌피 종자를 15립씩 3반복으로 파종하여 $28^{\circ}C$, 5,000lux의 growth chamber에 치상하고, 7일 후 시험구 당 균일하게 자란 10개의 유묘를 선발해 초장 및 근장을 조사하였으며, 살초활성 평가를 위해 대조구 개체의 초장과 근장에 대한 생장억제율을 산출하였다. $1,000{\mu}g/mL$ 농도에서 101종 129점 MeOH 추출물들의 돌피 유묘 뿌리 생장에 대한 억제율을 조사한 결과, 80% 이상을 나타낸 식물 시료는 가죽나무 줄기, 누린내풀 지상부, 단풍취 뿌리, 두릅나무 지상부, 백양꽃 전초, 백양꽃 지하부, 병조희풀 경엽부, 산사나무 잎 가지, 삽주 뿌리, 상사화 전초, 상사화 지하부, 석산 뿌리, 애기송이풀 전초 등 17점이었다. 이들 중 90% 이상 고활성을 나타낸 단풍취 뿌리, 두릅나무 지상부, 백양꽃 전초, 상사화 지하부, 석산 뿌리 유래의 추출물에는 새로운 환경친화형 제초제 개발소재로써 활용할 수 있는 살초활성물질들이 함유되어 있는 것으로 생각된다.

  • This study is a study on the user experience of mobile Fintech service of the Z generation, and the past Finance was one of the industries that users felt difficult. However, the Z generation, who grew up in the digital environment, feels comfortable with mobile payment. This study is limited to Kakaopay and Toss, which are representative domestic Fintech services, and aims to suggest the direction of domestic Fintech services in the future. A total of 8 subjects were interviewed by the target group interview and the survey was conducted simultaneously. As a result of the study, Z generation was greatly influenced by various factors such as corporate brand, image, character, and event in addition to economic aspect. Also, it is considered most in the field of reliability and value, so a strategy is needed to secure it. In the future, we expect the development of Fintech service reflecting the needs of Z generation that will lead consumption in the future.

Gratitude Experience of Mothers who cares Child with Chronic Schizophrenia (만성조현병환자 어머니의 감사경험)

  • This study was done to explore deeply the essence and meaning of gratitude experience of mothers who cares child with schizophrenia. This study was analysed through the use of the phenomenological method of Giorgi. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and field records with five motheres who cares child with schizophrenia. Data analysis revealed 18 sub-components, 5 components: 'I'm like fallen seed on barren soil without gratitude', 'gratitude coming into bud like sprout,' 'gratitude grown up into a tree through tolerance', 'gratitude bearing fruit of self-sufficiency and desire', and 'gratitude getting much richer with giving. The results from the study contribute to promoting understanding of the gratitude experience of mothers who cares child with schizophrenia and will be helpful for development of positive family nursing intervention.

Lactase activity in yoghurt and lactic acid bacteria (요구르트와 유산균에서의 Lactase Activity)

  • Individual starter culture were inoculated into liquid medium and incubated at $40^{\circ}C$ for 16 hours. Whole cell were obtained and evaluated for ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity using orthonitrophenyl-${\beta}-D-galactopyranoside$ (ONPG) as substrate. S. thermophilus had more ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity than other Lactobacilli did. To study the effect of storage temprature on enzyme activity of yoghurt, some samples of cultured yoghurt were stored under refrigeration $(4^{\circ}C)$, and the others under room temperature $(23^{\circ}C)$. At $4^{\circ}C$, yoghurt had ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity and many viable bacteria in 1 month. After 20 days, yoghurt had maximum ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity. At $23^{\circ}C$, yoghurt had ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity by 5 days. As this experiment shown ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity was ascribed to viable bacteria, especially S. thermophillus. Commercial yoghurt had lower ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activity. There were considerable variations with regard to the lactose hydrolyzing capabilities of commercial yoghurt samples.

Assessing Average Residence Time as a Physical Descriptor for Shellfish Farming Areas in Jaran Bay, Korea (자란만 패류양식해역의 물리환경 설명을 위한 평균체류시간 산정)

  • Residence time is defined as the time taken for a material in a system to leave the system. The residence time characteristics in shellfish aquaculture determine the dispersion of excretion from aquaculture farms, along with the supply of food by seawater exchange. In this study, we estimated the spatial distribution of average residence time in the shellfish farming area using a particle tracking model. As a result, a relatively short average residence time of about 20 days or less was calculated in most areas, but an average residence time of more than 40 days was calculated in the inner areas. Relatively long average residence times were calculated along the west coast compared to the east coast, with the longest average residence time of more than 50 days in the northwestern areas. It can be inferred that the disturbance of the benthic ecosystem caused by shellfish farms is likely to be large because of the relatively weak dispersion of excrement from shellfish farms located on the west coast, especially in the northwest region. This distribution of average residence time is important for understanding the potential effects of seawater exchange on the environmental sustainability of shellfish farms, along with the seawater circulation characteristics of Jaran Bay.

Root and Top Growth of Panax ginseng at Various Soil Moisture Regime (토양수분 함량별 인삼의 근 및 지상부 생육)

  • Effect of soil water on the growth of Panax ginseng(2 years old) was investigated through pot experiment. the results were as follows. 1. Optimum soil moisture content for root yield appeared to be 65.5% of field capacity(22.1% fresh weight basis) and at 31.5%(10.7% fresh weight basis) relative growth rate was nil. 2. Under suboptimum condition of soil moisture, emergence of shoot and leaf unfolding was delayed. The rate of emergence of shoot and leaf area was also decreased while missing shoot rate was increased. 3. Root yield was positively correlated with leaf area per plant(r=0.91 **), stem diameter (r=0.73**), stem length(r=0.71 **) fresh top yield(r=0.93**) and negatively with missing shoot rate(r=-0.77**). 4. Fresh root weight showed negative correlation(r=-0.80**) with water content of root indicating that tissue is more compact when grown at sufficient water.

  • This study is an autoethnography from the perspective of Erikson's psychosocial development to investigate how gender discrimination has affected the development of one person. Research materials were diaries, essays, phone interviews, and interviews. As a result, this study indicated that the wounds suffered during infancy persisted for a long time. After growing up, although it was possible to change one's ideas of gender discrimination by learning, it seemed difficult to overcome from trauma completely. Therefore, this study is meaningful to show the understanding of the development of an individual through a social problem and can be expanded to research the same subject by combining other categories.
