  • This paper is purpose to manufacture of inhibitor switch using CAM systems. CAM systems are consist of CAD(AutoCAD), CAM(Omega) software and CNC milling machine. CAM software is purpose to G-code generation for CNC programming. Then CAM software and CNC milling machine are connect to RS-232-C cable for data network.

  • A study to reduce the transient torque in shifting in automatic transmission has been very important issue. Recently it is really dominant to decrease the torque by using independent-acting hydraulic circuit because we can control the clutch pressure actively and elaborately. So we design the new hydraulic circuit to control the clutches in automatic transmission and make the module library of computer simulations, We apply the results to GM model automatic transmission and carry out 1longrightarrow4 shifting simulations. By this work we recognize the capability of active and elaborate clutch pressure control using new hydraulic circuit. In addition We develop the tool to simulate the powertrain system. It is easier to update and exchange the subsystem model or parameters than conventional simulation tools.

  • Due to the increasing demands in comfortable drivability, most motor companies are developing their own unique shift controller to suppress the shift shock induced by gear change. For a typical automatic transmission system, the dynamic constraints of friction clutch was clarified for efficient program development and major factors effecting the shift transient was confirmed by simulation study. The MIMO LQG/LTR controller was designed to control the turbine and corresponding gear speed. By establishing the control strategy recalling transient response during shift the speed controller mentioned above was used as an indirect torque controller. Consequently a new concept for a systematic design method of shift controller applicable to wide-varying systems was suggested which is time efficient and cost efficient saving a lot of experimental study.

  • This study investigated the effect of the changes in metal characteristics due to the hot forging on SCR420HB applied to ensure the optimal production of the hot-forging ratio on the mechanical properties of an automotive automatic transmission gear. The microstructural changes in the forging ratio were investigated by adjusting the forging range into multiple ranges from alloy steel. This was done in order to set the optimum forging range given the manufacturing process conditions during the hot forging of alloy steel parts with a carbon content of more than 0.8% wt. The effects of the content change in the microstructure on the mechanical properties due to the use of the part were examined.

  • The roller bearings play an important role not only sustain radial or axial load of system, but carry out a rotatory movement as a various operating conditions. They happen that incipient faults which were caused by excessive load, manufacturing or assembling process's errors and many other reasons are created. The bearing faults make noise and vibration by a continuous collision of rotatory components, which can lower the quality and stability of auto-transmission. Therefore, it is important to detect the early fault as soon as possible. This paper presents a detecting method for the improvement in quality by developing the program which can be used to analyze and predict the vibrational characteristics caused by roller bearing faults. We completed development of the inspection system of vibration by appling the most efficient detecting methods and verified the system's reliability through experiments.

  • Every design activity has a goal of satisfying a set of functional requirement. The commencement of a design, therefore, must have its foundation upon the identification of the functional requirements. Many of the design practices of the industrial examples can be categorized as design of small systems that are defined to have limited and fixed sets of functional requirements to be satisfied at all times. In the case of small systems it facilitates the construction of a knowledge-based system for a specific purpose to decompose the functional requirement and map ones in the lowest level into specific design features. When the number of design features is large, they need to be managed by groups. This paper suggests a grouping method for design process can be regarded as a series of selections of the predefined functional primitives according to the requirements and the preceding selections. An intelligent product design system for automatic transmission lever design is developed as an example.

  • An automatic transmission of construction equipment is controlled by hydraulic and electronic system for doing in various functions like as shifting and operation. The shifting is operated by the engaged and disengaged clutch motion from hydraulic power. On the shifting process, suitable pressure control to the clutch is required for smooth shifting. Hydraulic control system in the automatic transmission is divided by the pilot control type and the direct control type greatly. The direct control type has an advantage than the pilot control type. Because the structure is simple, the design and the manufacture are having less troubles and the system can be maximized precision pressure control. However, the excellent performance proportional control valve should be used to achieve proper control-ability. In this study, the dynamic analysis model composing the automatic transmission and hydraulic system for forklift truck is presented to simulate the characteristics of hydraulic system about the direct control type. That model is verified the validity compared the results of the testing examination. Parameters of input signal are analyzed to reduce the output torque according to input control signal is affected in shifting characteristic.
