Design and Implementation of Automatic Linking Support System for Efficient Generating and Retrieving Integrated Documents Based on Web (웹 통합문서의 효율적 생성과 검색을 위한 자동링크지원 시스템의 설계 및 구축)

  • With the advent of distributed computing and Web service technologies, lots of users have been requiring services that can conveniently obtain and/or support well-assembled information based on Web. For this reason, we are to construct Automatic Linking Support Systems for generating Web-based integrated information and supporting retrieval information according to user's various requirements. Our system organization is based on client/server system. A server environment consisted of automatic linking engine that can provide lexical analyzing, query processing and integrated document generating functions, and databases that are made of dictionaries, image and URL contents. Also, client environments consisted of Web editor that can generate integrated documents and Web helper that can retrieve them via automatic linking engine and databases. For client's user-friendly interfaces, web editor and helper programs can directly execute by down leading from a server without setup them before inside clients. For reducing server's overheads, Parts of server's executing modules are distributed to clients on which they can be executing. As an implementation of our system, we use the JDK 1.3, SWING for user interfaces like Web editor and helper, RMI mechanism for interaction between clients and a server, and SQL server 7.0 for database development, respectively. Finally, we showed the access procedures of automatic document linking engine and databases from Web editor or Web helper, and results appearing on their screens.

  • This paper focuses on message complexity performance analysis of MANET AAPs in reference to link errors generated by the mobile wireless nodes. To obtain the message complexity performance of AAPs in reference to the link error probability ($P_e$), an enhancement was made by proposing the retransmission limit (S) to be computed for error recovery (based on the link error probability), and then for each of the AAPs the control procedures for the retransmission limit have been properly included. The O-notation has been applied in analyzing the upper bound of the number of messages generated by a MANET group of N nodes. Based on a link error probability range of $P_e=0$ to 0.8, the AAPs investigated in this paper are Strong DAD, Weak DAD with proactive routing protocol (WDP), Weak DAD with on-demand routing protocol (WDO), and MANETconf. Based on the simulation results and analysis of the message complexity, for nominal situations, the message complexity of WDP was lowest, closely followed by WDO. The message complexity of MANETconf is higher than that of WDO, and Strong DAD results to be most complex among the four AAPs.

  • The weight reduction design process of tension links could be studied based on the variation of tension, bending and torsional stiffness after substituting STKM11A steels with aluminum alloys (A356) with tensile strength of 245 MPa. The existed I-beam type link component may have a weak point for loads applied from a special direction. Therefore, it was investigated to the optimal shape of the link component that could withstand loads from all directions and at the same time reduce weight. Various types of link shapes were designed and analyzed, and the optimized shape was found. The optimized design can reduce over 40% of the original steel link weight, and it could be suggested for light-weight design guides and safe design conditions for the development of tension links.

A Study on Automatic Surveillance System using VHF Data Link Protocol (해상이동통신에서 VHF 데이터링크 프로토콜을 이용한 자동감시시스템)

  • In this Paper, We analysed the technical characteristics of a automatic identification system that will introduce in aviation and marine radio stations. IMO's Marine Safety Committee approved revision of chapter V of the Safety of Life at Sea(SOLAS) Convention in 73rd meeting. According to this, AIS will become a mandatory carriage requirement by 01 July 2002. AIS as a surveillance system continuously receives its own position from the GNSS and then repeatedly broadcasts it on a W:.u data link for avoiding traffic conflicts and possible disasters. VHF data link is organized so that a specified number of time slots make up a repeatable frame. Each radio station can autonomously allocate and deallocate slots within the frame using selection algorithm which is called SOTDMA(Self-Organized Time Division Multiple Access). The results can be an aid in the continued of understanding technical characteristics for AIS as a broad surveillance system.

  • 본 논문은 하이퍼텍스트 문서의 자동분류 성능을 높이기 위한 새로운 접근법을 제시한다. 하이퍼텍스트 문서는 일반 문서와 달리 하이퍼링크로 서로 연결된 구조를 가진다. 이 하이퍼링크 정보는 대상문서와 연관도가 높은 정보를 가지고 있으며, 이러한 링크 정보로부터 특징을 보다 잘 선별하기 위해서는 보다 정밀한 접근법이 필요하다. 본 논문은 단어간 의미 유사도를 기반으로 하이퍼텍스트 링크 정보를 활용한 특징 가공기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 하이퍼링크 문서로부터 대상문서와 연관도가 높은 특징을 추출하기 위해 단어간 유사도 함수를 사용하며, 유사도 함수는 워드넷의 상/하위어 관계를 이용한다. 그리고 추출된 특징들 중 의미적으로 비슷한 개념의 특징들을 합병함으로써 의미적으로 보다 견고한 분류 모델을 구축한다. 제안 기법을 검증하기 위해 Web-KB 문서집합을 이용하여 실험을 수행하였고 실험 결과 기존 방법보다 우수한 성능을 보였다.

  • 포탈 사이트와 더불어 여러 상업용 사이트의 경우 수많은 고객들을 수용하기 위해 여러 가지 서비스들을 개발하고 있다. 여러 가지의 서비스들은 사이트의 링크 서비스로 서비스 되고 있다. 그러나 이런 서비스의 개수들이 크게 늘어나면서 초기 서비스 웹페이지의 크기도 늘어나게 된다. 많은 링크 서비스들은 초기 웹페이지의 소스의 크기를 크게 함으로써 웹서버에 부하를 주게 된다. 다수의 사용자들이 웹 페이지에 접근했을 경우 서비스 속도에 저하를 줄 수 있다. 이런 문제점을 보완하기 위해 링크 맵 시스템을 구현하여 링크 서비스 모두를 서비스하는 것이 아니라 일부 서비스만 제공하는 것으로 서버의 부하를 줄일 수 있다. 접근 사용자들은 평상시와 다름없이 웹 사이트에 접근하지만 링크 맵 시스템이 자동으로 불필요한 링크들을 제거하고 웹 페이지를 서비스한다. 이때 서버에 부하에 미치는 영향도 테스트하여 확인한다.

  • This paper proposes an automatic method for discovering cross-lingual links from English Wikipedia documents to Korean ones in order to increase connectivity among vast web resources. Compared to the existing methods roughly estimating link probability of phrases, candidate anchors are selected from English documents by using various information such as title lists and linking probability extracted from Wikipedia dumps and the results of named-entity recognition, and the anchors are translated into Korean words, and then the most suitable Korean documents with the words are selected as cross-lingual links. The experimental results showed 0.375 of MAP.
