Human Detection and Fuzzy Temperature Control System for Energy Reduction of Cooling Device in Elevator (승강기용 냉각장치의 에너지 절감을 위한 사람 검출과 퍼지 온도 제어 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose human detection and fuzzy temperature control system for energy reduction of cooling device in elevator. In order to improve problems of existing cooling device using the refrigerant, energy reduction and efficient management are continuously achieved because of operation of thermoelectric cooling device using the human detection and fuzzy temperature control system. The proposed system confirms the number of passengers in elevator and temperature is then controlled by those numbers and an average temperature for the season in fuzzy system. The human detection method scans the number of passengers using a head part as a feature based on bird's-eye view camera in elevator. The fuzzy system determines elevator internal temperature considering atmospheric temperature and the scanned passenger numbers as a look-up table. The proposed system reduces energy of the cooling device through the human detection and temperature control. In experiment, energy reduction is confirmed and the performance of the proposed system is verified.

  • In this paper, an efficient training symbol design with m-sequence is proposed for the MIMO-OFDM based next generation wireless transmission system which supports gigabits per second data rate. In the traditional blute force method, the preamble design is based on the case by case comparison with the system requirements. This paper discusses a training symbol design methodology for the MIMO-OFDM system based on the m-sequence which has been widely used in the spread spectrum communication areas due to its good correlation characteristics. Also the step-by-step design and performance verification method within the limited search space is discussed. The proposed method targets the design of the training symbol which satisfies system requirements for the packet based MIMO-OFDM wireless communication system including automatic gain control(AGC), timing synchronization, frequency and sampling offset estimation, and MIMO channel estimation.

K-Band Radar Development for the Ground Moving Vehicle (지상 이동 차량용 K-대역 레이다 개발)

  • This paper presents a K-band radar system installed on the ground moving vehicle to detect and track a high-speed target. The presented radar is separated into three search regions to satisfy a wide area detection and a limitation of the installing space of the radar, and each region performs detecting the target independently and tracking the detected target automatically. The presented radar radiating K-band FMCW waveform acquires range and velocity information of the target at the every dwell and receiving antenna of the radar is applied the multiple baseline interferometer to extract the precise angle information of the target. 3-dimensional tracking accuracy of the radar is 0.25 m RMSE measured actually through a fire experiment of an imitation target.

Rainfall Estimation by X-band Marine Radar (X밴드 선박용 레이더를 이용한 강우 추정)

  • The rainfall cases were identified by rainfall estimation techniques which were developed by using X - band marine radar. A digital signal converter was used to convert the signal received from the marine radar into digital reflectivity information. The ground clutter signal was removed and the errors caused by beam attenuation and beam volume changes were corrected. The reflectivity showed a linear relationship with the rain gauge rainfall. Quantitative rainfall was estimated by converting the radar signal into an cartesian coordinate system. When the rainfall was recorded more than $5mm\;hr^{-1}$ at three automatic weather stations, the rain cell distribution on the marine radar was consistent with that of the weather radar operated by Korea meteorological Adminstration.

논제 부정 Access에 대한 Firewall의 과제와 대책

  • Firewall은 다양한 부정Access의 방지책으로서 확실히 유효한 수단이지만 이 Firewall은 사용자로부터 지시된 설정을 충실히 실행하는 것으로 설정 오류, 소프트웨어의 정지, 허가된 룰을 악용한 침입 등 반드시 사용자가 바라는 작용을 무조건적 상태에서 보증해 주는 것은 아니다. 따라서 사용자는 도입 후 에도 운용시에 Access log를 감시하고 본래의 Security Policy에 반하는 행위를 매일 매일 체크하지 않으면 안될 상황에 처해 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 부정Access에 대한 이와 같은 Firewall의 현상에 대한 과제 중에서 "부정Access를 어떻게 하면 일찍, 정확히 체크할 수 있는가\ulcorner"라는 주제를 선택하여 Firewall의 한계와 그 대응책을 실제로 부정Access를 시험해 보는 것으로 검증하기로 하였다. 실험결과에서 (1)Port Scan이나 전자메일 폭탄(서비스정지공격)등은 Firewall로 방지하는 것은 불가능하거나 혹은 Checking이 곤란하다. (2)공격마다 로그 수집을 했음에도 관계없이 Firewall의 로그는 번잡하므로 단시간에 사태의 발견이 대단히 곤란하다고 하는 Firewall의 한계를 인식하였다. 그리고 그 대책으로서 우리는 체크 툴의 유효성에 착안하여 조사한 결과, 결국 무엇이 부정Access인가에 대해서는 어디까지나 이용하는 측이 판단하여 Firewall 상에 설정하지 않으면 안되지만 체크 툴은 이 부정Access 정보를 데이터베이스로서 갖고 있음으로써 '무엇이 부정Access인가'를 이용자 대신에 판단하고 툴에 따라서는 설정을 자동적으로 변경하여 부정 Access의 저지율을 향상시킨다. 이처럼 체크 툴은 Firewall의 수비능력을 보강하는 위치에 있다고 생각할 수 있다.다. 4 장에서는 3장에서 제기한 각각의 문제점에 대해 RAD 의 관점에 비추어 e-business 시스템의 단기개발을 실현하기 위한 고려사항이나 조건 해결책을 제안한다. 본 논문이 지금부터 e-business 를 시작하려고 하는 분, e-business 시스템의 개발을 시작하려고 하는 분께 단기간의 e-business 실현을 위한 하나의 지침이 된다면 다행이겠다.formable template is used to optimize the matching.   • In this article, we present an automated system for adjusting the 6 degree of freedom (D.O.F.) circular fixator. The system includes a scheduling software to adjust the Hexapod Circular Fixator (HCF) and an automated strut with the ability of the multiple synchronized motion and independent motion. The HCF was designed to control a 6 D.O.F. Ilizarov fixator and it's mechanism. The HCF adjustment software evaluates each value of altered length of the HCF struts to correct the complex skeletal deformity by using the X-ray data of the patient. The data of HCF adjustment software feed into the automated strut system which provides the scheduled adjustment. Then, the automated strut is synchronized by input data. Also the data of HCF adjustment software can be used to adjust HCF without automated struts. The proposed HCF system was verified by experiments.

  • Recently, large and small vehicle accidents due to human life and property due to loss of function similar to that used on the plane with a black box mounted on the vehicle by the driver of the vehicle in order to analyze the cause of the accident vehicle you are using a black box. The black box used in the existing operating system, unlike the Android OS portability is good compared to other OS support an open platform for the development of additional costs or proven, which includes many libraries need to use any external libraries there are no advantages. In addition, the existing black box on the incident can not be sent automatically to report an accident notification has a problem. In this paper, another advantage of the OS used in a black box with an Android-based acceleration sensor on the test board GPS module and smart phones using the information, and incident detection capability to send a message to the specified number of black boxes with was implemented.

  • ARPA(Automatic Radar Plotting Aid) is a device to calculate CPA(closest point of approach)/TCPA(time of CPA), true course and speed of targets by vector operation of relative courses and speeds. The purpose of this study is to develop target acquisition and tracking technology for ARPA Radar implementation. After examining the previous studies, applicable algorithms and technologies were developed to be combined and basic ARPA functions were developed as a result. As for main research contents, the sequential image processing technology such as combination of grayscale conversion, gaussian smoothing, binary image conversion and labeling was deviced to achieve a proper target acquisition, and the NNS(Nearest Neighbor Search) algorithm was appllied to identify which target came from the previous image and finally Kalman Filter was used to calculate true course and speed of targets as an analysis of target behavior. Also all technologies stated above were implemented as a SW program and installed onboard, and verified the basic ARPA functions to be operable in practical use through onboard test.

  • A monitoring system of collision risk among multiple ships is newly-designed in order to reduce human error and make vessel traffic control more effective. By using AIS data as ships' navigational information, an estimation algorithm of collision risk among multiple ships is newly-designed. To consider ships' course of now and future, collision risks of multiple ships can be calculated by using fuzzy algorithm. To test the performance of new algorithm, replay simulations are carried out on actual AIS data collected from VTS center of Ulsan harbor in Korea. The AIS data include 25 ships' information for two hours. In this paper, the features of newly-designed estimation algorithm of collision risk and the results of replay simulation are discussed.

International Standardization and Implementation of Home Energy Saving System for Smart Grid (스마트 그리드를 위한 홈 에너지 절감 시스템의 IEC 국제표준화 및 구현)

  • For the reduction of electric energy consumption and its efficient use at homes or buildings, a new work item proposal for new architecture and functional requirements of Energy Saving System (ESS) was proposed to IEC TC 100 and accepted as a new project, IEC PT 62654 in 2009. Recently, the final ballot for publication passed without negative votes and IEC TS 62654 was finally published in August 2012. For the verification of this standard, Prototype of ESS system composed of an ESS server, ESS clients, and portable ESS terminal were especially implemented in parallel with the standardization. Electric Power Control and Management (EPCM) protocol for the communication between ESS server and clients was also implemented, which supports self-configuration of ESS network, power consumption monitoring, remote power control, and additional functions for intelligent energy saving services.
