  • The Korea Post is providing postal, savings, and insurance services to the public. Although it has been automated due to the development of the industry, the risk of industrial accidents is high. Safety and health education should be effectively conducted to reduce industrial accidents. In this study, a survey was conducted for postal service workers. As a result, there was a tendency to prefer instructors with technical experience and professional qualifications, and increasing direct participation training through on-site inspection and audio-visual training and hands-on training were found to be helpful. analyzed.   • Objective of this study is to design and implement security system based on intrusion tolerance technology for the improvement of dependability in defense system. In order to do so, I identify and extract core technologies through the research and analysis into characteristics, structures, main functions, and technologies of intrusion tolerance architecture. And I accomplish a design of security system through the redundant system based on these core technologies. To implement and verify intrusion tolerance system, I chose 'wargame system' as a subjected system, and accomplished 'Wargame Intrusion Tolerance System' and verified security required functions through a performance test. By applying showed security system into the development of application software based on intrusion tolerance, systematic and efficient system could be developed. Also applying 'WITDS' can solve the current security problems, and this will be basic model for design of security architecture in the federation system after.

  • For extrusion processes in the process industry, the need to build smart factories is increasing. However, in most extrusion production sites, the production method is continuous, and because the properties of the data are undeed, it is difficult to process the data. In order to solve this problem, we present a methodology utilizing a near field communication (NFC) sensor rather than water-based data entry. To this end, a wireless network environment was built, and a data management method was designed. A non-contact NFC method was studied for the production performance-data input method, and an analysis method was implemented using the pivot function of the Excel program. As a result, data input using NFC was automated, obtaining a quantitative effect from reducing the operator's data processing time. In addition, using the input data, we present a case where a bottleneck is improved due to quality problems.

  • Currently, the automation and intelligence of the shipbuilding industry have improved its work production capacity and cost competitiveness, but the reduction rate of safety accidents among industrial site workers is still low and the damage caused by safety accidents is very serious, so there is a need for improvement according to the workplace. This research aims to demonstrate the connectivity between smart safety helmets in the demonstration area to verify the effectiveness along with the development of smart helmets for worker protection and environmental safety in shipyards. For efficient communication between workers, impact noise of over 95dB was confirmed in the workplace, and noise reduction was required. To solve this problem, the filtering performance was compared and analyzed using the Butterworth, Chebyshev, and elliptic algorithms. The connectivity test and noise reduction method between smart helmets proposed in this study will increase the usability and safety of the field through the development of advanced smart helmets tailored to the shipbuilding workplace in the future.

  • C4I system is an integrated battlefield information system that automates the five elements of command, control, communications, computers, and information to efficiently manage the battlefield. C4I systems play an important role in collecting and analyzing enemy positions, situations, and operational results to ensure that all services have the same picture in real time and optimize command decisions and mission orders. However, the current C4I has limitations whenever a new weapon system is introduced, as it only provides battlefield visualization in a single area focusing on the battlefield situation for each military service. In a future battlefield that expands not only to land, sea, and air domains but also to cyber and space domains, improved command and control decisions will be possible if organic data from various weapon systems is gathered to quickly visualize the battlefield situation desired by the user. In this study, the visualization technology applicable to the future C4I system is divided into map area, situation map area, and display area. The technological implementation of this future C4I system is based on various data and communication means such as 5G networks, and is expected to enable hyper-connected battlefield visualization that utilizes a variety of high-quality information to enable realistic and efficient battlefield situation awareness.

  • The majority of recent intrusions reveal that the attackers do not use the previous intrusion techniques or network flaw, rather they tend to use the vulnerabilities residing inside the program, which are the running programs on the system or the processes for the service. Therefore, the security managers must focus on updating the programs with lots of time and efforts. Developers also need to patch continuously to update the program, which is a lot of burden for them. In order to solve the problem, we need to understand the vulnerabilities in the program, which has been studied for some time. And also we need to analyze the functions that contains some vulnerabilities inside. In this paper, we first analyzed the vulnerabilities of the standard C library, and Win32 API functions used in various programs. And then we described the design and implementation of the automated scanning tool for writing secure source code based on the analysis.

  • This paper presents mobile robot based down-scale mineral resources exploration test system for the USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) based exploration. The system emulates the actual exploration environment. Underneath the metal free test plate, a metal object is attached. A magneto-meter mounted mobile robot runs around on the plate to find the metal. The measured magneto-meter values are transferred to the host PC via wireless network. The system enables to improve the reliability of simulation as well as to help efficient exploration system design. Metal-detecting experiments were carried out to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed system.

  • In the general manufacturing sector, prototyping used to reduce the risks that can arise with new conceptual products. However, in AEC area, it does not mass-produce a building, so the prototype itself becomes a building. Therefore, it is challenging to have prototyping of the same scale as the real thing, and the prototyping process in architecture is very inefficient. The prototyping process in the design stage typically assumes making a scaled model, partial model, or digital model. However, it is difficult for these models to correspond to the actual building and the environment of time and space such as scale, material, environment, load, physical properties and deformation, corrosion, etc., unlike the actual building. When using the digital twin concept in the prototyping process, it is possible to measure performance from the design stage to the operation stage. The digital twin was found by a method for monitoring based on physical twins and real-time linkage in the operation stage. Therefore, if the digital twin concept is applied at the design stage, it is possible to predict performance using not only current performance but also history information using real-time information. In order to apply the digital twin concept to the prototyping design process, we analyze the theoretical considerations and the prototyping design process of the digital twin, analyze the cases and research results where the prototyping design was applied, Provide an applied prototyping design process. The proposed process is tested through a pilot project and analyzed for potential use.

Lexical Sophistication Features to Distinguish the English Proficiency Level Using a Discriminant Function Analysis (판별분석을 통해 살펴본 영어 능력 수준을 구별하는 어휘의 정교화 특성)

  • This study explored the lexical sophistication features to distinguish the group membership of English proficiency, using the automatic analysis program of lexical sophistication. A total of 600 essays written by 300 Korean college students were extracted from the ICNALE (International Corpus Network of Asian Learners of English) corpus and a discriminant function analysis was performed using SPSS program. Results showed that the lexical features to distinguish three groups of English proficiency are SUBTLEXUS frequency content words, age of acquisition content words, lexical decision mean reaction time function words, and hypernymy verbs. High-level Korean students used frequent content words from SUBTLEXUS corpus to a lesser degree and produced more sophisticated words that can be learned at a later age and take longer reaction time in lexical decision task, and more concrete verbs.

  • In this study, the conceptual design of a tilt + stopped rotor type electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft was performed using design iteration. Based on Hyundai Motor's S-A1, the mission profile was defined using the concept of urban air mobility (UAM), and configuration design and aerodynamic analysis were performed using OpenVSP and XFLR5 software. After estimating the required power for the designed eVTOL, the required performance of the battery and the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) were calculated. . It was iteratively calculated using Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic Application, and a new electric motor weight estimation formula was derived. Also, the sensitivity analyses of each design variables of an eVTOL was performed using the automated program.
