Experimental Studies on the Performance Characteristics of Heat Exchangers of $CO_2$ Air Conditioning System for Vehicle (자동차용 $CO_2$ 에어컨 시스템 열교환기 성능 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The performance characteristics of heat exchangers which consist of a gas cooler, an evaporator and an internal heat exchanger have been investigated at various operating conditions of $CO_2$ air conditioning system by experiments. The heat exchangers were designed for use in the vehicle $CO_2$ air conditioning system, when considering the characteristics of heat transfer and high pressure as $CO_2$ refrigerant. This paper studied the performance of heat exchangers at various compressor speeds and expansion valve openings, and quantified the heat transfer rates and pressure drops. Heat transfer rates at the gas cooler and the evaporator were 6.9 kW and 5.2 kW, respectively, when the compressor speed was 4000 rpm and refrigerant vapor quality at the evaporator outlet was 0.98. Therefore, this paper carried out that the heat exchangers were analyzed to achieve superior performance for the vehicle transcritical $CO_2$ cycle.

  • To prevent green house effect and destruction of an ozone layer, an ozone destruction potential(OBP) must be zero and a refrigerant for low global warming potential(GWP) is needed. HFC-l34a, in which hydrogen is mixed instead of chlorine is a refrigerant used for automobile conditioners and its destruction potential is ecologically zero. However, it is not consid- ered as a perfect substitutive refrigerant as its GWP is high. It is studied refrigerant mixtures in which HFC-l52a and $CF_3 I$ in HFC-l52a with low GWP and zero ODP are mixed by experimentally and concluded as follows: 1) With the variation of speed of compressor outside temperature and flow rate, 7he heat of evaporator and compressor and coefficient of perfor- mance was varied, and influenced the air conditioner. 2) The pressure of evaporator was decreased with increasing the speed of compressor and the pressure of evaporator with the refrigerant HFC-l52a was higher 24% than that of azotrope refrigerant mixed with $CF_3 I$

파워디바이스의 저 Noise화 동향

  • 전력$\cdot$교통$\cdot$산업$\cdot$정보$\cdot$가전의 각 분야에서 파워일렉트로닉스를 지탱하는 소자로서 파워디바이스가 하는 역할은 매우 크다. 특히 최근에는 지구온난화대책으로서 $CO_2$의 배출규제와 화석에너지 고갈에 대한 대응이 요구되고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 각종 전기기기 분야에서는 파워일렉트로닉스를 활용한 산업용 모터의 제어와 에어컨$\cdot$냉장고 등의 자에너지, 그리고 환경보호를 위한 전기자동차의 보급, 태양광발전과 풍력발전 등의 신에너지의 개발이 활발해지고 있다. 이와 같이 파워일렉트로닉스의 발전은 사회에 커다란 혜택을 가져다주었으나 동시에 전원의 고조파와 EMC(Electro-Magnetic Compatoboloty)문제를 초래하고 있다. 고조파 문제에 대해서는 액티브필터용 IPM(Intelligent Power Module)등의 등자으로, 기기측에서 적극저긍로 대책을 강구하고 있으나, 한편 EMC의 대응은 고조파대책에 비하여 다소 어려움이 이TDj 업계 전체적으로는 이제야 대응이 시작된 단계이다. 최근 파워디바이스의 주류가 된 IBT(Insulted Gate Bipolar Transister)는 고속성과 저포화전압이 인정되었으나 IGBT가 갖고 이쓴 고속 Switching 특성 때문에 EMC대응이 문제가 되고 있다. 따라서 IGBT자신의 특성개선은 물론 환류다이오드의 회복전류의 소프트화, 패키지의 개량, IGBT의 신구동방식의 개발 등, 파워디바이스 전체적으로 EMC에의 대응이 시작되었다.

A Study on Compressor Seal for Automotive Air-conditioner using Polymer Resin (고분자 수지를 이용한 자동차 에어컨용 압축기의 씰에 관한 연구)

  • The existing compressor steel seal used in automotive air-conditioner has the problem of oil leakage and the deterioration in shielding performance, due to the abrasion and the corrosion of the material. A new type of polymer resin seal is studied in the research. The polymer resin seal has the characteristics of high anti-abrasiveness and anti-corrosiveness, which can overcome the deflects of the steel seal. In addition, the seal needs lower manufacturing cost and is appropriate to mass production, because it is made by the injection molding method requiring no mechanical processing. The profile generation program for seal mold has been developed using the gradient method, and the molding characteristics of the seal have analyzed through the flow analysis and the warpage analysis. The program has been verified by comparing the analysis results with the measured data of the test product. The research might be said to provide the basic method to produce the polymer resin seals with various types and dimensions.

  • It's necessary to invent a measure to deal with expected counter results when observing mechanical behaviors under the various operations and it can be done by measuring the stress and deformation characteristics of the Automotive Air-Conditioner Hose, which is a hose made up of a rubber hose, an aluminum sleeve and pipe. In this paper, characteristics of the stress and deformation characteristics of the Automotive Air-Conditioner Hose which plays an important role in circulation of refrigerant of an air conditioner in an automobile are analyzed using the finite element method.

  • The objective of this study is to develope a computer simulation model and estimate theoretically the transient performance characteristics of heat exchangers in an automotive air-conditioning system. To do that, the mathematical modelling of heat exchangers, such as evaporator and condenser, is presented first of all. For detail calculation, evaporator and condenser are divided into many sub-sections. Each sub-section is an elemental volume for transient modelling. The elemental volume is assumed to consist of three components, refrigerant, tube with fin, and air, and various properties including temperatures of three components are determined step along sub-sections. The properties of refrigerant R134a and air are calculated directly in the program. The heat transfer coefficients and pressure drop in single or two phase are also calculated by suitable empirical correlations. The overall tendencies of the simulation results were agreed well with those of actual situation.

  • 자동차 라디에이터용 팬과 에어컨 실외기 팬의 경우 영구자석동기 전동기는 자연 상태에서 외부 바람에 의해 임의의 방향과 임의의 속도로 회전할 수 있다. 이런 응용분야에서 회전자 위치검출 센서가 부착되어 있는 경우에는 회전방향 및 속도를 비교적 간단하게 제어할 수 있다. 그러나 회전자 위치검출 센서를 사용하지 않는 센서리스 제어의 경우 외부부하에 의해 회전자가 회전중일 때는 회전자의 위치정보가 없기 때문에 추가적인 알고리즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 외부부하에 의해 회전자가 임의의 방향 및 임의의 속도로 회전하고 있는 경우 원하는 회전방향으로 원하는 속도로 제어하기 위한 센서리스 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 회전자가 역방향 및 정방향 저속으로 회전중인 경우와 정방향 고속으로 회전중인 경우에 대해 회전자를 정방향의 주어진 속도로 제어하기 위한 회전자 위치검출 및 센서리스 제어 알고리즘을 제안하고 실험으로 검증한다.

Design of Centrifugal Impeller for Passenger Car by Flow Field Analysis (유동장 해석을 통한 승용차 원심 회전차의 형상 설계)

  • For the purpose of the enhancement of the air conditioner performance and fuel effciency, several cases of centrifugal impeller for passenger car air conditioner have been numerically analyzed by changing central angle of blades and length of outlet for shape optimization of the impeller. Commercial CFD program Fluent 6.3.26 has been used to compute velocity, temperature, pressure and turbulence intensity that can lead numerous results. The central angles of two blades and three cases of outlet length led 4~12% and 3.5~6.4% differences of velocity and flow rate, respectively. The velocity distribution near the blade surface was axisymmetric and had a maximum value of 22.19 m/s and velocity of the vertical direction of the impeller showed linear increase with horizontal direction. At case 3 of oultet length, there existed a a minimum pressure value of -133320 Pa.

  • 1989년 프레온계 냉매의 대체 가능한 물질로서 $CO_2$재 출연하게 되었고, 그 이후 관련 연구는 점차 증가하였다. 1996년 북미 지역에서 $CO_2$의 연구는 일리노이 대학내 ACRC (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Center)에서 최대로 시작되었다. 연구비의 90%는 산업체에 의해 지원되었고, 나머지는 미국 정부에 의해 지원되었다. 본 고는 자동차 및 가정용 에어컨 및 열펌프 시스템 및 구성부품 개선에 대한 전반적인 연구활동에 관해 기술하였다. 또한 시스템 성능 비교 결과는 열전달, 압력강하, 사이를 변환,냉매 분해에 대한 연구 지침을 제시하였고, 지속적인 연구 노력을 통하여 천연냉매를 이용하여 간접적인 지구온난화 가스 방출을 최소화하기 위한 시스템 효율을 증가시키고 빈다. $CO_2$의 고유 특징인 초임계 $CO_2$사이클, $CO_2$의 열역학 및 전달 물성치를 통한 효율 개선, 내부 열교환을 통한 사이클 성능 개선방안도 기술되었다.
