Magnetism and Magnetocrystalline Anisotropy of Ni/Fe(001) Surface: A First Principles Study (Ni/Fe(001)의 자성과 자기이방성에 대한 제일원리계산)

  • Recent theoretical calculations predicted that a system composed exclusively of 3d transition metals without 4d/5d transition metals or rare earth metals can have strong perpendicular magnetocrystalline anisotropy (MCA) if Fe and Ni layers are arranged appropriately. They considered only Fe-terminated surfaces, noting that Fe/MgO(001) and CoFeB/MgO(001) show strong perpendicular MCA. In this paper, we investigate magnetism and MCA of Ni/Fe(001) surface where Ni layer is positioned at the surface, by using complementarily the first principles calculational methods of Vienna Ab-initio Simulation Package (VASP) and Full-potential Linearized Augmented Plane Wave (FLAPW) method. Comparing results of magnetism and MCA obtained by VASP with the results by FLAPW method, we find the VASP results do not show big difference from results by FLAPW method. Magnetic moments of Fe and Ni are enhanced due to strong hybridization between Fe and Ni bands. MCA of Ni/Fe(001) is parallel to the surface, which implies the surface termination plays a crucial role in determining MCA of a system.

Self-Differentiation and Mental Health of Elderly Couples (노년기 부부의 자기분화와 정신건강에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to examine the relationship between self-differentiation and mental health of elderly couples. This study also tries to investigate the effect of self-differentiation on mental health. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaire method with 271 elderly couples over 55 years old who lived in Chollabuk-Do province. The results showed that first, there was no significant difference in the level of total self-differentiation between husbands and wives. While the level of mental health(depression, somatization) were higher for wives than for husbands. Second, both husbands' and wives' mental health were negatively correlated with self-differentiation. Finally, results of multiple regression analyses showed that both husbands' and wives' mental health were negatively influenced by self-differentiation. Specifically, the variable significant affecting the husbands' mental health was the emotional reactivity of self-differentiation and the variable significant wives' mental health was the emotional cut-off of self-differentiation. These findings confirmed the concept of self-differentiation in applying to mental health of elderly couples.

The Effect of Self-gift Motivation on Perceived Value and Self-gift Intention of Performing Arts (자기선물 동기가 공연관람의 인지된 가치 및 자기선물 의향에 미치는 영향)

  • The recent rapid increase in single-person households has had a significant impact on the art performance market as well as the overall consumption trend. With the proportion of one-person viewers in the form of viewing the performance nearly half, the new term "Hongongjok" is widely used. Representing the trends of 'one-person consumption' and 'consumption for me' is the concept of 'self-gift' that consumes special for myself. This study introduced the concept of self-gift as a framework for understanding a new group of performance viewers who lavishly investing in consumption for one's sake. It also demonstrated how self-gift motivation affects the perceived value and the intention of self-gift. As a result of the analysis, the motivation for reward, therapeutic personal disappointment, and therapeutic negative mood reduction of the self-gift had a significant effect on the intention of self-gift through the perceived value of classical music performances. In addition, it was also revealed through the multi-group analysis that there was a significant difference in the effect of self-gift motivation factors between a single viewer and two or more accompanying viewers. This study contributes to the fact that the art performance industry can be provided the first theoretical basis for understanding these customer groups in order to respond to the consumption trend for one-person viewers. It also offered practical implications for revitalizing the stagnant classical music performance market by framing the art performance as a self-gift.

Development and Effect Verification of Situated Learning Theory-Applied Teaching-Learning Plans for the 'Clothing and Self-Expression' Unit of Seventh Grade Technology-Home Economics Subject (상황학습 이론을 적용한 중학교 1학년 기술.가정 교과의 '옷차림과 자기표현' 단원 교수-학습 과정안 개발 및 효과검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop teaching-learning plans for the 7th grade technology-home economics classes, applying situated learning theory. In addition, the effect of developed teaching-learning plans were examined, in terms of students' perception and attitude toward clothing habits and the degree of satisfaction with the lessons. In order to carry out the research, the teaching-learning plans for the 3 lessons on "clothing and self-expression" unit were developed. Experimental study was done at a middle school in Seoul to examine the effect of the teachig-learning plans developed based on the situated learning theory. Two classes taught with the developed teaching-learning plans served as a experiment group, and another two classes taught with traditional lecture-based plans served as a control group. As a result, teaching-learning plans developed based on situated learning theory had a positive impact on students' satisfaction with the lessons and the perception and attitude toward clothing habits.

We-Human -Being Together of the Lives (우리 - 사람 -생명들의 더불어 있음에 관해서)

  • The formation of knowledge of the people of Korean society is the social practices of collective subjectivity. Subjectivity is the truth of the self, which is incessantly created, questioned and modified in the milieu of self-reflection. In an attempt to examine the hermeneutics of the subject of Korean society, a conceptual framework is proposed, which, with the notion of life embedded, consists of a historical sequence of the popular, minjung, multitude, people and community. The period of 1960s saw the ambiguous mass of lifes floating, the individual with his/her own interior world of consciousness emerge. The ideological solidarity is formed in the the next two decades, in contestation with immediate and physical threatening such as poverty and dictatorship. The democratization of Korean society and the global expansion of neoliberal regime gave a re-birth of multitude and people which is characterized with their pursuit of the co-existence and co-realization of singularity and universality on the ethical principle of the open and communicative radicality.

A Study on the Development and Application of Inclusive Dental Hygiene Practice Model (통합 치위생 실습모형 개발 및 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an inclusive dental hygiene practice model in an effort to stir up the self-directed learning of learners to boost their problem-solving skills and ability of providing inclusive personal oral health care in a systematic and efficient manner. The subjects in this study were 41 dental hygiene students who were in their second year in C college located in South Jeolla Province as of 2009. An inclusive dental hygiene practice was implemented during a 15-week period of time from August 31 to December 7, 2009, and a self-administered survey was conducted before and after that by using the same questionnaires. Whether there were any differences between before and after the application of the inclusive dental hygiene practice model was checked, and there was improvement in all the learning motivation, self-directed learning capabilities and satisfaction level. Concerning the relationship of academic standing to changes in learning motivation, self-directed learning capabilities and satisfaction level, the inclusive dental hygiene practice model brought more favorable changes to the students in the lower tiers. The inclusive dental hygiene model should be applied to not only practical courses but theoretical ones so that learners could make progress both in theory and practice, and evaluation tools geared toward assessing their academic achievement and practical abilities should be developed.

구조방정식을 이용한 사이버 가정학습 몰입 모형에 관한 연구

  • 본 논문은 국내 사이버가정학습에서의 학습자 몰입을 형성하는 조건과 몰입, 그리고 학습 성과에 대한 영향간의 관계에 대하여 연구하였다. 이러한 탐구를 위해 Csikszentmihalyi(1990)의 몰입이론(flow theory)을 이론적 기반으로 삼았으며, 컴퓨터 매개 환경(Computer-Mediated Environment)에서의 학습활동에 참여하고 있는 사이버가정학습 수강자 310명으로부터 자료를 얻어 실증적 연구를 수행하였다. 사이버가정학습 학습자의 몰입은 '즐거움', '원격현존감', '주의집중', '관여', '시간왜곡'의 5가지 하위구인으로 정의하였고, 몰입 선행 조건은 학습에 필요한 '기술'과 과제수행의 '도전' 정도에 대한 개인의 인지도의 차이로 정의되었다. 실증적 연구를 위해 사이버가정학습 몰입측정 도구(Cyber-class Flow Measure)를 활용하였으며, 실제 몰입도 측정 후 몰입도가 높은 학습자 집단과 낮은 학습자 집단의 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 자료 분석결과 사이버가정학습 몰입도는 학습만족도 평가에 유의미한 영향을 미침을 보여주었다.

Thinking Styles and Their Relationship with Self-regulated Learning Ability and Scientific Inquiry Ability of the Scientifically Gifted Students (과학영재들의 사고양식과 자기조절학습능력 및 과학탐구능력간의 관계 분석)

  • This study examined the thinking styles of scientifically gifted students on the basis of Sternberg's theory of mental self-government, and the relationship between thinking styles and self-regulated learning ability of the students and their scientific inquiry ability by the different types of thinking styles. 110 middle school students who belonging to the university science-gifted education center participated in this study. 13 thinking styles were postulated that fall along 5 dimensions which are functions, forms, levels, scopes and leanings of the mental self-government. Scientifically gifted students responded to the Thinking Style Inventory (TSI) that standardized Korean version, Self-regulated Ability Inventory and Test of Science Inquiry Skills Inventory (TSIS). The results indicated that scientifically gifted students prefer legislative, liberal, external, hierarchical and judical thinking styles, rather than conservative style. This result also showed that subscales of thinking styles were significantly correlated with self-regulated learning ability and scientific inquiry ability. The legislative style, hierarchical style, local style and liberal style were significant predictors of self-regulation learning ability. The legislative style was significant predictor, whereas oligarchic style was negative predictor of scientific inquiry ability. The results of k-means clustering analysis and MANOVA showed that the self-regulated learning ability and scientific inquiry ability were significantly correlated with the pattern and level of thinking style.

Relationship between academic stresses and internalization·externalization among adolescents : Mediating effects of self-efficacy and gender differences (청소년기 학업스트레스가 내재화·외현화에 미치는 영향 : 자기효능감의 매개역할과 성별차이)

  • Little is known about the relationships among adolescents'academic stress, self-efficacy, and internalization externalization. Much less is known about whether there is gender differences in the relationships. This study aims to examine (1) the effects of academic stress on internalization externalization, (2) whether self-efficacy mediates the relationships between academic stress and internalization externalization, and (3) whether there is gender difference in the relationships. For these purposes, we used Structural Equation Modeling and multi group analysis involving 2,844 middle school students participated in the Korean Youth Panel Survey. The results are as follows. First, adolescent's academic stress affected internalization externalization. Second, self-efficacy mediated the relationship between academic stress and internalization externalization. Finally, the multiple group analysis results indicated that the path coefficient between academic stress and internalization of girls was significantly greater than that of boys. Based on these results, we discussed theoretical and practical implications and suggested directions for future research on academic stress coping processes among adolescents.

An analysis of error sources and reliability estimation in self-control assessment of young children using generalizability theory (일반화가능도 이론 적용 가능성 탐색을 위한 유아 자기통제력 평가도구의 신뢰도와 오차요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the error sources and effects of each error source in self-control assessment of young children. The self-control of 259 five-year-old children was assessed using the Self-Control Rating Scale(SCRS) developed by Kendall and Wilcox[1]. The evaluation results were analyzed using G study of generalizability theory. The results of G study shows that parents can be effective evaluators for the self-control assessment of young children. The strategies to reduce the effects of error are also discussed.
