Microstrip Line Sensor of Partial Discharge for Rotating Machine (회전기내 부분방전 검출을 위한 마이크로스트립 라인 센서)

  • 부분방전시험은 고전압 고정자 권선의 절연상태를 검사, 평가 할 수 있는 중요한 수단이다. 전동기와 발전기에서 일어나는 절연 악화의 징후로써 부분방전이 발생되며, 이러한 부분방전 신호를 검출하기 위한 센서로 SSC(Stator Slot Couple)를 사용한다. 하지만 현재 사용되고 있는 대부분의 SSC의 경우 설계에 있어 특성 임피던스가 실제구조에서 정확히 고려되지 않는 경향이 있다. 실제로 고정자 슬롯에 부착된 마이크로스트립 센서의 특성 임피던스는 정확히 50옴으로 정합 되지 않으며 이것은 센서의 성능에 중요한 영향을 미치게 된다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 부분방전 센서의 성능을 개선시키기 위해 결합 전송선로(Coupled transmission line)를 이용한 임피던스 정합회로를 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 센서의 성능을 입증하기 위하여 고정자 슬롯에 설치된 기존의 SSC와 임피던스 정합회로를 부착한 센서를 시뮬레이션 한 후 비교 분석하였다. 결과적으로 제안된 정합 회로는 광대역 임피던스 정합 특성을 가지며 임피던스 부정합 때문에 일어나는 기존 SSC의 성능 악화를 개선할 수 있었다.

  • 단일요금제를 사용하는 우리나라 전력시장은 시장 참여자에게 지역적 가격신호를 제공하지 못한다. 그래서 부하가 밀집되어있는 수도권 지역에 발전사업자와 부하에 혜택을 주고 비수도권 발전사업자와 부하에는 페널티를 주어 부하가 밀집된 지역에 발전기를 유치하기 위한 지역적 가격신호를 줄 수 없다. 가격신호는 공정하고 논리적인 이유를 갖추고 시장 참여자에게 제공되 어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 시장 참여자에게 공정한 가격신호를 주기위한 송전요금할당 방법을 제안한다.

  • This paper reports a means of improving the abnormal noise of light tactical vehicles (LTVs) by applying a vehicle fitting type generator (hereinafter called generator). LTVs are classified as having generators, and there are no differences in the noise level. On the other hand, quality improvement was performed in response to unpleasant noise felt by the user (hereinafter called abnormal noise) during vehicle operation. To improve the quality, the generator mounting structure and the phenomenon of the vehicle in the problem were identified. Through this, it was confirmed that the noise caused by the generator installation was the rattle noise. Rattle noise at the engine driving system is normally caused by the transfer of irregular torque generated by the engine power stroke and the backlash by the spline-serration fitting structure between the engine coupler and rotor assembly in a generator. Therefore, this study established an improvement plan to apply a damper coupler to solve the cause of the abnormal noise. Regarding the improved establishment method, the improvement effect was confirmed from the influence of the irregular torque of the engine, noise level, dynamic characteristics analysis, and the endurance test of the parts.

  • This paper deals with characteristics analysis of a permanent magnet (PM) linear generator using analytical methods for wave energy harvesting. The wave energy is carried out from the movement of a yo-yo system. A linear generator using permanent magnets to generate a magnetic force itself does not require a separate power supply and has the advantage of simple maintenance. In addition to the use of a rare earth, a permanent magnet having a high-energy density can be miniaturized and lightweight, and can obtain high energy-conversion efficiency. We derived magnetic field solutions produced by the permanent magnet and armature reaction based on 2D polar coordinates and magnetic vector potential. Induced voltage is obtained via arbitrary sinusoidal input. In addition, electrical parameters are obtained, such as back-EMF constant, resistance, and self- and mutual-winding inductances. The space harmonic method used in this paper is confirmed by comparing it with finite element method (FEM) results. These facilitate the characterization of the PM-type linear generator and provide a basis for comparative studies, design optimization, and machine dynamic modeling.

Experimental Study for the Resonance Effect of the Power Buoy Amplitude (공진형 전력부이의 상하변위증폭 효과에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, laboratory experiments and numerical simulations were conducted to test the performance of resonance power buoy system proposed by Kweon et al.(2010). The system is composed of a linear generator and a mooring buoy. The mover of the linear generator mainly has heave motion driven by vertical oscillation of the buoy. In this system, the velocity discrepancy between the mover and the buoy makes electricity. However, ocean wave energy as a natural resource around Korean peninsula is comparatively small and the driving force for producing electricity is not enough for commercialization. Therefore, it is necessary that the buoy motion be amplified by using resonance characteristics. In order to verify the resonance effects on the test power buoy, the experimental investigations were conducted in the large wave flume (length of 110 m, width of 8 m, maximum depth of 6 m) equipped with regular and random plunger wave generator. The resonance draft of test power buoy is designed for the corresponding period of incident wave, 1.96 sec. Regular wave test results show that the heave response amplitude operator(RAO) by a test buoy has the amplification of 5.66 times higher compared to the wave amplitude at the resonance period. Test results of random waves show that the buoy has the largest spectrum area of 20.73 times higher at the point of not the resonance period but the shorter one of 1.85 sec. Therefore this study suggests the resonance power buoy for wave power generation for commercial application in the case of the coastal and oceanic area with smaller wave energy.

  • In order to convert the mechanical movement of a linear generator to electrical power, the amateur current of the generator is controlled in accordance to the mover position. A linear encoder, usually used for direct detection of the mover position, not only is vulnerable to mechanical vibration, but also imposes significant constraint on the mechanical design of the generator system. Thus, this study proposes a method for indirect estimation of the mover position with emfs induced in amateur coils. The estimation algorithm is validated with simulation study.

  • This paper proposes a new invention of the integrated generator converter system for the HVDC transmission. And it analyses the general formula for eddy currents in the rotor iron using the double Fourier series in order to trace the smallest eddy current losses of the system which connects a new designed synchronous generator windings or conventional synchronous generator windings with the v Graetz bridges.

  • In the case of synchronous machines, certain power system disturbances cause the induced rotor current to assume negative values when no static converter is present. A converter, however, prevents negative current from flowing, so that overvoltages occur. The overvoltages can be effectively limited as crowbar circuit using GTO. This newly proposed crowbar circuit with current limiting resistor absorbs energy when overvoltage comes from power system repeatedly and verified through experiment
