Analysis of Trip Generation Behavior Based on the Multiday Travel Data (일기식 개인통행행태를 고려한 통행발생 예측)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 일주일간 조사된 개인통행행태를 고려한 각 특성별 통행발생예측 방법을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 일주일간 통행빈도수의 차이를 고려한 집단간 차이를 검정하고, 그 원인을 분석하여 이에 따른 특성별 개인 통행발생예측 모형을 정립하였다. 전체 표본의 각 특성별 개인 내부 변이성을 분석해 본 결과 기간의 차이에 따른 개인 통행행태의 변화는 직업별, 나이별, 성별, 차량소유 유무, 주택소유 형태, 통행목적, 통행수단, 가구원수에 따라 집단간 차이를 보여주었다. 이러한 변수를 이용한 통행발생 예측모형의 분석결과 개인소득이 높을수록, 주책을 자가로 소유한 경우, 자동차를 소유한 경우, 학생일수록, 유직일수록 개인 통행발생량이 많은 것으로 분석되었다. 반면, 아니는 연령대가 높아질수록 통행수가 적어졌다.

The Effects of Foreign Ownership on Firm Value (외국인 투자비중이 기업가치에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between foreign ownership and firm value. Based on the sample of 3,398 firm-year observations in the period of 2000 to 2007, we find evidence that foreign ownership is positively associated with firm value measured by the market-to-book ratio. In addition, we employ simultaneous equation system where both foreign ownership and firm value are treated as endogenous variables. Simultaneous regression models indicate that the foreign ownership affects firm value, but not vice versa. The positive effects of foreign ownership on firm value result from monitoring and disciplining roles played by foreign investors. Many Korean firms have been run by an owner-manager while monitoring provided by institutional equity holders has been limited. Therefore, Korean firms are expected to suffer from more severe agency costs caused by the conflicts of interest between owner-managers and outside investors. Our empirical results support the notion that foreign investors play an important role in enhancing corporate transparency and improving corporate governance.

The Effects of Housing Wealth on the Balance of Elderly Household Accounts (주택자산이 고령자가구의 재정수지에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed the effects of housing wealth on the balance accounts of elderly households with an age of over 60 facing the asset decumulation period, capitalizing upon an ordered logit model for the 2011 household finance survey data. Out of some variables representing personal and social characteristics, the age and waged worker variables had a positive effect, but the number of household, low education level, living in the apartment and capital region variables negatively affected the balance accounts of elderly households. Some variables reflecting economic wealth and financial strategies such as the attitude of risk-taking, ordinary income and the ratio of financial assets had a positive impact, but other variables such as DSR did a negative one on the balance accounts of the elderly households. The ownership of housing wealth variable positively, but the ratio of housing assets variable negatively affected the balance accounts of the elderly households, which could be derived from the duality of housing as both consumption goods and assets. However, the ownership of other real estates and the ratio of them in the total assets variables had a negative impact on the balance accounts of the elderly households. Furthermore, since the financial asset-debt ratio worsened the balance accounts of the elderly households with both housing and other real estates, it is implied that the purchase of real estates with excessive bank loans could make them dangerous.

R&D Investment and Firm Value: Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Corporate Governance and Ownership Structure (연구개발투자와 기업가치: 소유 및 지배구조의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • In this study, the relationship between R&D investment and firm value was approached from ESG's G(governance) perspective to verify the moderating effect of the corporate governance and ownership structure. To this end, a panel analysis was conducted on a total of 2,825 samples of 405 manufacturing companies listed on the KOSPI market during 2013~2020. The main analysis results are as follows. First of all, we found that R&D investment has a negative impact on firm value, at least in the short term, and that these relationships are moderated by corporate governance and ownership structure. When professional CEO with high level of expertise in business and management does lead R&D investment, the negative impact of R&D investment on firm value is mitigated compared to owner-manager. Also, the stronger the power of outside blockholders, the more transparent the management and disclosure of information, alleviating the information asymmetry between internal and external shareholders, which mitigates the negative impact of R&D investment on firm value. The findings suggest that the factors of ESG may not only have a direct impact on firm value, but also have a moderating effect on firm value.

  • 신재생에너지의 개발, 정부의 규제 완화와 환경적 이유로 인해 배전계통에서 분산전원은 점차 증가하는 추세이다. 최근 분산전원을 소유한 구역전기사업자가 전력시장의 새로운 시장 참여자로서 대두되고 있다. 분산전원을 소유한 구역전기사업자는 최대 이윤을 얻기 위해서 매 시간마다 발전량을 변화시켜야 한다. 본 논문에서는 배전계통에 연계된 분산전원의 최적 운영에 대해서 소개할 것이다. 이 때, 최적화의 목적은 구역전기사업자 이윤의 최대화이며, 국제적 환경규제에 따른 온실가스배출량을 고려하여 발전비용을 산출한다. 산출기법으로 Particle Swarm Optimization 알고리즘을 이용한다.

  • 본 연구는 단양군 소백산맥 북서사면을 사례지역으로 농업적 토지이용의 수직적 분화를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구를 통하여 산지가 많은 우리 나라에서 산지사면을 농업적 측면에서 효율적으로 이용하는 방안을 제시할 수 있다. 단양군 소백산맥 북서사면 지역의 수직적 토지이용의 구성에 의한 농업생산지대의 형성 메카니즘을 농업경영 형태와 수직적 농업 토지이용의 면에서 살펴 보면 다음과 같다. 농업 생산기반 요인으로는 자연환경요소인 기후와 토양 및 해발고도, 경지 소유관계로 자가 경지소유, 노동력은 가족 노동력, 농기계화와 모터리제이션, 그리고 농가와 경지와의 거리를 들 수 있다. 그리고 사회.경제적 요인으로는 상전의 토지이용 변화, 인접지역의 재배작물 영향, 인접지역으로부터 전입인구, 교통의 발달정도 등을 들 수 있다. 마지막으로는 농업정책의 요인으로는 특화단지 조성, 협업생산체제와 1군 1명품 사업 등을 들 수 있다.

A Life History Analysis on the Housing Mobility of the Married Women (기혼 여성의 주거 이동에 대한 생애사 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding of housing experiences of the married women in Korean sociocultural context and to explore their housing mobility. The grounded theory was adopted in this qualitative study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the seventeen married women. The major categories found in the data are 1) the inducement of housing mobility, 2) social constraint and opportunity, 3) the strategy and resource of housing mobility, 4) the intervening conditions, and 5) self-evaluation of their own housing life history. People construct their housing life history toward home ownership. There are a few factors to induce housing mobility, and social constraints and opportunity have an effect on obtaining home ownership. They utilize the diverse strategy and resource to solve their housing matter. Through interview, it is founded that they evaluate their housing career in the light of their life through interview.

  • 최근 경제발전(經濟發展) 및 민주화(民主化)의 꾸준한 진전에 따라 중산층(中産層)의 사회(社會) 경제적(經濟的) 위치(位置)나 역할(役割)이 점차 증대되고 있어 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 중산화(中産化) 가능계층(可能階層)의 주거안정(住居安定)을 위한 세제(稅制) 및 금융면(金融面)에서의 지원방안(支援方案)에 대해 살펴보았다. 본고(本稿)에서는 현재 주택(住宅)을 보유하고 있지 않으나 일정한 소득(所得)이 있고 어느 정도의 지원(支援)만 있으면 주택(住宅)을 구입할 수 있는 중산화(中産化) 가능계층(可能階層)의 자가소유(自家所有)를 촉진하기 위한 양도소득세제(讓渡所得稅制)와 재산세제(財産稅制)의 개편방향(改編方向)을 제시하고 주택금융확대(住宅金融擴大)를 위한 새로운 금융제도(金融制度)를 도입함으로써 주택금융(住宅金融)의 효율성(效率性) 제고(提高)와 금융(金融)서비스의 향상을 도모하고자 하였다.

The Effects of Homeownership on Welfare Perceptions (자가소유가 복지인식에 미치는 영향)

  • Homeownership is much more than a financial calculation. It is a socio-psychological phenomenon. During the last decade studies of homeownership have demonstrated a positive link between homeownership and positive social outcomes including welfare perceptions and attitudes. This study compared welfare perceptions between homeowners and renters in Korean Welfare Panel Survey using data collected in 2019. The study analyzed six continuous outcomes of welfare perceptions. Six variables indicating welfare perceptions included: (1) welfare and work disincentives; (2) welfare recipients are lazy; (3) welfare selectivism; (4) national minimum; (5) free university education and; (6) free child care and kindergarten. This study acknowledged bias arising from selection on observables. To control these biases, this study employed analytical approaches including the treatment effect model. Results of this study confirmed that attainment of homeownership is not possible for everyone. Findings from this study have provided some evidence that homeowners and renters have different perceptions on welfare listed above. Finally, issues relating to homeownership and welfare perceptions were discussed. Implications for social work practice and research were further discussed.

Homeownership Effects on Participation in Giving and Volunteering (자가소유가 기부와 자원봉사 참여에 미치는 영향)

  • The relationship between homeownership and participation in giving and volunteering overall indicates that homeowners are more likely to give and participate in volunteering organizations than renters. This study compared 'giving and participation in volunteering between homeowners(n=6,078) and renters(3,587) in the 14th Korean Welfare Panel Survey data collected in 2019. The outcome measure of study is a binary outcome of giving and volunteering participation. This study accounted for a bias arising from selection on observables. Specifically, this study employed a recursive bivariate probit model to simultaneously estimate respondents' participation in giving and volunteering participation and their selection of homeownership. Findings from this study have provided some evidence that homeowners and renters have different behaviors in giving and volunteering participation. Finally, issues relating to homeownership and social outcomes were discussed. Implications for social work practice and research were further discussed.
