Pristiphora (Pristiphora) apricoti Zinovjev, 1993, pest of Prunus armeniaca var. ansu Max, belonging to Nematinae of Tenthredinidae is newly recognized in South Korea. The host plant is recorded for the first time from South Korea. Diagnosis, rearing notes, and photographs of the diagnostic characters and oviposition are provided.

This study described and illustrated the morphology of the sawfly's larva Monocellicampa pruni Wei, 1998 for the first time. Our observations confirmed that its larval biology associated with Japanese plum Prunus salicina Lindl included five instars. The larvae of M. pruni are allied to the general morphology of subfamily Nematinae with a cylindrical body, globose head, 4-segmented antenna, thoracic legs with a distinct claw, and 5 dorsal annulets on abdominal segments I - VIII. The absence of anal prolegs after the first molting shows a distinction with the larvae of genus Hoplocampa.

Pachynematus itoi Okutani, belonging to the family Tenthredinidae(Hymenoptera), which infested Larix kaempferi(Lamb.) Carriere in the middle areas of Korea, is reported for the first time from Korea. External characteristics of adults are briefly redescribed with photos. Also its damages and bionomic data are discussed.

A larval attack leading to severe loss to fruit production of Japanese plum (Prunus salicina Lindl.) was reported in the orchards in Gwangyang, Jeonnam province, South Korea during the spring seasons of 2018 and 2019. As the result of investigation, the damage was identified to be caused by Monocellicampa pruni Wei of the family Tenthredinidae. In this study, we present the first report of this pest in Korea and describe the damage caused by the larvae as well as taxonomic information by illustrating the characteristics of male genitalia.

Collection data are given for a cimbicid sawfly, Praia ussuriensis Malaise, 1939, from Suwon, Kyonggi-do, Mt. Odae-san, Kangwon-do, Mt. Sobaek-san, Kyongsangbuk-do, and Mt. Chirisan, Chollanam-do. This is the first distribution record of the genus and species from Korea.

전국어디서나 쉽게 볼 수 있는 개나리는 봄이 오면 노란 꽃망울을 피워 우리의 가슴을 설레게 하는 봄의 전령이다. 노란 꽃은 병아리와 비유되어 어린 아이의 귀엽고 깜찍한 모습과 비교되는 우리와 매우 친숙한 나무이다. 전국의 어디서나 음지, 양지, 모두에서 잘 자라며 추위와 건조에도 매우 강하고, 공해와 염기에도 강하여 울타리 조성용, 조경수, 관상수 등으로 널리 보급되어 우리의 생활주변에 자리 잡은 나무이다. 개나리나무에 개나리잎벌, 좀검정잎벌, 식나무깍지벌레 등이 기생하여 피해를 주고 있어 이들에 대한 간략한 생태 및 방제법을 기술하고자 한다.
