Usability evaluation can be valuable tool for analyzing and improving computer software. Various usability evaluation methods have been developed in the fields of human-computer interaction and software ergonomics. Although there are several useful methods available, designers or engineers engaged in usability evaluations should really select the most suitable methods for each specific system being evaluated. Even different systems within the same organization may require different evaluation methods to maximize the quality of the data obtained from each evaluation. In this paper, the taxonomy of evaluation methods based on the development life cycle is presented and comparative analysis between methods is performed. In addition, the implications for selecting appropriate usability methods and using them collectively are discussed.

The basic purpose of the JIT(Just In Time) production system is to increase profits by reducing costs-that is, by completely eliminating waste such as excessive stocks or workforce. To achieve cost reduction, Production must promptly and flexibly adapt to changes in market demand without having wasteful slacks. :iuch an ideal is accomplished by the concept of JIT, producing the necessary items in the necessary quantities at the necessary time. The JIT production system is supported by the following: reduction of setup time, smoothing of production, standardization of jobs, improvement activities, design of machine layout, Kanban system, autonomation etc. This study examined the present state of the domestic JIT production system and introduced the empirical case of JIT application a small and medium manufacturing company. A synthetic resins manufacturing company applied JIT principles to its processes and achieved the great performance.

멸치, Engraulis japonicus는 우리나라 전 연안 (특히 남해안)에서 어획되는 일시다획성 어류로, 청어목 (Order Clupeiformes), 멸치과 (Family Engraulidae), 멸치속에 속한다 (국립수산진흥원, 1994). 우리나라에서 멸치의 생산은 주년 계속되나, 주 어기는3∼6월 사이에 나는 봄멸치와 9∼11월에 나는 가을멸치가 생산량이 많으며 (Lee, 1971; NFRDA, 1972), 봄멸치가 가을멸치보다 엑스분질소, 유리아미노산, oligopeptide류 및 ATP 관련물질과 같은 맛 성분의 함량이 높다 (Park, 2000). 멸치는 맛과 영양적인 면에서 우수하지만, 다른 어종에 비하여 부패속도가 빠르기 때문에 어획량의 90% 이상이 자건품, 젓갈 및 액젓의 원료로 사용되고 있으며, 대멸치를 원료로 한 멸치액젓은 옛부터 김치의 부재료, 간장대용, 무침이나 절임용 등 다양한 용도로 사용되어 왔다. Customer sensibility based recommendation agent system was developed to tailor to the customer the suggestion of goods and the description of store catalog in on-line shopping mall. The recommendation agent system composed of five modules and seven services including specialized algorithm. This study was to investigate the effectiveness of the customer sensibility based recommendation agent system in on-line shopping mall. This study asked 30 male and female students to perform the task in on-line shopping mall and facilitated them questionnaires. The questionnaires were administered to subjects to measure quality precision, ease of use, support of buying, purchasing power, future intention of the system. The study revealed that good part of the subjects positively evaluated the customer sensibility based recommendation system except for ease of use. The study on usability of the recommendation agent system has need to be performed in next. This paper shows that the satisfaction and the buying power of customers may be improved by presenting customer sensibility based recommendation in on-line shopping mall.

Usability has become a primary factor in determining the acceptability and consequent success of consumer product. It is common that the product usability is evaluated by objective performance measures and/or subjective user preference measures. This study is concerned with objective evaluation of the product usability using 3-dimensional motion analysis. We evaluated car-audio position using 3-dimensional motion analysis. The parameters investigated in this experiment were height of car-audio, left-right angle, and front-end angle. The experimental results showed that the usability evaluation method using motion analysis was consistent with user's subjective assessment. This objective method can be applied to not only car-audio position evaluation but also various consumer products'usability evaluation.

본 연구는 선박과 주위상태를 기지국에서 실시간으로 모니터링하고 기록하는 선박 관리 시스템에 대한 연구이다. 독점적인 시스템 메세지가 통신에 중개되도록 설계되어 있다. 디바이스 표준에 의하여 특정시스템 메시지가 규격화되고, 시스템에 부착되어진 각 통신장치에 특정화되도록 설계하였다. 또한 새로운 구성으로 관리자에 의해 원격으로 결정될 수 있는 기지국에 메시지를 선박상태를 업데이트하는 방법을 결정하도록 설계하였다.

80% MeOH extract of black rices fractionated with n-hexane, EtOAc, and n-BuOH. Copper-induced LDL oxidation inhibition assay and ACAT inhibition assay examined with fractions. n-Hexane and EtOAc fractions showed high inhibition activity. We divided n-hexane fraction into three sub-layers(H1 - H3) and EtOAc into eight sub-layers(E1 - E8). H1, H2, E6, and E7 are showed higher inhibition activity than standard in Lp-PLA2 inhibition assay and H1 and E6 are showed higher ACAT inhibition activity than standard.

Differentiated thyroid carcinomas are rarely associated with macroscopic vascular invasion and intraluminal tumor thrombus in great cervical veins. The best treatment for such cases appears to be a total thyroidectomy with en-block resection of the involved vessels, followed by postoperative radioiodine therapy(RI). We report two cases of follicular thyroid carcinoma with vascular invasion and intraluminal tumor thrombosis in great cervical veins that were successfully treated using complete surgical resection and postoperative RI.

Pilomatrixoma is an uncommon tumor arising from hair follicles. Commonly occur in children and most frequently in the head and neck region. It can be mistaken for parotid gland tumor, dermoid cyst, or epidermoid cyst, especially when large lesions develop over the periauricular area, difficulty discerning them from lesion developing within the superficial lobe of the parotid gland may occur. We experienced two cases of pilomatrixomas mimicking parotid gland tumor. Although their histologic appearance is characteristic, they may be clinically misdiagnosed. However, combining clinical information with the distinct histologic features should lead to the correct diagnosis.

이탈리안 라이그라스(Lolium multiflorum Lam.) 및 버뮤다그라스와 같은 벼과 잡초에 병해를 일으키는 Bipolaris cynodontis의 배양 추출물로부터 이탈리안 라이그라스 뿌리의 생육저해를 나타내는 3종류의 활성물질을 분리 정제하고 $^1H$, $^{13}C$ 및 2차원 NMR을 포함한 각종 기기분석방법을 통하여 이들 화함물들의 구조를 결정하였다. 이들 화합물들은 저자에 의하여 보고된 바 있는 cochlioquinol이라 명명된 화합물의 유도체들로서 지금까지 보고된 바 없는 새로운 물질이며 숙주식물 중의 하나인 이탈리안 라이그라스에 대하여 활성(20~70%)을 나타내는 것으로 보아 병원균의 병징 발현에 관여하는 것으로 보여진다.
