In order to use the VR HMD, operation through separate controllers in both hands is required. Methods for text input in VR include a method of selecting virtual keyboard keys on the screen one by one using a controller, a method of inputting through a keyboard that is a resource of a computer by connecting a computer and VR, or a method of inputting through a keyboard that is a resource of a computer by purchasing a wireless keyboard in VR and wireless keyboard connection method. As such, the text input method in current VR equipment causes inconvenience and additional costs to users. For these reasons, most of the VR-related contents are limited to simple functions such as games or viewers, and there is a risk that VR equipment will be recognized as a simple game machine. Therefore, in this study, a multi-input interface using hand tracking provided by the Oculus Quest2 device is designed and partially implemented. Through this, it is expected that various tasks such as document work and business processing as well as games can be conveniently used using VR equipment.

This study aims to examine the effects of employment on the physical health, psychological function, and life satisfaction of the elderly. Participants were 4,165 persons (men 1,739, women 2,426) aged 65 over. Physical health was composed of ADLs(Activities of daily living), pains, and disorders. Psychological function was measured by cognitive functions (subtraction, instruction execution, memory test, and item use) and emotional difficulty. Life satisfaction, work satisfaction, and work level were also measured. Major findings in this study are as follows: First, gender, marriage, and education level had significant effects on the participants' life satisfaction, but religion and financial incomes did not. Second, employment had significant effects on their physical health, psychological function, and life satisfaction. Third, pain, cognitive functions, emotional difficulty, and work satisfaction had significant effects on the life satisfaction of the working elderly. But, work level and incomes had not significant effects on the elderly's life satisfaction. In addition, an interaction between cognitive functions and emotional difficulty on life satisfaction was found.

The purpose of this study was to assess the performance of Korean public libraries based on the national representative sample using Vakkari and Serola's (2012) public library outcome scale. Conducting a web-based survey to 1,000 Korean adults nationwide, the responses of 629 respondents who had visited the public library in the past year were analyzed. Results showed that, among the 19 benefit areas, "reading fiction and non-fiction" was the most perceived benefit area followed by "acquiring educational opportunities", and "self-development during leisure time". The benefits were considerably lowly perceived in the rest 16 areas. Different from the original four-factor structure, "reading/self development" were emerged as a new factor in this Korean sample. The benefits were perceived differently by citizens with different socio-demographic backgrounds. Results informed the current status of the public library performance and values perceived by the general Korean adults population across the nation.

But, internationally integrated terminology and interpretation of definitions play an essential role in analytical chemistry fields. The review in this paper focused on problems associated with terminology, definitions, statistical theories, and practical performance of calibration and validation.

This study aimed to examine whether there was difference on visual fatigue between active seniors and young people, and to provide a guideline for appropriate computer use time for seniors. Blinking rate, maximal blinking interval, temperature of the ocular surface, visual fatigue questionnare were evaluated. The blinking rate, ocular surface temperature, visual fatigue showed significant change before and after the tasks. There was no difference between the two groups and thus, about 30-minute computer work appeared to be appropriate for seniors.

현대 과학 기술은 개개의 분야의 고유성과 특성이 점차 모호해지고 여타 분야와의 접목 내지는 응용의 발판을 넓혀 점차 실용화하는 추세이다. 특히 경제성과 밀접한 관련이 있는 엔지니어링 분야가 더욱 그러하다. 일상생활에서 사용되는 컴퓨터의 진보는 그간 학문적인 연구에 소요되었던 시간을 단축시켰으며 연산가능 범위를 확대하였고 이것을 바탕으로 우리는 좀더 세밀하고 정확한 진단과 예측이 가능해졌다. 이는 엔지니어들이 갖추어야할 지식체계에도 영향을 주어 과거 배타적이며 폐쇄적인 업무성향을 개방적이고 공유 가능한 대상으로 변모가능하게 되었다는 점에서 의의가 크다. 특히 정보 전달의 측면에서 보면 최근 부각되고 있는 그래픽적 요소를 가미한 해석프로그램을 주목해야만 한다. 일반적인 데이터 나열이나 조작 시에 사용되던 텍스트 기법이 다이얼로그 상자를 통해 좀더 인터렉티브한 환경으로 바뀌었고 현재는 이러한 내용을 그래픽적인 환경으로 재해석하고자 하고 있다. 바로 이러한 노력의 일환으로 본 논문 역시 그래픽 시뮬레이터 개발에 관해 다루게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 그래픽이란 주제를 좀더 심층적으로 다루어 사용자 정의 타입의 단계까지 논함으로써 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향을 제시해 보고자 한다.

This study analysed the long-term plans of academic libraries to raise their usefulness at universities in Korea. Especially, this study focused the evaluation of strategic plans, and drew an evaluation guideline based on the evaluation methods of strategic plan of academic library in foreign countries. This study checked the long-term development plans of academic libraries in Korea, and evaluated how much the core elements of strategic plan are reflected in the long-term plans. As the result, it has come out that there are more characteristics of operation plans as routine services than those of strategic plan as long-term view which contributes to the development of libraries in the long-term plans of academic libraries in Korea.

컴퓨터 에이전트가 우리의 일상에 미치는 영향력이 커지고 에이전트와의 상호작용이 대인 상호작용과 유사하게 변화할수록, 업무적 효율성보다 에이전트와의 상호작용에서 사용자가 겪게 되는 심리적 사회적 경험이 중요해진다. 사용자의 긍정적인 심리적 경험을 유도하기 위해 에이전트와 사용자의 상호작용에서 사회적 실재감(social presence)을 증진시키고자 하는 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 이러한 연구들에서는 에이전트의 언어적/비언어적 커뮤니케이션에 대인적 요소를 적용함으로써 사회적 실재감을 증진시키고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 대인관계에서 매우 중요한 커뮤니케이션 요소인 상호적 자기노출(self-disclosure)이 사용자들의 사회적 실재감 인식과 에이전트 평가, 사용자 경험에 있어 어떠한 효과를 갖는지 살펴보고, 또한 개인의 성격변인인 애착유형(attachment styles)은 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 또한 사회적 실재감이 에이전트 평가와 사용자 경험에 대한 효과를 매개하는지 알아보았다. 실험 결과 에이전트와의 상호적 자기노출 교환은 사회적 실재감을 증진시키고 에이전트에 대한 호의적 평가와 긍정적인 사용자 경험을 유도하였으며, 향후 상호작용 의사를 증진시켰다. 또한 피험자의 애착유형에 따라 사회적 실재감, 에이전트 평가, 사용자 경험, 향후 상호작용 의사가 다르게 나타났다. 종속변인에 대한 자기노출 교환과 애착유형의 효과는 지각된 사회적 실재감에 의해 매개되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 에이전트 설계에 커뮤니케이션적 측면이 중요하게 고려되어야 함을 시사한다. 또한 에이전트가 사용자들에게 미치는 심리적 효과는 사용자의 성격 특성에 따라 다르게 나타날 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.

The advance in mobile devices such as smartphone, wireless networking, and Internet technologies enables many organizations to improve drastically not only the ways of carrying out every job activity but also their business processes and operations management. As the effort to work smart utilizing the technological change, they are interested in the implementation of Smart Work environment. In this paper we examine several types of smart work and their service scenarios. We also describe the structures of networking and system configurations for building up the smart work environment. These study results may be useful as reference materials for the successful implementation of smart work.

The importance of fire safety services has increased expanding its services into prevention of danger and the reinforcement of safety services. The purpose of this study is to suggest a way for effective safety service by surveying fire fighters and residents of Gyeonggi Province and examining theories of safety services and actual status of 119 safety units. This study suggests the use of social capital by local community, establishment of cooperation between organizations, supports by citizens, cooperative activities by organizations, difference between emergency report and non emergency report and social safety net role of safety fire services.
