  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing insufficient physical activity in older cancer patients. Data were analyzed from the 2014 Survey of Living Condition of Elderly study. Metabolic Equivalent Tasks(MET) hours were calculated using self-reported weekly frequency, duration and types of physical activities to measure the degree of physical activity. Factors influencing insufficient physical activity in older adults included limitations in ADL and IADL, depression, impaired cognitive function, current smoker, lower levels of social activity participation and life satisfaction with social or leisure activities. When adjusted for demographic factors, patients with ADL limitation had 2.8 times (OR=2.762, CI=1.110, 7.952) higher risks of insufficient physical activities than those without. Current smokers had 2.4 times (OR=2.426, CI=1.113, 5.288) higher risks than non-smokers.

The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result, the physical characteristics of elderly women were classified by the activities of daily living(ADL), physical function, and disease status. The social characteristics of elderly women were classified by the religious and social activities. ADL, physical function, religious and social activities were shown to influence the self-esteem. • The current study examined the mediating effect of self-efficacy (SE) in the relationship between work ability (WA) and work satisfaction (WS) perceived by reemployed workers who have experienced industrial accidents based on social cognitive career theory (SCCT), and investigated the effect of Industrial accident sequelae and workplace relationships (WR) on these variables. The data of 976 newly employed workers were selected from the data of the Panel Study of Worker's Compensation Insurance collected in 2018. The data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling through SPSS and AMOS programs. It was found that WA had a positive effect on WS through SE. In addition, it was found that the level of pain, the severity of the disability, and the activities of daily living had a negative effect on WS through WA and SE sequentially. Meanwhile, it was found that the WR was affected by the activities of daily living, and had a positive effect on WS through WE. These results emphasize that it is important to provide support to manage sequelae and increase SE in order to help victims of industrial accidents return to the job market and live satisfactorily. It also suggests that SCCT is useful in explaining WS of industrially injured workers.

  • This study analyzed the factors influencing the satisfaction of school students in Covid-19. The subjects of the study were surveyed in all 5th-6th grade of elementary school students, 1st-3rd grade of middle school, and 1st and 2nd grade of high school students in G metropolitan city. A total of 13,672 students participated in the survey, of which 13,613 were used for final data analysis. A hierarchical regression analysis of factors affecting students' life satisfaction showed that 22.2% of school life factors, 4.7% of home life factors, and 10.7% of daily stressors. The most influential factor in Covid-19 was home life satisfaction. Next was appearance stress for elementary school students and academic stress for middle and high school students. This can be seen as a result of Covid-19, which increased non-face-to-face classes and increased time for students to spend at home, which led to a greater impact on students' satisfaction in life. Nevertheless, middle and high school students can still see that academic stress has a significant impact on life satisfaction. Through this, it is necessary to support students to facilitate relationships, communication, studies, and leisure at home in the context of Corona 19. Especially, various educational policies must be accompanied so that the educational gap due to non-face-to-face classes does not deepen depending on the family environment.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between satisfaction with facility, depression and ADL in elderly people residing in nursing homes. Data were collected between April 4 and 16, 2001 using a structured questionnaire which included general characteristics, facility satisfaction, depression and ADL scales. The results of this study are summarized as follows : 1. Depression and ADL showed a significant relationship(r=0.340, p=0.004). 2. ADL and satisfaction with facility also showed a significant relationship(r= 0.401. p=0.001). 3. There was no direct relationship between depression and satisfaction with facility (r=0.133. p=0.269). In conclusion, the following suggestions are made : First there is a need for continuous study on the relationship between satisfaction with facility. depression and ADL in elderly people residing in nursing homes. Second, a wide range of study on elderly people who live in home and stay at hospital in addition to those who reside in nursing homes is required.

  • This study compared the utility of walking aids, and activities of daily life depending on the ability of people with mobility disabilities to use walking aids. Data were extracted from the Korea Welfare Panel Study in 2014. Data of 435,947 individuals were analyzed using chi-square and t-tests. The findings from this study showed that disabled persons who cannot use walking aids independently were more likely to have a severe disability level and a lower level of daily activities than the independent group. The level of social participation and leisure activities were also significantly lower in the dependent than the independent group. Therefore, walking aids should be tailored for individuals depending on their level of independence for using walking aids.
